I like how this ending doesn’t fully feel like this og higurashi, but has umineko like vibes in it, 1:03 sounds similiar to saku ps3 opening. For me it feels like these next episodes may finally tie umineko and higurashi, both characters and concepts of games. Since this anime likes to give us flashbacks I wonder if we get some Saikoroshi ones to which Bern plot is kinda tied

Higurashi Gou has an awesome OP and I’ll forever like it, but this might be one of the few rare moments where I loved the endings a bit more than the opening.
I really hope they give us answer arcs to Onimadashi and specially Watamadashi since these were really covered in mistery into what caused the curse and murders those times.

@@Henry_Red I've met my share of people that haven't been able to appreciate Gou properly, just because it's not the same as the OG higurashi. Man, those that know Ryukishi's writing style can appreciate every detail he puts in the story to slowly develop the characters and lead them to their climax. I have thoroughly enjoyed Gou so far and like you have explored all possibilities and haven't stopped thinking as to what could be happening. To those that can't appreciate this series, truly do not understand Ryukishi's writing style, or what he's trying to tell us players/readers. Remember, Umineko showed us there are shitty goats that theorize horribly and don't even try to understand the story, or the heart of things. There will always be people like that, just stick to those that enjoy the mystery and want to solve it as well. When you refuse to think, you basically gave up.
@@Henry_Red we are in for a loop, and we know that the gore is coming. The horror and despair of not knowing what will befall the characters is much more horrifying than the gore. If you want gore go watch Higurashi season 1 (cause not even Kai was that gory, so is Kai not higurashi based on their logic?). Gou has enough suspense, despair and thrills to keep us pondering wtf will happen to the characters and what fate befalls them. In that sense, this 5th season (considering Higurashi, Kai, rei, kira) is the sequel I never wished for, and the incredible continuation that will finally lead to Umineko prequel, AND QUITE POSSIBLY THE UMINEKO ANIMATION ITSELF! It deserves a second chance and many people agree and are hype/eager for Gou to finish to see what the next step will be. If it just ends with Higurashi it's OK cause it filled in gaps between Higurashi and Umineko. But that's what we're here for, to theorize, go crazy and fall in despair at not knowing what will happen to our favorite characters, over 4 min of a nail ripping scene (which was impactful for sure, but gore itself isn't what makes Higurashi, it's everything mixed up: cute, horror, suspense, gore, mystery, happy moments, etc). Higurashi is so much more than just Gore, and I'm grateful for Ryukishi to have done this for us real fans
I have been eagerly awaiting this song! Just as I expected, it was worth it. This is already best ending song of 2021 ( in my opinion). Love the foreboding and more intense nature of the song melody and lyrics. This anime has consistently have had top notch bangers for op/ed songs. Can't wait for full version cause I love this song already. Beautiful ❤️💘
Ayane’s work is always so amazing! This ED is intense for an ending song..! No matter what you think of Higurashi and Gou, you have to at least agree that the openings and endings are great
I'm actually wondering why no one is talking about Shion... She literally has weirdly low screentime in Gou and when she is present in the show, she acts kind of out of place.
I wonder if they will remake the intro, not completely but like they did to Kai, they might change up the intro a little bit, but will still have the same song, only slight changes

I really recommend reading the visual novel series instead of the anime, the anime really isn't that great. Has a lot of problems. I'm hoping we get a new Umineko anime after this I feel like they might be leading us into one
As others, I'd recommend reading the Visual Novel instead of watching the anime. Not only did they screw up the Umineko anime, they didn't even finish it (they aired only the question arcs, but the answer arcs were never animated). If you don't like Visual Novels, then read the manga, it doesn't contain as many details as the VN, but it does a good job of adapting most of it and it does contain a manga-only chapter that is basically a mandatory read for anyone who has finished reading the Umineko VN.
the vn will be more hardhitting and intriguing than the anime. one of the main characters only has one line in an entire episode due to the poor adaption
Before listening the 2nd ED I didn't like the idea of them changing the amazing first one. After hearing this though and somewhat understanding where the series is going I really like this and the atmosphere is creates.

So, satoko is cured from hinamizawa syndrome. Ok. Satoko is evil and might kill everyone (maybe) if she see that rika will left hinamizawa, it might happen again. So, what could stop satoko ? The sword ? The friendship ? Yes and yes. I guess the witch or the thing that live inside of her will die because of the sword or something like that, cause its important in the last episodes. But i would love satoshi to be cured and return towards satoko. If satoko is absolutely cured and the village is almost good, then i wouldnt be surprised if satoshi too. I still find it hard to believe that this is realated to Umineko (that anime sucks btw) Lets exam episode 16, 17, and 18. Still not enough evidence. In Kai Haynuu saved Rika, right before loop ended and in Rei she reminds Rika how much life is important welhy turn evil now or even tell her about the sword? As for Satoko she is clawing out her neck while revealing all this information. I believe somebody is speaking _through_ Satoko and not Satoko herself that is jealous or wants to keep Rika around. Not only that, but she ends up dying in multiple loops why would she end herself as well as trying to keep Rika in town? *I think we might have gotten this all wrong and Riikahy07 is throwing us for a loop.* I'm following up on episode 17 This actually proves my point even more. Somebody else is using Satoko. She isn't in control at all, Keichii in the original series remember the Time loops at one point. Does that make him a Looper no there is something big coming. Satoko is still same old Satoko she herself isn't evil she's just a vessel. As for episode 18 this is an obvious red herring, don't fall for it. There is no way that Satoko could turn on Rika like this *unless* she failed the exam and went to the Academic on her own, which would explain why they made Satoko lose the card game because of lack of memory. However, if that was the case she would just study hard to go after Rika, not try to kill her.... I'll say it again Satoko had nothing to do with this.
The two ED’s are like polar opposites, God Syndrome being more melancholic and this one being more intense, I love them.

I watched all 4 seasons of Higurashi in 2017 & now I found Umineko reference.
Gotta watch it to stay relevant.
I really do not recommend Umineko's anime, it is an aberration you better watch the manga or the visual novels...
Moreover, I would dare to say that perhaps with this season they want to connect to make a Reboot, which is what any fan would want :v
Go with the VN for Umineko. And if you're interested, read Higurashi's VN as well, it's worth it even knowing the story.

Still not enough evidence. In Kai Haynuu saved Rika, right before loop ended and in Rei she reminds Rika how much life is important welhy turn evil now or even tell her about the sword?
As for Satoko she is clawing out her neck while revealing all this information. I believe somebody is speaking _through_ Satoko and not Satoko herself that is jealous or wants to keep Rika around. Not only that, but she ends up dying in multiple loops why would she end herself as well as trying to keep Rika in town?

This actually proves my point even more. Somebody else is using Satoko. She isn't in control at all, Keichii in the original series remember the Time loops at one point. Does that make him a Looper no there is something big coming. Satoko is still same old Satoko she herself isn't evil she's just a vessel.
As for episode 18 this is an obvious red herring, don't fall for it. There is no way that Satoko could turn on Rika like this *unless* she failed the exam and went to the Academic on her own, which would explain why they made Satoko lose the card game because of lack of memory. However, if that was the case she would just study hard to go after Rika, not try to kill her.... I'll say it again Satoko had nothing to do with this.
The umineko anime adaptation is horrible, but you should try the manga or the visual novel. They are amazing.
The anime of Umineko sucks yes, but the novel is a masterpiece among visual novels.
