I just want to mention, player sonics eyes are CLOSED. Which could mean he was completely in the DARK about this, and didn't know jared, and didn't know about the affair of her and jared..

My theory for Sonic closed eyes is that he feels like he has done this before but wasn't sure of it yet or Sonic did something before the games events might've made him closed his eyes.

My theory is that the conversation in the sprites was just Sonic talking to himself while he was heading to green mountain by himself.
6:17 Maybe sonic crawling out of something? The sprite's name itself is "Returnal", so he must return from something
Maybe its a photo taken during the fight with melted sonic (yes im calling the void thing melted sonic) Maybe the narrative takes place *in* sonic, or everything is represented as sonic no matter what

6:27 my theory is , that this is jared´s body , presumably in a body bag . My reason behind this is , because the shape , what you think is the mountain , looks more like a shiny fabric (not to mention the length of the shadow) .
A second theory is , that this could be Person B coughing up blood/being dead , hence the red hue at the "Head" of the person/object .
I think sonic eyes are closed because he doesn't want to see what is going to happen to him
This is definitely the supperior EXE game. Already the distorted colors on the level made me uncomfortable. So this was a great review of the fan game!

This is sort of the Renaissance for EXE games. We've EYX, OLT, PCPort and much more. Only took us a decade.
There already have been some people brightening and making clear what the "Returnal" image is supposed to be.
It is some sort of corpse or feral demonic looking Sonic.
It actually looks really disturbing the more you look at it and look at what people's interpretation of the creature is.
Despite his typical spooky demonic face his act is rather odd, he is too weak to actually hurt the blind sonic and just give up the fight at some point. and then the blinded one become the clone of him.
Would be nice to see more clues revealed.

I'm not sure if the faceless Sonic and the Returnal creature are the same.
I think Returnal is to represent some sort of corpse instead, maybe the one the two wanted to bury.
@@gamerowl9934 i thought the in-game faceless sonic was the buried corpse went back to life with some purpose, hence the name 'returnal'.
Though there isn't any actual hint about the relation between blind sonic, faceless sonic, and returnal picture.
6:27 i can see a shoe in the bottom right where the darkness is. The sonic body looks a lot more human-like. I also might be able to make out some arms or hands

The person made this game made a prequel to this called Green Mountain Two i basically access the data of that game and found another conversion about Person B talking to his therapist about David which i assume is Person A and yeah some lines were confusing but yeah you should talk about it.
Ok so I actually decide to edit the photo myself and yep... Thats definitely a sonic on all fours crawling around, looks Like sonic in game when there lower bits are melted but both the eyes... I think the figure represents jarrades corpse on the ground but I have little to no evidence to support it myself so eh, just a idea im throwing in

6:17 It looks like an elongated, starved sonic corpse with an exposed, battered face laying on it's side. I assume that this, thing crawled out of the ground and may also be missing it's stomach to mirror End more. The image's name is Returnal so it may be representing Jared climbing up from the grave to get his revenge?
So this dude made joke lyric videos which made Luigi homophobic. Then he makes something more traditional like this. Not what I expected.
My only theory is that person A and B were probably trying to bury something because at the game over the sound is from a phone which is 811 but you need to call before you go bury something maybe Sonic or that black Sonic...
To me at least I see this story at least in my interpatation of the story is person A and B is the sonic and the odd shadowy sonic speaking to each other while he is climbing the mountain. And when he said "I don't want to talk..." about "Her" I see this is about amy and she may have died in this universe and the jared thing is likely the last person the shadowy sonic met before he defeated them or the person or entity that is controlling the game forcing sonic to kill amy the image is likely a image of sonic staring off like he was at the end of green mountain

I have two branching theories based off of yours and Plague's beliefs of the possible identity of the Returnal image.
If your theory is correct, and that is in fact a mountain of some sort, I believe it could be that the image was taken while on Green Mountain. The strange Hill-esque shape is in fact where persons A and B buried the body. If that's the case, then the image being shown could also potentially the remains of Person B if what you're saying happens to be true.
If Plague is correct, and it happens to be the creepy Void Sonic (Or "End", as the community has started to refer to it as), then it is possible that End is a ghost of some kind, or perhaps, it is artwork of Sonic and Tails burying an animal by the name of Jared. A user in the comments named Blakebutler4025 mentioned that Jared could potentially be someone important to Cream, like maybe her pet Chao, but i find it highly unlikely.
I'm personally more impartial to your theory, since games like this more often than not have a tie-in to real world events, and Jared doesn't sound like any sonic character I've ever heard before. It's also possible that Jared is unused content from a sonic game however, and Greenmoun_s o n i c is possibly coming up with a horrifying take on why he went unused.

Am going to guess this is a murder of some one and her could be probably the victim of this or this is a loop and the doopleganger could be a sprit of a dead sonic to escape from sonic and trying to warn sonic if he kills it he will die probably the doopleganger is a corpse
maybe this might be like needlemouse? where the person comes back to haunt the person who committed the sin in the form of a corrupted sonic game for god knows how long? anyway, this is just my theory so dont take it personally
