    The technicality of these musicians is simply on another level, and it's a requirement to give justice to a beautifully put together track like Dawn. They will get much bigger, and this track will be looked back on for what it is.. a masterpiece.

    I'm a 70 year old life time guitar aficionado, all genres of music. Since the early 1960s, I've listened to countless great guitarists, bassists, drummers, playing rock n' roll, C+W, blues, blues/rock, jazz, classical and gospel. I'm not into metal, but do respect the skill of the musicians who play that form of music. I first heard Asterism from a Japanese guitar music channel video(so many of my favorite, awesome musicians today are Japanese!), in April of 2019. Because the members are so young, I didn't expect too much at first glance. Then, I started watching, listening, closely. The more I listened, watched, the more I realized these young people are truly special.
    Since then, I've read up on Asterism, watched as many of their videos as I can find, read their Face Book account, listened to several interviews with these amazing young musicians. They're loyal to their families, serious students in their academics, don't use drugs or substances, work out, keep fit, healthy, as well as practice diligently, together. They care about each other, don't have the ego issues like so many famous rock bands (e.g., Beatles, Cream, etc.), and are passionate in their commitment to excellence. Their proficiency is truly amazing. Their creativity is just beginning, but obvious in their own compositions.
    In less than two months, I've developed great respect, admiration for Asterism, their remarkable musical talent, skill, as well as who they are as people. They're worthy of total support from music fans, world wide. To me, they have no musical limits. They can play anything they commit to. I wish them total success, in their music, careers and lives.
    As a Texas farmer, cowboy, I never thought a teen aged Japanese band would ever impress like Asterism. Mio is an awesome drummer, reminding me of the late Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham, as well as Cream legend, Ginger Baker. Similarly, Miyu is reminiscent of great bassists like Leo Lyons from Ten Years After, and Jack Bruce with Cream. Haruka Noma (aka, Hal-Ca) is the most fluid, proficient lead guitarist I've ever heard for her age. Even at age 16 she easily covered Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Scuttle Buttin'", as well as the most challenging metal and hard rock solos. I'm sure she could excel in blues and jazz if she chooses to broaden her musical interests. In short, she's amazing, one of the best I've ever heard. This may sound like sacrilege, but I actually think Haruka sounds better right now than Jimmy Page with Led Zeppelin, and could match Jimi Hendrix lick for lick, on any of his most famous guitar solos. Haruka reminds me a lot of the late Alvin Lee in his early recordings with Ten Years After, and the late Irish master, Gary Moore.
    I've dated myself, I know, but I'm comparing Asterism to some of my favorite bands of all time. In short, Asterism is amazing! I'm their loyal fan for life. Blessings from Texas.

    It is truly amazing that this "Dawn" was composed, arranged it as one song, and was able to perform it by a junior high school students of Japan who were only 14 or 15 years old.
    Everyone notices that they have advanced playing skills at a young age, but what really should be appreciated the most is that they have acquired compositional skills, including the ability to arrange music, at this age. Moreover, the range of emotional expression and the wide descriptive power of the composition give the impression of a genius inspiration. It's amazing that not only HAL-CA, but all three of them have the ability to compose in three different ways, and they can arranging and playing songs at the age of only teenagers.
    The variety of songs they compose is wide-ranging, and to us it is as diverse as if we were looking at the 70-year history of Western music. It covers all elements of the UK, US, European and Japan music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and is integrated and played with the sensibilities of today's teenagers.
    How could they have done this in such a short period of time?
    Perhaps it all started when the three of them grew up in an environment where their parents liked Western music and listened to songs at home as a hobby, and their parents gave them to small children to try out musical instruments.
    The period when they learned the instrument was probably linked to the brain growth process in the growth period from child to adult. I guess the adults around them were stunned, because they absorbed and grew at an incredible rate.
    However, it will be unclear whether their songwriting ability came out with because they were growing children, or whether they originally had genius songwriting ability, unless we look at them in the future.

    Unfortunately, the current Japan music industry does not have an environment that genius talents like them into stars. The general public doesn't like to listen to this kind of music.
    If we leave them in Japan like this environment, their talent will only be crushed in minor scenes without ever seeing the light of day in the major scenes.
    I think "Amuse" is out of hand. They should leave early.
    They should move quickly to their native field, the Western music market, to meet producers and capitalists who find and interest their talent and abilities. The current Japan music industry will not be able to take advantage of their abilities

    • @Dan-mc7xg
      @Dan-mc7xg Год назад +2

      I think the whole Japan music industry is beginning to make their waves in the West (and it's gonna lead to a tsunami) . Been a LONG time coming, but it's coming!
      Credit where credit is due, Baby Metal opened our collective eyes, but now we've got bands like Band-Maid and Nemophila who have years of experience, immeasurable talent, and just downright showmanship... their time has come! Part of it is what you eluded to... they are pushing into the Western music scene. I can't believe I missed Asterism in the 2019 US tour, but I won't miss them the next time. And if you can still grab a ticket to the Band-Maid shows this October, do it; i got mine! (& I just saw Nemophila, in July)
      If I am wrong, and if Asterism/Hal-Ca doesn't ever receive the praise and respect they deserve, it WILL be a sad day for music. But for me, I know I will follow them from here on out. I've never seen anyone play like Hal-Ca, or should I say I've never seen one person play like Hal-Ca. She seems to be able to channel all of the greatest guitarists, and then folds them into her own. If Dawn is just the beginning... oh my lord what's to come!

      The feeling and emotion in the last minute of this song, is a feat that some musicians never achieve. Where she gets it from, I have no idea, but it's as true as the sky is blue!

    • @brianchar-bow3273
      @brianchar-bow3273 Год назад +1

      For the past 60 years, the Western music industry has ignored Japanese musicians as if they did not exist.
      For a long time, we have been deprived of the existence of Japanese popular music and its many talents in various genres because the Western music industry has not signed many Japanese musicians to sales contracts in the Western music market and has not supplied the world market with their music.
      It was only with the advent of the Internet ,RUclips that the invisible racially prejudiced walls of the Western music industry were broken down and the music of the past began to circulate around the world.
      It was only then that much of the world became aware of the existence of many Japanese past popular music.
      The Japanese popular scene in various genres were as active in Japan as in the West, with a history of over 60 years, almost the same length as that of the West,
      but Japanese musicians, no matter how talented they were, were only given the opportunity to sign release contracts limited to domestic only in Japan.
      So people of all over the world could not even know about the existence of the Japanese Rock music and musicians for a long time because they were buried only in Japanese market because of this walls of the Western music industry.
      I think the reality of that situation is that it is even more difficult for musicians in Japan today than it used to be,
      as the music industry is going through a global slowdown.

She said her parents allow her to practice on her own, at home, but not after 8 pm. I was impressed by her respect for her parents and school teachers, her sincerity and humility. She's more than a brilliant guitarist. She's an amazing young woman, also. When Asterism was in Texas, March 2019, I did not know who they were. Otherwise, I would have driven to see them play in Dallas and Austin. While in Austin, the band played "Scuttle Buttin'" in tribute to the late legendary Texas blues/rock guitarist, SRV. Haruka played this difficult tune with ease, as well or better than Stevie did. I hope she and the band continue to branch into the Blues/Rock genre, even into jazz, to broaden their musical capabilities and audience. Regardless of what they play, I'm their fan for life!
