15 minutes to say that the rear window and engine mount needed replacing at cost of 5k that was covered under warranty. What a waste of time
Glad I read this comment and didn't waste 15mins of my life 👍
Welcome to RUclips! Thanks for saving me time I can’t get back
Alexei Leshkin - You are quite right, he really does waffle and avoid saying what he has to say.
how is bad news when it comes under warranty too? bad news means he paid for it, good news means warranty covered it... title is bullshit too lol click bait
So many of these guys just like to hear themselves talk. The real skill is keeping it simple and to the point. There are only a few that know how to do that.
Well done for calling out the bad dealership.👍
“Fully ready for the track” continues to drive around London with TGE and not make track content
Carl Berthold busy haha
Fred Smith lol thanks Freddy. Not hating on Archie, just stating a fact. Actually quite enjoy his content and the content he makes with TGE. Thanks for pointing out who the real “bellend” is 😂😂😂
Fred Smith, I agree.
That’s not fair. Let him just enjoy HIS car for a bit now it’s fixed. Track days need to be planned and organised as well. He is trying, give the man a break.
@@johnblacksmith9505 we live in a society
what happened to track content??
Karts?
anything interesting???
you have potential to be an amazing youtuber but you keep churning away.
A 200,000k sports car, has expensive repair bills. I'm shocked!
Oh it's not a problem, it's just extra views.
Dear archie Hamilton no racing. Your never going to track a car on finance due to it being owned by the finance company. Please just buy an old m3 (e36, e46) strip it, weld in a cage, seat. Nobody cares what car your in just make some real content for once.
Just some flogging puff. Like I said, this pratt is better off with a civic.
I have been following him for 6 months and not seen him race a car just pointless videos
Yeah this lads just all bollocks really. On a track ... you could driving a lawn mower and it still doesn’t matter. It’s not like you go everyday ...
He has to pay to go on tracks. Thats why he does not do it often. The ad revenue from the video would probably not even cover the costs.
Whisper Cars Is he trying to rent out SPA for like a week? He can just go to the ring ... end of!
Why do I not believe that the receptionist would be rude to him. Why do I suspect he was waffling away at them (like in this video) and they got bored of listening! So fobbed him off. All these RUclipsr "influencers" love to play the "Do you know who I am?" game too.
I wouldn't entertain any of them personally!
Will avoid Porsche west London. Thanks for the heads up.
Soni Singh Pone But I now know which centre to go to ^^
Soni Singh Pone might be owned by the same people but the workers are different people
Soni Singh Pone do you wear a turban, I do
Not sure why certain dealerships treat customers so poorly , I had a similar experience with Porsche Bristol they were dreadful, it seems a lot of high end dealerships for some reason seam to gain an attitude towards customers, is seems you should be grateful that we have allowed you to buy one of our cars , good to see how honest you are about your experiences 👍.
brent powell it’s a supply and demand issue - don’t even need to do anything to sell these limited volume cars - hence lazy uncaring attitude. All too common at the high end with low volumes and massive margins.
djphineart yeah totally agree, however shouldn’t be that way, but you are correct.
Engine mounts and rear glass falling out on near new £200k cars is not great PR imo
It's not 200k car because they use special materials to glue the glass....
@@mnoovurvi my gripe is actually about Porsche, young Archie is gleeful over the mints they gave him for free, but to us more normal consumers your back window turing its self into an air brake and terminal engine mount failure literally months out if the factory is a complete faux pas.
I think they've got a cheek putting a monetary amount towards the "cost of repairs"
@@sugarsaint The car is not new, the car is 2016, it's 3 and a half years old. As I said, every brand, model or car can have problems. Dealerships are full of cars for warranty work.
They have to by law put the amount it cost for repair, everyone does it.
Not sure what your problem is ? Exotic cars are great to use, nobody claims that they are built not to break or use different materials. It's the opposite, they usually will never last for hundreds of thousands of miles like normal cars.
Sounds a bit sketchy to me. Two very rare damages to the rear of the car. Wonder how those could have happened...
@@blankspace5614 Engine mount is not a very rare damage.
With the rear window does not happen, however it could be from twisting, as the chassis is very stiff. Look at how mclarens crack their windshields. This could be the reason why it was starting to come off.
Must of been all the high speed corners when driving around London that did all the damage as it’s not been on the track
Got to stick to the 500 miles a year in the finance agreement yo
Yeah it's easy to track a car when it's at the dealership with a problem, he gave us track content less than a week ago
Porsche Reading is owned by Porsche Uk. Not a franchise.
"Free wash and vacuum" well there goes all that hard work from Stu
Thought the same
I never let them clean our car for that same reason TFR and wheel Acid 🤮
Why am I halfway through and you haven’t disclosed the problems?!
Fluterra it’s called RUclips logic... 10 minutes plus videos make more money, so guys like this keep chatting away. Man Archie, this could have been a 5 min update video....

sevvy lfc I’d be more worried about who fits it on those rims...some real animals out there sadly.
An entire 15 minute video in one sentence -- Warranty covered window and engine mount and I paid $1k for new rear tires.
Amen brother u know this... This channel is such a let down these days
True seems no content just drag out what was two warranty jobs on his car. That’s it spread out zzzzz
@@leekindell9937 it's such a shame seeing as he is an ex pro driver and obviously cako bako so could easily take any car to a track day and give everyone an in-depth review... Be great content instead of just a drag race with his pals.
15 minutes of my life I’m not getting back. 🤦♂️
phil carter Thats Why i always read Some comments before See video, thanks 😅👍
This is why i randomly skip through his videos till he actually talks about what the video was about
more like archie hamilton talking...................
How come the engine mount wasn’t noticed on pdi from redline, as you said the noise was already there
David Pakeman dodger dealings
He said a warning light appeared, it wasn’t there when he got it so when redline had it it wasn’t broke. People fail to realise that problems can occur at any second be it before you buy it, 2 hours after you’ve bought it or 3 months later😂🤷🏽♂️
Maybe because it wasn't a problem and it became one after that ? He does drive it hard, it is expected things to fail.
Nick on a car made for performance with relatively few miles on it? Jeez...
How many aggressive down and up shifts he has done in it since ? Think before trying to slate a very decent dealership.
Thank goodness for warranties! Glad it’s all fixed. Looking forward to track content.
Sounds like redline sold you a very dodgy car
Josh B well at least they sold a car with the extended warranty
Hardly, things break the car is used, the problem wasn’t there before he bought it it happened on his ownership. That’s what warranty’s are for.
Scott Hastings agree however things must have been on the end of their life
Jon Smith with an engine mount you can’t tell if it’s on its last legs the rubber bush might squeak but that couldn’t cause the actual mount itself to snap. It could have come under heavy load with a slight crack (Unseen by anyone) and sheered. We just don’t know.
Scott Hastings end of the day it had warranty so there wasn’t really a point in looking that deeply anyway, don’t think I was having a go at redline as I’m not and have brought a few though cars from them
That doesn’t mean Detail as in car cleaning! You just got a quick wash with a sponge 🧽
Booooo I only hear you chatting about (🤷🏼♂️), get to the point dude! I’m out....
Why use your own when you can keep using Tony’s lol
Was subbed for a while. Came back hoping to find something interesting...Nope! Back to not watching.
Same!!
He likes to waffle on. 15 whole minutes for something that could of taken 2 minutes.
The best part of a Grand for two tyres, I guess you won't be going out for a 'ruby' tonight eh!
Nothing better than 15 years extended warranty with Porsche i love my manual 991.2 Gt3 it's amazing
Had massive issues with OPC West London in the past. Now my car is only going to Reading. They are ace! Well done for calling them out. Only way to hope they will eventually change for the better.
Great advert for Porsche Reading!
Great advert for not buying tyres from OPC!
Go to 9.38 , is that a screw in the middle of the tyre. I might be wrong
looks like a phillips !!! he`s screwed now, excuse the punn !!!!!!
That's what I thought. Nail nicely flush into that rear right
I thought it was just some paint ... but looking closer I think your right.
I had three for Porsche West London...still waiting for call back promised Friday......🤔 interesting maybe I will not proceed if this is your experience...
The video starts at 12:50. Fukking nice purple though!
Fair play for calling out Porsche West London!!
Love car channel people who never work on their cars, and can't explain the work that they paid for.
With you all the way. People handing their cars over to garages and then saying "I've just fitted a supercharger to my car" etc. No, someone else is building your car. You definitely are not building it.
@@jamesf8864 yes ... we live in a strange world where superficial nonsense is highly valued, and useful knowledge based on actual experience is not.
Oh and well done calling out about the Bad service at West London Porsche.I hope Porsche sort them out. 👏
The wheels on the GT3 are stunning. They show off the ceramic brakes so well
Good on you - poor service needs calling out, its the only way things will change
Them tyres dont look new & the one you pointed at had a nail in the tread 🤣
Yeh i noticed that too.
I can't figure this one out, he showed the bill? Did they screw him?
Probably just a stone
@@tjpj1919 doubt it bet didnt get the work done there definitely nails on the tyre
This video is definitely not sponsored by Porsche West London. haha Well done Archie on calling them out, and looking forward to seeing videos with you and Tony's cars
how does that rear window weigh 3,000 pounds
all talking no doing same old click bait title
Porsche of Reading seems to know the definition of customer service. Shame on the other dealership. The small things they do for their customers, while unnecessary, are nice touches that will make their customers feel special.
You need to get the optional black headlights
Kudos for calling out Porsche West London, Archie for bad service.
Ouchy £££ there's me stressing over paying 80 quid a tyre lol
hoping to see Tony getting a go to thrash your car for a change :)
So how much did u get for plugging reading dealership... FFS mate... Drive round a track or if not just change ur name to AH... Also it's warranty so u paid sweet FA...
But it's CHAOS!!!!
So is it likely the broken engine mount caused some vibration or twisting of the frame which lead to to the rear glass bond to loosen, it’s a scary thought but probably with the chassis being so stiff that was unlikely, more likely it was just two unrelated issues, hopefully no more problems but I think I would be reluctant to track it having had one broken engine mount and others from the same time of manufacturing still on there!
£920 for 2 fitted rear tyres? robbed lol.
ChaBoyyHD utterly robbed. I pay £129 a tyre less for the exact same tyre
Dude. NEVER put something which is picked from the ground on the painted part of your car. The dust and micro stone like particles of the ground will scratch the paintwork. And I am not even mentioning the special paintjob this car has.
Covered under warranty........again
Well done on the extended warranty..... but a bit click bait.
And constantly moaning about the cost of ownership......... buy something cheaper!!!
Porsche Reading are awesome. I bought a boxster S from them a couple of years ago. It had issues every other month, including new engine mount, electrical issues, gear box ecu and a whole new pdk gear box!! Thankfully all under warranty but went over £20k in repairs at the end of it all. Had enough of the car after a while and replaced with a different Porsche at Reading and thankfully this one has all been okay.
Glad you got it fixed, and thank for showing all the cost, I will be visit Porsche in Reading some time soon.
You should wrap the car in a WEC livery but one that is different to Tony's car. Would look so good next to each other...
They rob you so much for tires, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 325/30 R21 - 189,49 € with tax for 1pcs. Have a nice day
The lad had money but no sense
It's michelin on the car not dunlop 🤦♂️
That's not accurate about changing the tyres. As long as there is no more than 3mm difference in the tread of the old tyre and new you can replace one tyre. That is Porsche guidelines as well.
Huge bill that’s under warranty so no big problem lol
When an active engine mount fails, it does not cause the engine to rattle around. It will act as a non-active (solid) engine mount. It is perfectly alright to drive the car with a failed active engine mount. I did it for six months before getting one of mine replaced under warranty.
I live in Reading and use Porsche for OEM parts all the time.. great people and great service.. good vid. AH..!!
Archie
I had a similar problem.
‘PADM service required’ appeared on my 991 turbo S GB Edition which I purchased through Porsche Center Tonbridge shortly after I purchased it .
When calling the dealership the receptionist was very unhelpful and eventually put me through to the service manager whom was equally unhelpful .
I ended up sorting the issue out with my local Porsche Center in Tewksbury whom were fantastic.
They carried out the full 111 point Porsche check and found that the engine mount was not aligning correctly and this is why the exhaust pipes were wonky ! and consequently why the PADM light appeared on the dash !
In addition to this the two front tyres were badly perished and the titanium bolts holding the exhaust together were corroded and needed replacing oh and so did a brake calliper among other things !
Porsche Center Tonbridge initially tried to riggle out of putting everything right until I kicked up a fuss after the Tewksbury dealership said it was unsafe to drive !
The final bill ( covered under the warranty ) was circa £4000 at cost and would of been considerably more if I were paying myself...
Conclusion is Porsche Center Tonbridge sold a car which was not fully prepared and were only interested in the sale with the after sale service on a £120 k car being shocking . Oh forgot to mention the chopped windscreen!
Tewksbury brilliant though !
Nice wheels Arch 😉
Changing to first back to second back to first to many bloody time’s 😩😂
Top waffler.
Ayy that’s my Macan under the cover 👍 nice vid Archie
Obvious clickbait is obvious. WITHOUT EVEN WATCHING the video, I'm going to make a guess that the car is relatively new, meaning it was under warranty, and whatever broke will be covered under warranty? That sound about right?
I arranged to go and test drive a Macan gts , drove 30 mins to get there with an appointment waited 20 mins then basically got told to leave because there wasn't enough staff to sort out the insurance at Wolverhampton Porsche centre ... couldn't believe how rude they was. The receptionist basically told me too leave. And the sales woman blanked me even after speaking to her 2 days earlier and arranging a test drive with her. Shocking customer service.
Main dealer will near double the price for tyres. Perhaps do your homework
@Richard Richard its the worry of the 5k bill yet the car is near 200k 😂
Just a look at me video
Porsche warranty is legendary. Real peace of mind from a quality manufacturer. Proper good customer service. Really breeds marque loyalty
Black out the inner part of front headlights make the roof and the mirrors black tint the windows paint the rollcage yellow put gold wheels tune it and lower it and you are all set
This guy can talk, it never stops.
Oh dear! Good on you for calling out bad dealerships, no one should be spoken to like that. But Porsche reading! The cars in there, especially round the back. Glad the cars all fixed and sorted. Thank god for warranty!
Glad I came right to the comment section instead of watching the video. I gave him a thumbs down for wasting your time ;)
15min video for something that can be explained in 5min...
made no money on the warranty work, "found" nails in tyres. Man i miss working for a main dealer, ripping off customers. Service tech for a main dealer, had to make sales targets to get my monthly bonus. Lots of "nails" and lots of "wheels need alignment". Don't work in that industry anymore. Our manager used to tell us off and give us warnings if cars left without having gone for alignment etc because it's 100% profit.
Looks great. Get the tire plan with your next Porsche. Those tires attract nails. I’ve gotten 4 tires replaced for free in 9 months.
Strongly recommend Porsche Centre Tonbridge for aftersales service. First class
Happy to hear that your GT3RS is ready for the track. Where about are you in London?
Love the fact that you explained your negative experience with Porsche west london.. often with these things customer service amongst other things is always presented falsely either due to youtubers being endorsed and thus advertising falsely or dealers/service workshops going all out for youtubers who then document and provide positive review that never live up to the reality for everyday customers.
P.S. when you actually start to track plugs and coils will be a regular as windshields.
As for tires remember you can fit cup r tires (the REALLY fast ones) to the 991.1 gt3 rs from the 991.2 gt3 rs.
Ohh fully detailed so it's been paint corrected and ceramic coated then? Lol, didn't think so. Love the RS Archie.
Rolling round in a GT3RS but says he cant afford a 5k bill...
I have an old Ferrari 308, I can only afford the petrol, maintenance is funded by my parents
At least it’s still ultra violet not purple chrome
Having owned Boxster & 997 from new and keeping within main dealer servicing, a "Porsche Health Check" is just another means of getting customer's to fork out to replace items that are perfectly serviceable but a way of maximising a service departments revenue. Unless the nearside tyre was below legal limit (which I doubt) you could have just replaced the damaged off side. As for Porsche Center west London, just read the comments on 911UK site for how that dealership are "respected".
These items should not have gone bad that early. Tells me porsche breaks too fast. He's worked hard in owning it? What does he do for a living?
Paid £350 too much for the tires.
how do you spell tyres ???
I really like seeing these types of videos on car maintenance... that GT3RS does look sick dou
It’s worth having warranty..just for the mints.
How did you end up with the Porsche warranty after buying through redline? It seems really tricky getting a Porsche warranty whilst buying from third party dealer. I believe dealers can't sell cars with a Porsche warranty. I was told in order to do this you could do a pre-purchase inspection by a local Porsche dealership - then you'd have to own the car for 3 months before you could get another 111 point inspection and purchase the warranty on the same day.
and there is you saying what a fantastic brand this is, very very expensive beetle, and you got robbed on the rear tyres i could have got you a pair fitted for 500 quid....lol...
jimbob1308 or £10 for the punctures repairing?
tbh all cars have problems, porsche are just more reliable than other brands
A beetle 🤔
Is just me or are you having no luck with the supercars from redline? Go check out acklam cars, my local dealer that I have just bought my 8th car in 4 years from, a few sweet supercars in stock and my facelift RS3 from Monday, but thanks for the honesty as always in your vids 👍
Car fixed, weather getting better, Archie and the RS on a track day has to happen now, can’t wait
90 second video turned to 15+. Even when finally finding the relevant parts, he actually started over, jumbled over his words, repeated, beat around the bush. Just give a thumbs down and move on.
Archie you came to the closest Porsche Centre to me my no.1 racing driver. Reading is the headquarters of Porsche in the UK. I would love to meet you in person one day and your amazing cars
I hope this isn't a click bait, he did similar with his Lambo....it turned out he had warranty....
Porsche West London arrogant snobs. Avoid at all cost. They've a bad mistake there as you've already had 41k views! Well done Reading. Mint car too lad.
I doubt all the 12 year olds that watch this ''racing'' channel are in the market for a 911.
ERM 09:40 your tyre STILL has a nail in the tyre!!!! you can see it clear as day just left of the centre rain channel of the tyre.
Looks like a stone in the tread, to me
@@shanescarlife its very much silver & very much in the tyre, its not stuck in the between the tread.. you can actually see the rubber being split as its been stuck in "that's a nail"
@@malp6280 I guess the screen on my phone isn't big enough to see what you're seeing
Not finished the video yet, but all that money on a supercar and you have assey staff at the London Dealership, that really sucks :(
Always keep the warranty intact on your supercar - Great review
£940 for 2 tyres 🤯 and here’s me complaining about the price of PS4’s on my fiesta st 😂😂
Would have been £546 at black circles with promo code
Huge Bill? That ain't huge. My Jaguar XFR cost over £1600 just to fix an oil leak... hahaha
This cost 3 grand to replace a plastic window, pretty expensive if I'm honest
If you think that's a huge bill, be prepared for a lot more if you plan to seriously track your GT3 RS!
So the car is under warranty, you didn't have to pay a dime, how is this bad news?
Also, If you think 5K is a huge bill you've chosen the wrong brand...and probably the wrong line of work.
Oh and by the way, video starts at 6:50
