Cruise Ship Engine White Noise, NO video loop, sailing under Storbæltsbroen!

- A video I shot on a windy day from Kiel to Oslo while the ship is sailing under the Great Belt Bridge (Storbæltbroen in danish).
Due to windy condition I used the audio from my last ship video (same ship), and because of an awful dust spot I had to crop the video down to 720p.
This video is very screen burn-in-safe, and can be used to counter tinnitus, for studying or relaxing.
Video was recorded with Sony A7 (ILCE-7) on MS Color Magic on the way to Oslo, Norway.

I'm the type of guy that buys the cheapest tickets so I get a bedroom close to the engine. This is the best.

I like it when I can barely hear the engine sounds in the background while trying to sleep in my ship cabin, staying close to the engine might be too loud for my taste 🚢

You would not hear the engine THUMPING like this..... on a tug maybe, but not on a cruise
The sound is made louder i belive. Normally cruise ships suppress the engine noise but theres still a small sound from it.
Yes you do depending on where you are. I like to go closest to the engine room outside.
Best way to sleep. My first job was on a fish and crab processing ship and this is what I slept to every night.

Holy ship, it seems like you are right! I've always been told the ship is sailing under the Øresund Bridge, but looking at a map it makes no sense!

Can I ask what gear you used? I’m gonna try for the same aesthetic but I’m probably using cheaper gear (Canon Rebel T4i and Zoom H2N audio recorder) than you have. 😂
Hi, this video was recorded with Sony A7 (ILCE-7) which was released in 2013. I recorded the audio with Rode VideoMic Pro, audio was recorded on a place with some cover for the intense wind near the funnel.
Remember to use a sturdy tripod, and good luck 🛳

It's a very long time since I recorded this video, so I'm not sure about the distance to the center of source, but it was recorded outside not too far from the ship chimney and at a place I got shelter from the wind. I used the Rode VideoMic pro, not sure about the settings. I do remember I needed a few tries before I got a good audio sample.
Needs to get much louder for replay

every 6 or 7 seconds i can hear it loop.
That is most definitely not white noise..... This is engine noise.
Stupid comment, would you say fan noise and river noise are not white noise, they are fan and river noise? This is white sound and it puts me to sleep quickly.
In 2022, "white" anything is now frowned upon. A lot.
