I just curious as to the reason cause I thought it was two different people.
M-chan means manager-chan. A-chan is A-chan's character name (& the name Sora used for her, when she talked about A-chan on streams*, referring to her like Bae uses "friend A", etc., when Bae mentions her IRL friends).
I'm not entirely clear on Cover's corporate structure, but it seems A-chan is one of Hololive's higher ups, now, not a normal manager; though, she started as Sora's manager, & was her IRL friend, before they basically founded Hololive, with Cover.
This stream wasn't between Kaela & M-chan. It was between Kaela &, technically, I think, one of her bosses, whose public-facing name is A-chan. M-chan is a different person.
M-chan & A-chan are ways to not use staff people's real names, so people can't just look up who works for Hololive. A-chan just became famous, & one of the faces of Hololive's corporate staff, & ultimately got her own model, probably because she's popular with the fans.
*I have anime that just names, usually background, characters stuff like Ako, Bko, Eiko, etc., meaning girl A, girl B, girl E, etc., instead of actually coming up with names for everyone unimportant who gets a line. Chan is a honorific in Japanese, typically affixed to friends' names. So, "friend A" in Japanese can just be "A-chan". That's all it was, when Sora told a story about her manager/ friend. Now, it's her character name, like Kaela is Kaela's. And M-chan, EnMa, & JEnMa are names for managers. [(J)EnMa = Japanese/ English Manager, referencing Kiara's particular manager knowing both English & Japanese].
@@remus_lupin First of want to apologize for taking so long to reply I never got a notification about. Secondly really appreciate you taking the time out to explain it to me in detail. I was really confused about it cause I thought it was the same person. Seriously though thank you for explaining it to me and taking the time out of your day for it. I thought they might have been the same since they both use the same model (I am more then likely wrong on this) just alittle confusing on my part.
Does M-chan even have a model? A-chan & Nodoka are the only staffers I'm aware of having models. It's very rare one of the girls streams with a manager. I know Kiara has, but I think those have been off-collabs. Fans have made designs, to fill in for some of the managers in clips, but those aren't official.
I don't watch Kaela much. Mostly just collabs or projects she does for/ with EN. Kaela streams too much, on her own, & there's already too much EN content, so I have to pick & choose what streams I watch.

@@remus_lupin Maybe not a model but the icon they use looks the same. Which I could be wrong I don't normally keep up with other members but one time JP members and EN members did a minecraft collab and I believe it was with M-chan. Atleast the characters they use look similar but there are so many instances it's not easy to point out. I could just be very mistaken because they normally swap M-chan and A-chan out alot from my view so just unsure on my end. I believe it's M-chan who runs the main channels and she has a 2D/3D model.
A-chan runs the main channels. A-chan has a model. M-chan is just either Kaela's manager or one of ID's managers.
I know A-chan was given a tour. I don't think M-chan got one. If you see A-chan, it's A-chan. If a manager joins a stream, it'd be on their talent's channel, not someone else's, & very clear. Well, unless there's a manager group stream (people want that to happen), but that's unlikely.
The managers are actual talent managers, like Hollywood actors have. They help the girls with behind the scenes stuff, like keeping track of projects (probably communication for projects, as well), scheduling, rules, & other stuff. It is rare the girls' managers are ever seen, only talked about. Kiara is a rare exception, because she's gotten very close to Jenma. And even with Jenma, she has not appeared on stream often. We've seen, for example, Calli's family more.
M-chan & A-chan are treated like names. They are different & represent different people, but in different ways. A-chan is one specific person, however, it isn't clear how many managers there are. Early on, with EN, it seemed like they shared 2 managers (Enma & Jenma), but more have probably been hired, & it's likely most, if not everyone, at least in EN, has their own, now. Especially with how many projects Calli & Bae, each, have going at any given moment (at one point, I think I counted 7 or 8, for each of them, in different stages of development simultaneously). I doubt one manager could keep track of even just those 2's projects, alone, smoothly. I wouldn't be surprised if Calli has 2 managers, now: one for Hololive, one for her music label (to be clear, I'm not saying she does, but she probably has enough songs & Hololive projects in the works, one single manager might get overwhelmed).
Assuming Kaela has her own, dedicated manager, I'm not even sure if it's the same person (I do recall Kaela talking about getting a different manager, at one point). It's possible for a manager to get replaced or moved around, & we never find out. If their managers ever get replaced, it's likely they'll still call the new one by the old one's designation. Most managers are given group identification representing managers, in general (EnMa just means English Manager, but could represent any of several people, who manage them; & M-chan literally is just manager-chan, but M-chan sounds more like a cute name). As far as I'm aware, with EN, only Jenma refers to a specific person/ manager.
