After a couple of months check to see if it is still recording. Mine stopped because it didn't loop, it just stopped. I formatted the card this time to see if it fixes it.
@@denniskeokot1232 It took a little time and routing of the cable as well a drilling a hole near the rear of the bed, then cable ties to hold the wire in place under the bed, but it wasn't difficult, just time consuming.
While the look is clean I have 3 issues with this. 1) The lens is not adjustable. There should be some ability to as I believe there is too much of the hood being show on the MDX version 2) No sound to identify that the unit has powered on. I believe some of the earlier models had issues just dying after a month of use which was resolved. If this stops working you might not notice that small dim LED which shows if it is on. Even then you have no idea if it is working 3) With no voice you won't know if there is an issues with the microSD card With these issues IMO I would say to get a Viofo over this. Yes it might not look as hidden but I prefer functionality and knowing my device works or has some sort of issues instead of coming into a situation of an accident and then not having the video which I would need.
All valid points. I still prefer this for its looks. But from the drivers seat I don’t know if it’s on or not. Rear view mirror blocks the light indicators. And as you mentioned no audible indicator. Room for future improvements. I honestly forget I have it sometimes. As far as it breaking, it’s still working for me. We will see long term.
Great video. Quick question, do you have to hit the power button and turn camera on every time you start the truck or does it do it automatically? Is it recording while truck is off too?
Thank you. You don’t have to hit the power button to turn it on. It automatically starts recording when you start the vehicle. It does NOT record when the vehicle is off.
Power button turns off the camera when the car is powered on if you want it off. The camera button resets the camera back to factory settings. Once you set it up it’s really hands off. Car is on and it records. That’s it.
Yeah the company thinks i may have gotten a bad Y harness, the lights on my camera would not light up. The company mailed me a new one which i just got in the mail. I truly hope it works or else i think I'll have to return the entire device. Wish me luck! Oh and you may wanna tell everyone to turn the car on prior to putting everything back together just in case something is wrong with the harness.

Got it today and everything fired right up, great dash cam, I cannot understand why anyone would want any other dashcam. Seems to me that people forget what a dashcam's main purpose is, determining fault. Too many people are thinking you need to be able to watch your dashcam like a video platform.

I’ve had no issues with the camera itself. The app could be better as far as connecting to view your videos. Sometimes just takes too long. I prefer taking the micro as card and putting it in my Mac if I need to.
Thank you. I believe it should. According to their website it shows it fitting a 2018 Tacoma. I know the one I have is powered by the ACC power supply. Maybe email/text them to confirm if you need anything else if your Tacoma doesn’t have ACC
Hi Phuong. This particular model does not have a parking mode. Not sure if Fitcamx offers one with it. The power supply to the camera piggy backs off the power supply to the safety sense module, so you only have power to the camera when the car is on. It came with a 64g micro SD card. I’m sure it can accommodate a larger card. It loop records so when the card fills up, it deletes the older recordings. You can change the loop recording time intervals between 1, 3, and 5 minutes.
No there is no specific app on a Mac or pc, just the standard file viewer software on the computer. The micro SD card is inserted into a standard SD card adapter. Then that standard size SD card is inserted into the computer. It comes up as an MOV file on Mac, haven’t tried PC.
Nice dash cam but I hate the fact it doesn’t have parking mode. Someone hit the front of my Tacoma and caused a lot of damage to the front grill while it was parked. The cost of my deductible on my insurance, I should of spent the money on a dash cam that had parking mode. I don’t recommend it.
Awe man that sucks to hear that happened to you. That is one con of this particular camera but I guess something is better than nothing. I like what Tesla does with there vehicles with the Sentry mode. Hopefully more automakers adopt it.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. There are different features to this camera. If you use the rearview mirror then you won't get parking mode however when purchasing you can let the seller know you want that feature and you can purchase the hardwire kit which allows that.
Is the camera lens adjustable by direction, or is it fixed at one position (dead ahead)? I have a new 2023 Accord that I’d like to have their camera mounted, but I just don’t see how the mirror shroud can be removed (their instructions are for a 2022 Accord, which is not the same).
I haven’t seen what they have for 2023 Accords. The particular one I have has a fixed lens which has a slight fish eye effect. There is no adjustability.

I bought the front and rear dashcam today. I did my best to install it but I can't download the app. It continues to 'rotate' and won't coordinate. I tried it with the car running and off, bluetooth on and off, cellular plan on and off. I must be doing something wrong that is a simple fix. Is the SD car on the right, I saw nothing in the literature about it. What is the USB thing for...nothing in the literature for that either. If you need to save some video, is it done thru the phone's app.....I have not gotten that far yet. Have you considered getting the optional cable for parking? I wish their installation guide was more thorough, I watched the one they produced but there was nothing in the video related to the above questions, thanks
Hi Raymond. As far as downloading the app to your phone, maybe the storage is full on your phone and you don’t have enough space for it? Try restarting your your phone. Once you down load the app, the phone connects to the camera via wifi. Your car needs to be running in order to get power to the camera. The camera is almost like a wifi router, you connect to that in your settings first. Once connected, go back to your app to connect to the camera to use its features, see your videos etc. in the app you can download videos to your phone directly. There is a micro SD card in the slot on the right. To get that out, you have to push the card in and it should click out. Could be a little hard so might need something thin like a pen. That micro SD card is inserted to the “USB thing”. You can plug the usb into your computer to download files that way. I haven’t seen the cable thing for parking? What is that? Hope this helps. Let me know how you make out.

Then I was able to download the app. And my car was not running previously. I figured out that the USB was a courtesy and I found the SD port. I was able to see the first recordings and it is working fine, thanks for your help. But I still think they could do a better job of preparing an installation guide, several points were not covered.

Uhm! Nighttime video was mediocre. Daytime can see much cloudiness and unfocused as the optical sensor "camera" has a difficult time. Are you running at 60 or 30fps? Were you able to set it for 4k? You have driven past a couple vehicles and were not able to read the plate as they were hazy-blurry- distorted-artifacts. A blotchy recorded video is not for me! Not worth the money.
Hey there. My particular model I believe is only 30FPS. I don’t see a way to change it to 60FPS in the settings with my model. Resolution is as high as it will go which is 3840x2160. Keep in mind my video edit and upload was only at 1080p so you are not going to see full resolution on your end. Also the type of screen you use has to have 4k capability when viewing it on your phone( direct WiFi connect to the camera) or PC with the SD card. I would say when I viewed it on my PC the resolution was very good and legible in most cases. But having a camera vs no camera is better than nothing. Even a cheap model. This model is on the higher side but paying for the OEM look. Having a camera is good in multiple scenarios, such as if you had a green light and someone runs their light and T-Bones you, etc.

Still good man. Have had no issues with the camera. This had no effect on the safety sense operation. This just piggy 🐷 backs off the power supply.

I heard it doesn’t matter cause dash cans usually can’t even see plates and most parked hits you’ll never get clear sight of plate
