Interesting, I’m a plumber by trade. Didn’t realize you could use pvc cement to patch holes. I imagine you need to let the air out of the tub to fix the holes or no?
Used PVC Cement on the seam on my Intex Pure Spa and worked like a charm. Had a few pin holes so I did the hole seam. No more air leaks. The patches on the seam don't hold..Thanx
Did you ever get an "over-time update?" My pvc glue was in my hand, until I read a plumber's comment stating, "NOooo!" BUT...The shoegoo/E600 masked with ductape worked really good, but, like he said, "the pinholes have a tendency to travel." After I fixed the first three pinholes, each on different seams, with goo-n-dtape, I got 3 more pinholio's of travel but just on one seam. I sprayed the seam lightly down lengthwise with Flexseal. Don't do that - by experience. Didnt work. I let it cure for the 24☹. When ya let that cure, it's a bigger pain in the rumpkiss taking it off. Any type of acetone cleaner will rapidly weaken the tub wall if left on for "ANY" length of time...NO, I didn't do it to me tub, but IT WILL. I have used acetone on other things i was trying to fix and most of that now resudes at the local dump. I'm a pretty handy crafty dob and have made plenty of mistakes through my own personal journey-woman-fix-it-myself genius thoughts...I'm either a hero or a zero😁. I do however, enjoy my electrically expensive hillbilly blowup Coleman Saluspa.🙂
@@shingadere I would love to know how you got the flex-seal off without destroying the hot tub material. I kept trying the flex-seal over and over hoping if I let it cure longer it would work. Now I need to get rid of that if I'm going to have any chance of getting a different strategy to work
@@sersdf Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to get rid of it entirely... But I don't give up easily. I ended up cutting an old tent up and gluing it around the rim (white part) so I could keep my hair and skin. The one area I had sprayed on the inside wall I rubbed and rubbed with my fingers/hand and got it to roll off, (rub-N-pick) and replaced that little hole with flexible JB waterweld, (Don't get the stick puddy). It worked well. All in all, mine is not something one would keep on the backside of their barn, but it worked :). I did have another weak idea after all that, but it was too late. I'll share it and if you try it, ya got to let me know how that went. I recently refurbished my big chest freezer. Appliance Paint...flexseal is suppose to be paintable and this paint is thicker than regular. Being appliance paint, I contemplated standing up to the heat? Or put pond liner glued with pvc or rubber cement over it? I'm giving mine away.
Thank you for sharing this information with us! I have found that by using a magic eraser it wil easily clean off the hot tub cover. Additionally, you find that when you are inflating your hot tub, (like I did), I did not take in to consideration external temperature changes & additional pressure inside the tub when it is occupied. Have had our hot tub for about 2 years now, and only had 1 pin hole that I temporarily sealed with clear flextape (it didn't hold. Thank you so much for pointing out PVC glue. I would have never thought of that. Im just wondering if the PVC glue will hold at max temperature of 104, inside the hot tub. Any suggestions?
Did you have to empty the water as well?? I’m assuming so along with the air pressure….. and I’m just really not wanting to have to do that…. Please tell me o don’t have to !🥺
@@ninjoo4838 Hi there! Did you find a fix for your hot tub? Mine has a hole underneath the jets tube that runs all along the bottom... The hole is like 2 inches large. I think I might've just ripped in cleaning the darn thing, and didin't feel it rip...does it lose water ? Can I fix it? hoping you'll get this message! thanks11
Does this work on an inner seam where water is, because patches don't work and how often should I touch it up?
How did you hook up the external water heater

did u just troll a patch kit tutorial for an inflatable spa? perfect example of why no one respects plumbers.

Do you have a video on how you have that campluxe hooked up for the spa?! That's a great idea! Thanks for the video!
I’d love to see that, too! What temperature can you get up to ?
@@richardfraustoVERY HOT! LIKE BOILING!
I love the main plug by the pool
Thank youu🎉🎉
Any update on how this worked over time??

@@shingadere will this method work on internal seams? mine popped quite near the top but it will be exposed to water and the heat

Boom! Thank you! A pinhole leak on interior seam just emerged on mine.
Did this work on the inside?
Is there any updates on this? Would like to see how you fixed this step by step.

Could you use this stuff to stick a patch to it?
Gonna try in an . Fingers crossed 🤞
Did not work hh66 better
Those Coleman's are the worst
so what's the best?
Your my long lost brother. I have the exact same set up. Same propane heater and all. What pump do you use from your heater
Do not use PVC cement,it is to strong (toxic) for rubber spa, would affect it(and bot glued either)
lol its not rubber
My lazy spa has split at the seam for the jets tried several different glues and patches nothing seems to work anyone have any good ideas
Once iturn the jets on it blows them right off
