I hear you about taking out the batteries of any stored electronics. I had a battery leak in one of my cameras, luckily the replacement was easy, but had not checked them the battery leak could have ruined the circuit boards underneath. Another good tip for cameras (still or video) is to take a picture with your Name and contact information before going out with them. If you loose it people might be able to recover the memory card and seeing that picture makes finding the proper owner easy. Keep up the good work Michael, your positivity, care, and tenacity are inspirational!
Thanks Beston👍 I’ve had a few people ask me why my gear seems to last so long, to be honest I don’t skip on the maintenance, after every dive i soak all my gear in fresh water over night. Then leave to dry in the shade away from UV Sun exposure👍👍 battery leaks as you know can destroy our gear, it’s always best to simply remove them👍👍 that’s AWESOME advice I will do that take a photo of details as I’ve lost cameras in the past and never got them back unfortunately.

You continue to be an inspiration to so many. I do my best when leaving someplace to leave it better than I found it, even if that means a handful of litter/broken glass/etc. is picked up and put in its proper place. I especially look for broken glass because I worry about animal feet getting cut and injured. I have a personal interest in all animals because the love they have given me has saved me more times than I could ever save them. I have rescued and fostered cats and dogs from abandoned houses, the highway, etc and also volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center and the creatures I have worked with with have given me more love and touched my heart more than any one person could could or will.

Thanks Christine👍 too right, just a few bits of trash picked up by each of us will make a world of difference❤ I cut my foot right open helping to recover 5,000 stolen golf clubs dumped in the pond just the other day, we have been diving for these clubs for a few weeks now, without them the golf club lose customers and can’t keep their employees on, it’s almost Christmas so the pressure is on to get the clubs back and keep their employees jobs👍👍 we have a lot in common I was a volunteer worker for many years working with Variety of wildlife mainly reptiles❤

Thanks Sophia👍 Depression it’s a dark place to be in as I had to relive my childhood in court about domestic family violence my mother sister and I lived through for 30 years. This brought back memories I buried deep down. now fresh in my head again, put me in a dark place. The good news is we are free of this person now and moving on with our lives, one day at a time. You guys support have kept my mind off this mostly as we continue to work hard on new projects to help more people at ljrworldwide.com and now new plans to perform bigger river trash cleanups and take our supporters with us for a day of fun on the water💦👍 see you on the next hunt💍👍

You've been a real inspiration. I've been finding bigger and better things underwater while snorkeling, up to one of those new iPhone 14 Pro's in a waterproof case. It was working but locked so I couldn't open it up and try to find the owner. Left it with the lifeguards.

I have been absent for a long while but nice to be back and see you thriving! Good warning about the batteries - I knew I wouldn't be detecting for a while so removed all batteries from my two detectors and pin pointer, or so I thought. Turns out, I didn't take them out of my X-Terra. Two years later, the detector is toast. I tried to clean the terminals with vinegar but no luck. So yeah, always remove the batteries and double check to make sure you did!! (OH and I had just given my Garett detector away and so now I have NO detector.)
Give an extra wave to big blue out there for us the dog and I we watch your videos all the time I love seeing the fish and the kids

Thanks Wayne👍 no I’ve never had an issue with the knobs however the battery can get hairline fractures pretty easy, just from small knocks. I’ve had 3 battery leaks. Grab a guard from Anderson shafts that will protect your knobs👍👍 see you on the next hunt mate💍👍
