The songs Roger Hodgson sings that are often referred to as Supertramp songs are songs that Roger wrote and composed alone - that is how he creates music. He will often hear the musical composition first, then the lyrics come. Sometimes he will hear the whole song complete inside himself before he puts it down on paper and recording.
Supertramp as a band never wrote and composed together, there were only two songwriters for the band. The songs Roger sings lead vocals on are the ones he composed the music and lyrics for, and the songs Rick sings lead vocals on are the ones that he wrote.

I'm 61 and had my first taste of Supertramp back in the mid 1970's. Today, their music is even more mesmerizing and beautiful. Just fantastic.✌
I vividly recall the moment when this song debuted-it was a formative time for me at just 15 years old. Witnessing Supertramp perform live in '79 was an unparalleled experience; their stage presence was among the finest I've ever encountered, reminiscent of the awe-inspiring performance by Wings Over America in '76. "The music that you gave me" resonates deeply within my soul, shaping my lifelong connection to music. Roger, I sincerely hope this message finds you in good health and happiness. I drove 6 hours from Ohio to take in both of Roger's shows he performed in Pennsylvania in July (2018). One outdoor and one indoor. Both were amazing. Sound quality is fantastic in person and Roger's voice is still awesome. Roger's music with Supertramp first impacted my life when I was 11 years old in 1979. The Logical Song & Take the Long Way Home made me a fan for life. I never in my lifetime imagined being able to hear Roger sing all my favorites in person. When I saw he was coming to Pennsylvania I bought tickets to both shows and planned my trip immediately. The 6 hour drive from where I live felt like a drive around the block because I couldn't wait to see him. It took 39 years Roger, but you were worth the wait. I do hope I can see you live again. The heartfelt sincerity in your words to the crowd as well as your performance will never be forgotten. My voice is lousy these days at 50 years old, but I still sang along as if I was that 11 year old boy sitting in my bedroom listening to my 45 record of THE LOGICAL SONG. If I had one request of you Roger I would ask that you add the song CRAZY from the Famous Last Words album to your playlist. The opening line of that song is perfect for the opening to a concert. "Here's a little song to make your feel good. Put a little light in your day." Your music certainly does that for me Roger. Thank you for all the great songs and memories. They are timeless and precious. I sure hope to see you again soon...God Bless and safe travels.....

This version of Even in the Quietest Moments is a novelty, completely different from how #RogerHodgson has been playing it over these years live. Until then he always played it intimately, with only his twelve-string guitar.
Its beauty increases because in this occasion they are incorporated as it sounds in the studio album that gives title to it,
with the keyboards, bass, percussion and chorus of the Roger Band.
For me it acquires a special importance when incorporating all these new elements, because they give it a much greater live intensity,
Hopefully we can hear it at the next concerts that Roger will give us in Spain in a couple of weeks.
