    Thank you for the video!
I hope you enjoy watching it.
    My P10 2.0Tm MT.
I started driving it in 1992.
It's been 370,000km since I started, and I still use it to commute every day in Japan!
    Run, turn, stop.
    Its straightness feels good.
    Multi-link suspension.
    Toughness of SR20DE.
    Exhaust sound from the muffler.
You'll never get bored with it.
    Excellent design, by Mr. Maezawa.
    It’s a style called "temporal durability" .
I am in love with the quality of the engine!
I will continue to use it carefully.
    I will keep going!

That's great! Thank you for watching the video. It is really nice to hear from someone in Japan who has a P10. The SR20 is a great engine. "Temporal Durability", I did not know about that.

Wow, that is a lovely piece of automotive history right there. Grew up seeing cars like this and now I love them. Those were the days where you'd get lovely cloth seats whereas now everything is leather and you have no option! Hate leather. I bought a brand new P10 eGT 150hp in 1990, when they just came out. It was a wonderful car to drive, going strong and hitting 138mph without any problems. Actually I think it could handle 100hp more to be honest as the chassis was quite stiff and suspension well thought out. Well, I did upgrade the wheels to a bigger rim and larger tires and lower the springs. This was in Belgium and I’d cross the border and go to the autobahn to fully enjoy it. Great memories…

I really miss my '92 P10 Primera eGT Saloon. More than I miss my E30. It was the first car I paid for and at £600 for a car that could hit 138mph it was pretty great. Lovely high revving red top SR20DE motor circa 150ps and superb handling for a car that looked like a taxi.

@@JJonCars yeah I mean it had done 140k when I bought it, and it was 14 years old, but still, great for the money! Cost me double to insure it at that time...
Now I have a Mondeo I bought for £5k, 5 years ago, also proving great value for money but, while faster (it's the 2.5T Titanium X Sport) and still engaging enough to drive, you can feel the difference in weight - over 200kg difference...
The Primera just felt more agile and the closest I got in more modern relatively practical cars is the gen 1 BK Mazda 3 2.0 Sport Saloon. Same horsepower, revvy chain driven engine etc. It wasn't perfect but it got me through a 3000 mile road trip. It was also more reliable than the Mondeo is!

Bought the car after reading a recommendation in the Daily Mirror motoring section on best deals for second hand cars, had the car 5 years it was solid inside and out. Great video! I can't believe I gave a Nissan video a thumb up, I grew up in a small town where the only car dealer was a Nissan showroom, and hence the streets were filled with various, less-flattering variations of Nissans. Also, a lot of folks from local steel mill traded their old Ladas into Micras back then, thus the brand got a bit of bad image in my mind. Driving a few of Nissans of that time didn't improve my impression either, LOL! Ironically, I now drive a T31 X-Trail. However, I like seeing these throwback videos, with the car media nowadays focusing FAR too much on electrification of the powertrain and fancy apps via massive touchscreen. If you ever get to test a Mk8 Mitsubishi Galant for example, I'd definitely watch it! ;-)

Not very sharp steering, have a feeling maybe something is wrong with it. Had 2 P10's back in the day, one was a 1.6 1992 fitted with a carb and it wasn't fast, but the steering and handling were really good. The car was way better than the Mondeo, Vectra, Avensis or whatever back then. Because of the handling. The other one I owned was a 2.0 eGT 1995 hatch in white. Paid 3.5K for it at 5.5 years old with about 50K on the clock. Just a fantastic car, the handling was pin-sharp. Tried the later P11 GT, just not as good, soft compared to the P10, then again think it had beam rear suspension unlike the P10's independant. Haven't a clue in this day and age what I could get for as much fun for that price (including inflation), doesn't exist, maybe an MX5. Modern cars bore the sh1t out of me. 90's Nissan's were superb, also had a 200SX S14a, loved that. Had a K11 1.0 Micra as a second car, paid £2050 for it, had it 8 years and only a fuel pump went on it. Had 130K miles when sold it to my sister-in-law for £250, was costing money to get welded every MOT, but the mechanics of it were A1. Best car I've owned the K11, cars are just not as good anymore for cheap motoring. Really miss the P10 too. The Almera GTI was great fun too.

      @JJonCars  Год назад +1

Ah yes, perhaps you are right. It did seem especially woolly - it still handled well though despite the steering. Agreed that 90's Nissans were superb (and 80's too, though not so much in the handling department). I drove a P11 for a while and it was excellent, the skinny tyres meant you could hit the limit of traction quite easily but it still felt great in the corners.

@@letitflow6486 in family we have the all new 2022 Qashqai, it's soo good, great quality interior, doesn't seem a Renault. I think that Nissan is back since 2020. They improve a lot quality. I'm agree about the Micra, it's the "oldest" model sold in europe. It's just an alliance, not all Nissans are just Renault in every single thing

You reckon? I think they've gone through a lot of changes over time. Modern Nissans are unrecognisable compared with the older stuff. They used to have a 'boring but dependable' image. Not sure what their image is now, tbh
