We're going to Colombia! ✈️ ( for those who don't follow me on instagram 😆)
Travel with me from Kingston, Jamaica's Norman Manley International Airport to Jose Maria Cordova International Airport in Antioquia as I make my way to Medellin, Colombia. I had a 14hour layover in Panama's Tocumen International with plans to explore the county but after being denied entry for not having an hotel reservation I had to spend my entire time in the airport.

Good to hear that all went ok. Panama has started to reinforce the entry requirements for Jamaicans due to the number of people heading north. If you had know, while you landed in Panama you could have quickly booked a hotel to show proof of stay and then they might have let you in when you went to immigration. If you are staying in the terminal and transiting to another country then no issues as long as you have your onward ticket and required documents for your next destination. For Jamaicans entering Panama, ensure you have your return ticket or onward ticket to your final destination, hotel reservation, minimum of US$500 per person in cash, you can show your bank balance if you have online banking or they might take you an ATM for you to prove you have enough money for your trip. For those returning to Jamaica ensure you have your yellow fever vaccine certificate otherwise you might face some inconvenience. Have print out of your documents, that can make it easier during your immigration interview. When you land in Panama and entering Panama expect to have your biometrics taken before you are granted approval for entry.
On a recent flight from Panama back to Ja there were about 6 people who were rejected entry into Panama and deported back to Ja.

One trick to avoid oversleeping is setting multiple alarms (even up to 10!) so you don't oversleep. This is my ultimate travel hack for very early flights and it works. Layovers have to be carefully planned out - maybe next time! Great video!!

I will be traveling solo next month to Jamaica, I'm a little nervous. Everyone said its a beautiful island but be very careful. I want my experience to be as local as possible plus eat eat some good road food no resort food
