    That's a good fold with the 10's.
    Feels like that's a spot lots of people call on the river.

      Isn't having two tens good though? Blocking T9o? We block some bluffs but we're only really concerned about straights and a few combos of full houses.... I feel like a call here would've been pretty reasonable.

      @@mrx7181 I think folding here on, say, JJ876 is much harder than on AA876. It's just too easy for a guy who balances his range as much as Addamo to have trips on this exact texture, while also being pretty hard for him to have complete air. Next to impossible to discount any Ax combos from Addamo's preflop range based on the way he played the hand.

    • @mrx7181
      @mrx7181 3 года назад

      @@Uncle_Troy I agree with you when it comes to addamo's preflop range containing a very good amount of trips but I think the way he played the hand means he is repping A8, 95, T9, 95, 68 and 87 specifically when he leads the turn because if he has like A2s or A4o he'll just continue to check to the button on the turn and the hands that got counterfeit can easily use the overbet sizing on the river to put hands like pocket tens in a difficult spot so that is probably considered the air portion of his range when he jams the river. In the end I mostly agree with your main point about the ace ace x texture making this more of a fold, as on JJ876 we block a few more value combos and it is much harder for the BB to have trips in general assuming the hand plays the same way because hands like JT are supposed to check raise a lot on J76 flops on these stacks whereas you won't see it as much on these unfavorable ace high boards because the strongest portion of the BB's range is missing while the button still holds all the strongest hands.

      I feel like TT is practically the ideal bluff catcher there. His range is so packed with counterfeit two pairs and straights, and TT double blocks the nut straight

    In my opinion that last hand was a punt 18 BB shove with K6o

    • @Uncle_Troy
      @Uncle_Troy 3 года назад

      Standard heads-up play. ICM is basically out of the window once you get to heads-up play, and the only simple way to make a profitable play with K6o on the button is to go all-in with less than 20 blinds. Those thin edges they get in theory from shoving these hands do equate to a lot of equity, so a good HU player will know this shove has to be made here.

    • @grindix
      @grindix 3 года назад +1

      All the shoving and calling ranges seem to be drastically wider with the BB ante. Badziakouski called an almost 20bb shove with J9 suited in the previous event; his opponent just had A6o. Jamming larger bb amount might also be becoming the norm with davies jamming 40bb with AQ!

      Chyea Dude there s just more money in the pot to attack and defend (when calling). U have 2bb out there when getting jammed on in the bb.
      Not sure about the 40bb jam with AQ; Seems you’ll always be crushed when called and its extremely unlikely he does it with premiums.

    • @grindix
      @grindix 3 года назад

      Chyea Dude and yes for sure in a way if the bb ante stipulates wider calling ranges at equilibrium you r getting exploited if you dont call j9 suited or kjo.
