- I'm uploading a better quality version of the same album I had uploaded several months ago; the other one had many annoying glitches that were very audible. This one is somewhat better. I'm sure you can find a better quality version if you were to purchase the album by visiting the Celestial Harmonies web site or looking for it online.
Tracklist:

I'm Japanese. I'm glad to know that Koto music is loved by people from all over the world. Arigatou. お琴の魅力を分かってもらえて嬉しいです。ありがとう。
Listening from France... and I love japanese, but also balinese and african music. Here in Paris we have a japanese musician, Kengo Saito, who plays on an afghan instrument. If you can find his album listen to it. Its name is "Japanistan".

the fact that i have free access to this, and enjoy it without any interfearance is one of those little magical moments that redeems internet.
yes. i'm constantly in awe that right now, within seconds, I can listen to virtually any song _ever_ recorded, for free, in my own apartment.
it's easy to take for granted because we're so used to it now, but it truly is amazing. I grew up in the 90s so I remember a time without internet: buying CD's from the store, portable cd players that skipped if you even slightly bump it and ran out of batteries way too fast, CD's that won't play because they got a few scratches on them, so much more...😂
man there's something so hauntingly beautiful about the sound of koto. It's so serene but with a feeling of a sad past.
One of the most beautiful instruments on earth, as is the sitar.
@@Krayzpete I prefer sarangi over sitar tbh. It gives me the same vibes as the koto
You should listen to Luna Lee tear up 'Riders on the Storm' with her gaygeum.
The sweet sound of lament
Partially due to the scale used in most pieces and the microtones it can play.
I'm shocked no one posted the lyrics to zangetsu, they're pretty heart wrenching.
Hidden among the pines
On the spreading shore,
The moon's beams
So early in the dawn
Are awakening, filling with light
The moon's heavenly palace
Where you now belong
Your fond memory
Will keep returning
In the dimness
Of the hazy moon
As the months
Run their course.
It was written after the death the composer's pupil.

What haunting sounds. They are remote, of another time and ... they bring you back to a quiet temple on a brook in medieval Japan. Truly soothes the spirit. Thank you.
My love affair with traditional Japanese music started some decades ago when an album was released featuring violinist Issac Stern after he had visited Japan. Ideal music for relaxation and meditation. Thank you for releasing this music
Listening this everyday.
I express my deep gratitude to the author. I love Japanese culture. The music is gorgeous
I agree and I love it too. I'm looking forward to visiting Japan someday.
After listening to Meshuggah for the last 4 hours, this is refreshing

I don't think I can relate to a comment more than this.

Once you zone out while listening to this, its like the artist knew what you would expect to hear next, but they cut it short and change it every time to keep you on your toes. Almost like a master and trainee, amazing.
@Seb it beats me buddy, glad someone likes it though. ;D I thought it was fitting after giving it a good listen, it was one of the first things that popped into my head.
Oddly relaxing and centered. I feel extremely focused and productive while listening to this!
As a civ player, Rokudan no Shirabe from 0:00 made me feel very nostalgic… probably one of my most favourite koto compositions. I really like culture of the Japanese people 🇯🇵❤️
The real music is in between each chord. So beautiful.
Indeed
@@cliffpinchon2832 I think it refers to how the silence in between each sound is filled by the emotions of the heart, and this is what is being referred to as 'real music'.

Exactly what I thought !
I liked the song “Moon walk” because of the instrument he uses, now , after 20 yrs I met and fell in love with the Japanese koto

The anime Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life brought me here. Now, I'm loving koto music especially classical pieces like these.
Reading and studying with Koto music in the background makes it special and satisfaying.
Thank you - I have not listened to traditional Koto in too many years to write so I welcome this New Year 20-19 AD with your beautiful Koto spread the Love and pass it on. Blessings. Peace. Love. Now. We Are One. And so it is.
This music takes you to another world. Really mysterious. I can literally sit in a room and do nothing while looking at my roof window and be conscious of my existence, but yet not think at all at the same time.

I love the sound of koto but also I have always admired the Japanese vocals. There are so much dynamics in them, so much vibrato at specific moments.
I think that the Japanese folk singing is not trivial. There is so much logic behind it. I am really impressed. Great album!
I bought this album a long, long time ago. I'm still very glad that I did. Thanks for letting other people know about it.

I have never experienced such pleasure from any european symphonies, as I just have with zangetsu. Thank you.
I feel Japanese strings are too damn calming and beautiful, that responds to a lot higher octave in the notes of music. It uplifts heart a lot.
Here I am, again. At the bottom. I am grateful for having this work of art made by Nanae. It helps making through the days. Its perfect.
