+1 Subscriber m8! i got a SYM Euro Jet X 50cc myself. bought it for 200€ euro with all the paperwork and 2keys. sat for 5 to 6 years in a barn and i got it running in half an hour. didnt even clean the carburator. only put new gas in the tank, and put the kickstarter back in place. very happy with it so far. (sorry for my not so good english)
Your English is great 👍 👌. You also did very well finding a bike that runs so well after being sat for 6 years . I'm not having quite as much luck with mine 😄
I think I'll make my way over to a little honda or something japanese at some point... been loving working on the bikes recently..such a nice change and they're so cheap to buy bits for
Keen as to see part 2 mate, subbed and 👍I've got one that was first purchased new in 2011 by the original owner 6000ks only that has my head boxed in. Just can't work out why it won't start.
Hi Mark, I'm sorry to say that I've since sold the bike once I'd refitted the engine and put it all back together..with the bike and multiple other projects I just needed to stealing things a bit, and the bike was unfortunately the first to get the chop. I do hope to do some more bike stuff in the future though
I am about to pull my 2011 red devil out of storage she hasn't been started in 5 years it only has 250km on it hopefully it won't take too much to start.
Thankfully the later red devil's seem to be better supported as far as parts are concerned..so even if it needs a few bits it shouldn't be quite as hard work as this 1998 👍... only 250k though....that's box fresh 😁
It was surprising to see that drive belt wrong way around, I've seen one before but it was almost worn out. I have built few 2 stroke street/race setups, there's some videos on my channel. Much cheaper than car stuff if you don't get caught 😃
Hey Darrell, I'm not 100% sure ..usually the sensor is bolted into the gearbox/belt case..and it's restricts your speed based on what reading it gets...so in theory you can unplug that . I love a bike project but I'm defintely not as clued up on bikes as I am cars
Hi, I'm not completely sure with thr jet. Usually its more than one thing.. a small spacer in the carb to stop full throttle, sometimes a speed sensor inside the drive belt case to limit top speed, and there's sometimes a washer on the drive belt pulley (to slow down the drive belt gripping) .
I'll try my best to get the rest of the sym video out soon (but lost a load of footage) I'm hoping the engine rebuild has worked and it fires into life soon though 👍

Yeah the trick is not letting a simple fix and rebuild turn into a big bore kit, bigger carb, fill exhaust crazy build 😜
Do you know what wire to cut to derestrict the limiter on 2012 red devil 2 stroke scooter

I have the same scooter, but I don't know where the blockages are, do you know where they are?
I'm not actually sure where the restrictions are on these bikes...usually in the factory exhaust and carburettor jet
Hello, do you know how can i take of speed restrictor(blockade) on sym jet 50cc 2t? Or how can i make it faster...

like and sub , i just got a 2003 Sym Shark Rs 50 2t scooter with 30k on it . I plan to build a street race 70cc setup with 20mm carb etc .

Belt and rolers size ?
Rollers were standard size/weight..the belt I order from "euroscooter parts" using the registration number.. so I'm unsure what size it was I'm afraid
