Driving a ProMod for the 1st Time!! - RVW BumbleBee

- One of my biggest goals - driving wise - was to drive a Pro Mod at some point. I even publicly stated this goal last year and felt dumb for saying it afterwards because the goal felt SO far away. But, earlier this year Patrick Miller of BumbleBee Racing made the offer to let me drive their turbo promod Bumblebee Camaro and what an incredible opportunity it was! Check out the video to watch me learn to drive something totally new to me. A HUGE thank you goes to the Miller Family for trusting me to pilot their car and to Patrick Miller and Alex Skrzypek for keeping the car going all weekend and being patient with my learning. There will be more Bee videos coming up in the near future!

I’m not happy, don’t have anything fast, and definitely am not pretty. She’s got it going on. She’s making waves as an influencer. Definitely has no reason to be down.
When you own the car folks, you drive it like you own it, when hired to drive, you are just a rented shoe, so you treat it the same way knowing in advance that the owner expects you to drive the wheels off of it (that is the life of a contract driver), but, when you are invited to test in a real event with minimal practice, you feel differently, you are debuting in a twice as fast car, do not know what to expect, she loosened up a bunch once she saw the destruction of the engine on the blower car and started driving like she had a contract instead of an invite.
Sat in her position once for 3 passes in an Alcoihol dragster, an invite, knowing if you wreck it and you cannot pay for it, no fun, or shall I say worrisome slightly reduced fun, till the speed spreads the big arsed smile across your face and you make it Ato B without issues, memories last forever, even if you don't get a second chance again.
But, she will!

What an adventure!!!!! Your Dad was so out of place in another garage. I can see he is planning on his future projects. One of the nicest things in this world is to sit in a machine that someone else tuned to perfection! We do this in teaching kids to shoot, by letting them fire a competition benchrest rifle. When kids know that one hole at 100 yards is possible, they don't set short limits on themselves. Same goes for racing!
I like to let kids at the range shoot my rail gun. They see that blue anodized monster and they can't believe it is a rifle. Then they burn a tiny hole like you said hooked from then on!
@@woolymansmachining6016 That is exactly what I do, but I didn't know anyone on RUclips would know what a rail gun is. Most people freak out at the thought of a 20 pound boat anchor!
The calmness of the owner repairing his race cars almost a full tear down is amazing. The amount of money invested is insane.

I believe what they're talking about is sidewall ladies and gentlemen the flex in the sidewall can cause your tire to move around alot.

I don't get why they are using a toggle switch on the trans instead of putting a momentary button on the steering wheel and allowing you to keep both hands on the wheel.. it'd work the same way. Basically that's just a sequential dogbox with a torque converter instead of a clutch.
Nice light, A to B, and lightened up the car mid pass, lucky they collected that for the scaling...lol. plan is working! Living the good life.

I remember my first national event and how many butterflies I had. You did an amazing job of handling the bumblebee car I'm sure you will have that thing flying before you know it I am soo excited for you young lady keep up the great work that you and your pops are doing and you'll continue to go places

Not gonna lie I was a little upset when the video switched over to everyone talking in the car as soon as the blower car fired up but then I got to see it go down the track 😂 great job tho girl you did great. Maybe next time you can drive the other car!! Little question was the broken valve spread from an over rev or what would cause that?
I would love to see you and your dad build a radial racing car and I'm not saying like the Badmaro where it's a street car on radials or a Drag and Drive car that is on radials but a race car that is specifically built for radial racing and get into radial racing all the time and then maybe work your way up from there and get into the NHRA and get into either Pro Stock or Pro Mod racing
Have missed checking in with you and DT. An amazing opportunity to go fast and keep learning. Every pass makes you a better driver and you gotta believe that your Dad is always learning, too.

Love the energy can feel the adrenaline buzz, Denis is a champ what a great experience for daughter and father! Also those guys at bumble bee racing are some layer back guys casually grinding the cam and polishing it lol so glad they let you race. Been working on getting the 1/24 scale rollcage chassis 3D printed .and i just moved last year i have the 55 started front clip is cut up to make the flipnose.all my started builds are packed up with the 55 chevy

I’ve only ridden in a big (bias slick) tire car once (a mid 9 second door car) and can attest to how different it feels. The back end of the car really does move around a lot which would take some getting used to.
I think it's hilarious how they have a million dollars tied up between both cars but the tow rigs are barely 100k and the one car is even being pulled on an open trailer but hey that's what it takes sometimes to run up front of the class that you are in and to be able to win races and I have seen alot of people when it comes to any type or style of racing have similar setups as far the tow rigs and race car's because you want to run up front and win races and you put any money that the car wins back into the car and there isn't always a budget for a million dollar car and a million dollar tow rig as long as you can have room for the car and tools and maybe spare parts then that is all you need

Nice progressions, and reverse is tough, gets easier. Turbo is easier than blown for sure.
Please adopt me so I have to sit through this painstaking event of seeing if the seat fits or warming up the car and whatnot laugh out loud
