Changes from previous videos thanks to community feedback. Cheers to all contributors! i. Wavedash Mixups ff+3 is only +1 on block, not +3. This means the opponent's jabs will be beaten by your jabs, but not standing 4 or df+1. Thanks to EnvyDesire for pointing this out. Information added on WS+3 S!ing airoborne opponents who try to step and hopkick. ii. Top Moves Clarified that 2,1 is a NC while the last 2 hits of 2,1,4 are NCc. d/b+4 to d/b+4 is vulnerable to any move faster than 17 frames, not 13 frames, as d/b+4 has a i20 startup. Thanks to onem1c for pointing this out. d/b+4 to d/b+4 also usually can't be SSR except by characters with better than average SS, such as Lili and Alisa. Some corrections made to the wording of df+1,4 and how to properly step df+1,4~4. Added information on the short range of u/f+2 and the risks of ducking with WS+2. iii. Situational Moves Some excellent feedback added from omgitsnewton: “- ch 4, f,f+4 is an option that doesn't do a lot of damage but isn't range dependent, and leads straight into oki (f+4~f tags quickrise and leads into a ZEN/crouch dash mixup and is at worse blocked = free f+4 block mixup, d+4 hits siderolls/people that lay down) - 1,2,3 and 1,2,4 can be fuzzied with a duckjab, but this can be beaten with a 1,2, lowparry/1,2, hopkick/similar. - In tekken 7 the second hit of b+2,1 has a bad habit of missing completely despite the b+2 hitting. I've completely taken out the move from my repertoire and use exclusively f+4 instead at that range - b+3 is i16, not i15. b+3~f however is i15. the transition can be made somewhat safe much like f+4~f. - CDS 1,2 is fairly hit confirmable on normal hit” As 22gopher22 noted, regular whf is now punishable at -10 now, so you won't be able to punch parry jabs after. CDS can also be done out of WS 1,2. Thanks to ElementalMagic for reminding me. Added sections on db+3, 4~3, 3+4 and 4~3. Information added on how to get more damage out of Jin’s UF+1+2 throw iv. Rage, Wall Game, Punishment and Combos U/F+2 added for wall splats Added Kuma specific combo in 3,1 / 1,3,2,1,4 Some useful advice for resplats from DamageXcaling: "To resplat consistently out of ff2 at the wall, you need to hit ff2 with tip of the range, the closer you are from the opponent the less likely you will be in optimal range to resplat them with d+3+4, so its kinda situational and it's an option you would go for mostly when you're coming to lock them at the wall.” Clarified that the 2nd b+3 needs to transition into CDS for Jin’s Bread & Butter combo, otherwise it will whiff. Okizeme ender for combos: Finish combo by dashing in and b, f, 2 3 to CDS / CD cancel. You do have to sacrifice quite a bit of damage for this, but a good way to keep momentum after a combo. Best to avoid the EWHF combos that end in db+2,2,3 unless you're on a walless stage. The best balance between ease of use, damage and wall carry is EWHF, ff, bf21, bf2, b3~f1, 2. Thanks to DamageXcaling for this. Some information on the $100 combo and microdashes added. CDS 3 / WS+3 are also Screw Moves. Thanks to Lovelain for pointing this out. General audio level fixes throughout.
That Blasted Salami Why five videos for jin but a single video for others? Is jin your favorite character or something? Please do Kazuya and Heihachi. Excellent content!
Dude THIS guide was instrumental in my decision to learn Jin as a newbie. This is an absolute INVALUABLE resource in my ongoing process of becoming a good tekken player. My god, such incredibly EXCELLENT production quality... BRAVO.
dude, SAME. I _kinda_ understood Jin from playing a bit of Tekken 4 (and being a karate guy myself several moves/concepts were familiar right off the bat), but wanted/needed to learn more. Found this dude and now use his bread-n-butter combo as my go-to. Now I'm coming back to learn yet more, like wall-combos and (can't believe I got to this level) the beginnings of frame data. only 1st or 2nd dan online, but approaching Tekken God tier in treasure battle. Will definitely be rewatching this video several times. ^_^
I have been playing Tekken actively since 1995 but only started learning how Tekken is actually being played during Tekken 7 because of tournament exposure and community/learning resources growing so much. It's the perfect time to play and learn Tekken. And lately more and more pro players have been giving out tips too. Just today Super Akouma started his in depth Akuma tutorials!
This is a really spectacular guide. It's like im watching a professional documentary. I like how structured your sentences are with precise information and the pace at which you speak at. The way you present your character guides actually keeps the viewer interested and is not all over the place like most youtubers who freestyle their character guides
Amazing breakdown and explanations. One of the best character guides I've ever seen, on par with TheMainMan. Just fantastic, especially for a lousy Jin main
Man this is huge, I just wrote everything down (helps me to remember things) and a look at the amount of info and it's insane, I thought why there is no Kazuya guide like this, but now after watching more vids and you saying it will take you about 3 years to cover the rest I understand why. Thanks for all the hard work
Omg he actually broke down everything and move u are the freaking man salami!! Ive played jin since tekken 3 even 4 when he "unlearned" the mishima style but im struggling in 7 so thank you for this! Jin might be the best on the tier if youve mastered him....
I rarely like videos but this one got immediately one after the first 15 minutes. More detailled than most guides especially the breakdown and opportunities in certain situations. Very well done. You clearly earned a sub.
It's like im in class or something and That Blasted Salami is your teacher. Learning about the character makes the game that much for fun because you get to implement what you learned about the guide through trial and error. It's a process but it's worth it once you play it consistently. I'm literally taking notes, 10/10 video.
Have been following this channel since the beginning. Was so thankful when this came out for my long time main, Jin. Watched it through day 1 and I'm still coming back to it now. That Blessed Salami.
This is probably the best, most in-depth Tekken character overview ever! as someone who's just started to learn Jin I couldn't be happier! Thanks for all the hard work!
Thank you very much! I recently picked up Jin after switching from Feng. Considering how honest he is in general, learning through online matches is it's own kind of struggle. I can do the 100$ combo all the time, ya guys should hire me to do it xD This is now my favorite video. Very well done and the corrections are very nicely implemented, we were in touch with one of the guys of you crew since vid 2 so we keep giving feeds and sharing content with them so he could present to you guys, thanks for letting us to be part of it, it was one hell of a ride, we Jin mains in the community are also kinda nerds to the character we mostly document everything we can find even the most unuseful info, so sorry guys if this is too much info.. Advice to anyone maining Jin: Jin its a combo of intermediarie to advanced as it says in the guide, down the line you will want to be familiarized with his advanced stuff since it makes him super reliable in a long run, want to suppress most of those weakness? a) Learn EWHF, try to use them from the most common reliable options. ik this vid is old and as someone whos been playing jin for a while i still come back to this video, this is probably the best jin guide on youtube, thanks
I watched 2 of your videos and subscribed. I haven't played Tekken 7 for a couple of years and I got the itch just by watching your videos. The quality is IMPECCABLE! Thank you so much!
This is probably the most comprehensive video ever for a character thank you so much for this. Now to try and get these EWGF consistent so I can actually do half what the video has taught me lol
i know this video is a few months only and there probably were changes in the game but i would just like to thank you for this breakdown i recently got into the game and know nothing about it and this really help me understand my character abit more :D
I play Jin primarily but I'm definitely gonna check out your other characters videos. I seriously have learnt so much from these videos and feel like I've improved much more. Thanks!
I watched this Jin guide when I was initiate rank. Now I'm Fujin and I still watch this guide even thou I dont play Jin anymore lol I love this channel
if anyone is looking for an easy executing egwf or any of the fndf moves of jin. go into stance by b,1 then do a half circle after that. you will wave dash with the open to do ewgf or his hell sweep. it's also a good mix 50/50. you faint with stance then run in for the launch.
Ive always wanted to be arsenalty wannabe and now I can! Thanks blasted samali! Seriously though this guide is a godsend, ive been trying to main jin since day 1 of tekken 7 and its been a struggle but this guide is getting me closer to becoming a better tekken player
It was awesome ! :) even tho I don't entend to play Jin, I've learn a lot throughout these videos on how Tekken works, and some hit that I have on my characters that are similar to Jin's. And of course the anti strat added in this episode. Thanks a lot as always ! and keep up the good work ! ♥
For those who say Jin is hard to learn...no, but you do need to understand his fighting style. He's a karate character. Understand how his moves are meant to be used in general, understand the mindset behind his style, and you can understand him more naturally. What I mean is, many of his moves, not all but many, are taken directly from real-life karate, and so can be used as one would irl, at least to a point. So if you know how/when to use a, say, right/"rear" front kick for real, you can apply that to his f+4. Thinking this way will help build a solid foundation for using Jin, or at least make him a crap-ton easier if you're still having trouble. This guide is superb for building on top of that. Now, you do NOT have to be trained in karate to use Jin, and in fact that will only take you so far; I'm just saying it does help. But if you want to start mastering Jin, this guide is the best. Kudos to @ThatBlastedSalami for this.
Excellent! I hope you will do the same with each character! No matter how long the time it would take to make, we need it!!! Especially the scrub player ones like me really need this! I main Steve btw and I had muscle memories every move but still messed up when using it.
55:12 with the season 3 update, we could go for CDS 1,3 as it has much better range that CDS 1,2 and has made his B&B combo a little bit more forgiving than it already is
It's really hard to find someone who puts the effort and quality into guides as you do, I really wish you could put time stamps in as I find myself jumping around and coming back to certain parts of your videos.
Awesome video, Jin is my main. Btw this is supposed to be Kyokushin Karate but I have never seen real practitioners of the art have electricity coming from their punches lol
Just joined the FGC and started to play Tekken. I can easily say this is the best and most high quality channel about Fighting game. Kudos to you! @BlastedSalami

I know its going to be a challenge, but learn it anyway, it will help you tons in a long run since it gives you a lot more freedom specially if you add movement to it, Jin needs to float like a butterly and sting like a bee:
1) sidesteps
2) Backdashes
3) Wavedashes
4) This is optional, if you have a stick, try to learn the microdash combos, they take time to learn but its going to be totally worth it in a long run 67 and 70 damage do make all the difference in the world, if not stick with his less problematic BnBs from EWHF.
About the EWHF (option, 1, 2 and 3)
The goal is to get one no matter how many times in a row you did a backdash, wavedash or sidesteps, these are super important.
This will nullify most of how you launch pressure and vary your strategies, you can design even your poking game around it to make it even more fearless, minimize most of the risks and force them to second guess either they should try to exploit your weakness to its fullest, his EWHF from these 3 options can mask most of his weakness and makes his neutral game even more dangerous, it becomes really hard to tell when to approach because EWHF and F4 combined build a huge wall in front of him and partially will cover each other weakness, the rest you can cover with 4 which is among the fastest homings in the game.
b) Along the run you will pick some other mishima strategies he can use, as delay CD4/CD1 from crouch dash, Devil Jin's Iws2 which will mostly beat players trying to duck CD4 with a sort of timing fuzzy guard as its also an i14 ws2 with its weakness being step-able, will punish those ducking fast to block the low then react to ff3 mid.
c) You will also pick pin resets, and other oki setups that work midscreen wall, added damage to lows with resets, and bunch more.

Even though we're on season 3, this video still helps a lot
Quality guide! Great job!
I watched this Jin guide when I was initiate rank. Now I'm Fujin and I still watch this guide even thou I dont play Jin anymore lol
I love this channel
This video deserves way more views!
if anyone is looking for an easy executing egwf or any of the fndf moves of jin. go into stance by b,1 then do a half circle after that. you will wave dash with the open to do ewgf or his hell sweep. it's also a good mix 50/50. you faint with stance then run in for the launch.
I am waiting for Bryan, Dragunov, Feng. I love your videos thx for sharing with us!
Amazing job, such a detail video :)
i cant imagine the time and effort making this whole series good job bro u earned a sub!

The best Jin Guide that I ever watch

Only 4 mins passed and I know this is going to be perfect!
What an amazing video, thank you so much!
Glad you liked it!
Your video taught me a lot bout Jin, that I didn’t know about. I appreciate it ty 🤓
Excellent!
I hope you will do the same with each character! No matter how long the time it would take to make, we need it!!! Especially the scrub player ones like me really need this! I main Steve btw and I had muscle memories every move but still messed up when using it.

That Blasted Salami That would be awesome! Definitely get a watch from me
55:12 with the season 3 update, we could go for CDS 1,3 as it has much better range that CDS 1,2 and has made his B&B combo a little bit more forgiving than it already is
I don't play Tekken 7, I never got a next gen console watching these breakdowns really give me an itch to play.

It's really hard to find someone who puts the effort and quality into guides as you do, I really wish you could put time stamps in as I find myself jumping around and coming back to certain parts of your videos.

The best video in my list. I watched it so many times and it's still helpfull.
Amazing video seriously
Awesome video, Jin is my main. Btw this is supposed to be Kyokushin Karate but I have never seen real practitioners of the art have electricity coming from their punches lol
Thanks man! I haven't seen many bears or robots in fighting tournaments either, but hey it's Tekken :)
"How many ads you want?"
"..yes"
Harada: "how many parrys you want?"
Leroy: "yes"
Jin: "Uh"
Man all these slomo really put their animation quality on a pedestal
It just shows how amazing Kyokushin techniques are
Mostly acceptable? Sometimes abhorrent?
@@esodn762 Kyokushin techniques are fantastic. As a shodan, im able to apply jin's combos in my training irl.
Thanks, he's my main.
