He is absolutely pissed at GH. See at the beginning how he rushes to adjust the mic stand and misses out on the guitar intro. See him cast a cold glance at GH who he may think has tampered with his mic stand. Just sayin'.
This is the original audio, not the other versions you find out there. The mistake by the forever missed Tom Petty, Dylan's raspy voice, Neil Young's high pitched choruses, and the huge welcome for the immense George Harrison. Thanks for uploading!
WE SHALL NEVER FORGET THIS VERSION. It's been missed on the internet for a while. In my opinion it is MUCH better than the edited one. Neil young singing and laughing alone at the last verse is the pure essence of Rock n' Roll
@@snipa1337 Also don't forget Bob himself totally unable to remember one single line and just mumbling his part. Neil in the end laughing his ass off when everybody forgot to come back for the last chorus is priceless.
This is real. Live music’s excellence is in it’s honesty, flaws, creativity ~ that stuff. When I go to a concert I’m feeling the experience, not expecting it to sound as precise as a recording studio performance.
This is the best version. Warts and all. The other versions are tidied up, but this is fantastic. Thanks for uploading. The biggest superband we will ever see. Cheers.

I'm happy to hear this raw version. They were only human after all! The widely seen official release is so cleaned-up, edited, and overdubbed that it made them superhuman live! I used to think "How can they play live so well?!"
These guys were all drunk, high, sleep deprived, or all of the above. A band giving a shitty performance shouldn’t be lauded. Reminds me of the disastrous Black Eyed Peas super bowl half time show.
These guys didn't grow up with "Tuner Apps" on their phones. Hell, we used a pitch fork my brother picked up. Neil was basically "tune once and play all night". And nobody noticed.
About time for someone to being this up. Indeed, the performance was quite a mess. Singers miss their cue, the harmonies in the refrain are off, everybody except Neil totally forget to get back for the last chorus and, most hilariously, Bob himself cannot remember one line and just mutters his part. As good as the official release is with the overdubbed corrected vocals, nothing beats the true performance.
@@jamesfisher5233 did you actually read my full comment? I was in fact defending the live performance and its quirks. My true complain was that they didn't need to overdub the song in the studio and release it as a "live" performance. So YOU get a grip... or learn to read.
@@VeggiePopper For Clapton's solo, they don't sing the chorus as well. But maybe they all planned to join in on the last chorus after Young's solo, and forgot. Or Young decided on a whim to sing the last chrous.
@@vc23If you pay close attention, you'll notice that the first few lines from the verse he sings are missing (compare this video against the official release). Either his mike was off, or he missed his cue. In addition to Tom, Bob himself also mumbles some of his lines and, once again, the released version features a completely different vocal. This means that official release of this performance (the one you'll find on Dylan's official YT channel, the CD and DVD/Blu-ray, and of course, streaming plataforms) was cleaned up, with overdubbed vocals by Tom Petty and Bob Dylan to fix their messed up verses, and also better harmonized choruses were added.
Nice song! I didn't know those giants played a show together. But on a different note I was so bummed I wasn't able to watch Eric Clapton when he played in Singapore. I think he came from Japan before playing in SG. Are you a fan of him?
This song is so great I don't have words to co moment and the musi cans the greatest what a songwriter Bob Dylan is. It takes me back to a time in a better world.
Awesome!! To hear the original concert mix live the way it originally was. When the official cd/cassette was released in fall 93, I was disappointed with the mix. Then the remaster version still wasn't good but trying to be satisfied.
They only played one show. Also, Eric, Neil, and George's vocals (plus both solos) do sound identical as in the released version; meaning the official release is Indeed this one performance, but cleaned up with studio overdubs.
He did work for Dylan, played lead guitar for Hall and Oats, was music director for SNL, as he was here. In another video of this performance, you can easily see him running around the stage making sure everyone comes in on time, including Dylan.
Haha, Indeed. That's why for the official release he re-recorded his part, with the side effect that on the official video, Bob's audio doesn't match his lips and it looks as if he was badly lipsynching. For the record, his verse is as follows: In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand At the mongrel dog who teach, Fearing not that I'd become my enemy In the instant that I preach. My existance's led by confusion boats: Mutiny from stern to bow.
Good that on this video that they didn't block Neil Young's image on his guitar solo. That's disrespectful. It probably was the idea from number one Neil Young's basher, George Harrison. George, when you actually can make a few good albums on your own and not just a couple of good songs, then you might be entitled to bash a god.
G.E Smith is a band leader. You need glue to hold together a diverse and eclectic group like this. Neil and Steve Cropper showing mutual respect and just loving the moment!
I guess George doesn't like the way Neil Young plays, too bad Georgie, complain to Eric, see if it changes anything but make you looks bad. This wasn't your show, it's Dylan's. Cry baby cry!
@@jamesfisher5233 He stated on a video years later when talking to an interviewer in studio, that he never liked Youngs playing and insinuated that on tjius night, It was a mis mash as well as rubbish. LOVELY SONG AND LYRICS ! SINGING A REAL MASTERPIECE!
LIVE FOREVER BOB DYLAN ❤

how damn great is clapton's solo? so crisp and melodic
But it should have been Mcguinn's Rickenbecker.
I love McQuinn's voice and guitar 🎸 😍
The best..!
An amazing performance great Star's
Claptons smooth solo, to perfection, Neil's non-technical, but very emotional and awesome as always.. perfect mix.. i love George's voice
EC's guitar music 🎸 is the best ever ❤
the music of Bob Dylan is great performed by those great stars!
On another movie I saw Mr Taburinman also great!
Nice quality video, many thanks, it as a pleasure listening to it
