Here’s the crux , that no one has thought of . If you ever want sway someone over to another brand , videos like this are perfect examples. I know how well the Klipsch sounds from other unbiased videos. I think what he’d done was use the apps on his phone to intentionally make Klipsch sound muddy and took away the top end .
hey ! it would be great if also in the video editing you include the original track ! so with the headphones I can compare with the original sound and intention. The Three here sounds distorting the bass.. but maybe that is the original bass ? I can not be sure about that. Anyway... thanks for the comparison and reviews ! seems that you're a great guy.
Yepp, the Klipsch distorted the bass very nastily. The Stanmore had more control over and gave more structure to the bass. Upper frequencies on both were very good. Big advantage Stanmore: tone control! The fairest comparison would be to optimally set the devices according to their setting options! If one of them has no setting options, then this should not be the disadvantage for the device with setting options. In this case, flat against flat would simply be unfair against the better-equipped device! So the Stanmore II clearly beats the Klipsch.
Hello there from Italy, I like your videos. Could you make comparisons in real life situations, taking account of SPL and room surfaces? For example, I have got an Acton II and a Stanmore II, respectively 98 db and 101 db, 3 db of difference. In my 50 square meters (538 square feet) living room, the difference between the Acton II and the Stanmore II is dramatic. The Acton II clearly can't cope ( that's why I bought the Stanmore) whereas the Stanmore II fills the room with ease and sounds like a much bigger speaker, provided that you do not place it more than 45 cm from the wall at the back, otherwise it gets muddy. Now the Acton III is 95 db, 3 db down compared to the Acton II, and the Stanmore III is 98 db, 3 db down compared to the Stanmore II. The Woburn III is 101 db, a solid 9 db down compared to the Woburn II. Is the difference in SPL between the II series and III series evident in real life situations, in a fairly big room? In one of your next videos, could you compare different speakers taking account of SPL and volumes? Thanks and good bye
Thank you so much for this review! Ill be ordering the Klipsch The Three ii and let you know what I think! (Coming from an Acton ii which i returned due to a lack of bass)
Glad to see that you're doing more videos Danny! The reason why I got a Marshall Emberton compared to other speakers was cause of your videos. The "review" and the "vs everything" video really helped me figure out what speaker I wanted. And when I got I couldn't have been happier with it. Only problem I had with it was that after a while playing it really loud, some parts of the speaker seemed to die, something to do with the bass I guess. Still works fine tho, just an occasional crackle. Guess that just means I need a bigger and louder speaker at some point 👀 lol. So thank ya Danny, still pretty happy with it 😄
Omg thanks for the update and the feedback!! Must have knocked a piece of it loose playing it loud or something! I haven't broken mine yet but hopefully it was a fluke. I really believe it's one of the best speakers out there. Thanks for being a fan here too!
It was hard to choose they were very close and mainly just had a different sound. Klipsch was a little higher in the mids but stanmore II was nicer in the warm bass notes.
Klispch won that one I feel, much better clarity while keeping the base
Klipsch wins this for me, but only by a hair. I like that extra little presence and clarity.
Thanks for posting this. I pulled the trigger on the Klipsch for my basement remote work / woodshop. Now can’t wait for it to arrive lol.
Niiice, its going to be a delight in your shop
