I tend to watch Dan Olson's video on Annihilation every once in a while to remind myself on what analysis can be, since I often just forget to see the human story and tend to see the societal implications only. You did well too, it was a nice trip through your own thoughts and ideas!

seriously though as someone who grew up with fnaf theories i cant help but love them, but fan theories for most other media that doesn't invite this kind of theorycrafting do kind of ruin them. i feel like it depends on what you're theorizing about, and if that media invites it and/or the theory enhances your enjoyment of it.
i'm not a taylor swift fan but there could've been a whole other section of this video where you just talk about how she leaves these breadcrumbs and asks her fans to make theories of stuff and analyze her work and her promos and stuff. i've learned so much through the people around me that love her, it's honestly kinda fascinating and fun and i wish i enjoyed her music to participate in some arg-lite activities whenever a new album for an artist came out.

I'm pretty sure Abrams' empty mystery boxes destroyed everyone's enjoyment of theories 😂 That's the problem of the writer, not the theories themselves or the fans who want to have fun analyzing the plot.
