That's how it should be. The moment you know what happens next if you read is when it kills the fear you have. You will definitely experience it alot if you ever do read it but I think the animation will give you much bigger damage. Which is what you should strive for. Is what I always want for anime onlies to get (only if the anime is as good or even better than the manga is when I tell them not to read the manga until the anime is done. And since JJK season 2 fits that description so shall it get. If the anime was mid I would've told you to read the manga but thankfully it isn't which is good as it deserves it).
It's a good feeling and experience you know.
This is by far the best jujutsu kaisen episode imo,Gojo the character we know as OP and can't be killed getting sliced and diced by Toji and then shooting Riko while the happy music were playing and then Geto going berserk over Gojo and Riko death,this is a masterpiece of an episode wow,Mappa killed the animations too it was stunning,still speechless 10/10

That panel when Geto is getting ready to fight Toji is one of his best looking ones in the manga. They did it justice in the anime too, I love it. Geto looks sick.

This episode is one of the best anime episodes that I've seen in a while. I'm a manga reader, so I knew everything that was gonna happen already. The montage of their vacation and the piano over it was so beautiful, I absolutely loved that, especially as a piano player myself. The fight between Gojo and Toji was insane. But the thing that really got me in this episode was Riko's death. I already knew it was gonna happen, so as we approached that point, my heart actually started to pound. Then the ending song starts playing and the first thought I had was: "OMG they're gonna cut off the ending song halfway through by shooting her in the head". Using the ending song to make that moment seem so wholesome and hopeful, just to completely obliterate that very hope a minute later was a brilliant move by MAPPA. Phenomenal episode, point blank period.
Exactly what I was thinking, that song really was an evil touch to make it even more shocking for anime only’s
even as a manga reader I was STRESSED watching this episode. The contrast between the first half and second half was too good
This is how you surpass the expectations of a manga reader. Even though you know it's coming, you are stressed and crying for Riko knowing that is literally going to get shot..
There's this thing called Heavenly Restriction. It's like an unwilling pact with the fate since birth. Mechamaru has one: he's super weak physically, but is able to use his technique in long distances. Toji has no curse energy, but is super strong physically.
And I think I need to remind you that every person has cursed energy (majority has just little). This means that Toji is like a glitch in a system and he can pass through barriers and veils unnoticed.
Now, there's Maki too 👀

Everyone should definitely go back and check out Megumi's smile when he did his Domain Expansion in S1, then check Toji's smile when fighting Gojo in this episode. Like father, like son.
We have never seen Gojo hurt so far and then Toji pulls up with zero cursed energy and does this. When I read the manga I had to put it away and breathe for a second I was absolutely flabbergasted.

Geto´s hobby is martial arts, he doesnt relies solely in his powers, but also is exceptionally good at close combat, thats why he seems to be more refined. Also this gives you a perspective of how ridiculously strong are Yuta and Gojo in comparation.
The episode was total madness.
And that curse that Toji carries is the same one that Geto has in the movie when he fights Yuta, right?

geto's delayed reaction after riko got shot is very realistic. it happened so fast that he didn't realize it at first (that, and slow motion 😂)
The way Mckay was cheesing during most of the episode got me cracking up LMFAO homie was anticipating their reactions

They tried to hide it for censorship reasons I think so it's a little difficult to tell when you are in complete shock of what has just happened.

heavenly restriction just means he has 0 cursed energy in turn for having insane physical prowess because even normal humans have cursed energy as thats how curses are made.
"Geto saw that coming.." he literally couldnt. The flashback earlier on with young!Gojo was the only time anyone sensed Toji's presence. So only Gojo can sense him and he got humbled upstairs 😅
Toji is the one who made gojo realize he is the strongest.
Their reaction to the end of the episode tho 🤣 guys be ready to be like this for literally every episode of this season 🤣
18:40 actually, regular people have just a small amount of cursed energy. Thats the reason maki is seen as weak by her clan, and also has a less powerful heavenly pact: she has even less cursed energy than that of a normal person (i think) but toji literally might as well be a chair to a sorcerer: having no ce at all basically turned him into an invisible man to all sorcerers and barriers, and with the heavenly restriction granting him superhuman power and speed, he’s practically unbeatable in any scenario concerning a sorcerer. And im not even listing the amount of weapons he has and his god-like proficiency with most if not all of them.
she has more than the average person. this is evident because of the fact that she can manipulate her cursed energy enough to use her cursed technique. but yea, all of the people living in japan have a little cursed energy that they cant control and it seeps out of them. that cursed energy that leaks is what creates cursed spirits.
I'm glad the anime adapted this part of the manga so well. MAPPA did an amazing job this episode in animation and direction which I'm glad because this arc is my personal favorite. Also, Takehito Koyasu did an amazing job voice acting for Toji and fits so well considering how iconic his voice is in other anime like JoJo and AOT.

@@anqqasaputra216 Yeah probably that at the very minimum, Shibuya is very fight intensive with a lot of chapters just being fights which anime adapts very fast compared to diologue

@@anqqasaputra216 Yeah it should and you don't need to worry much, 18 episodes is plenty enough especially for the scriptwriter who managed to make Summertime Rendering work in 24 episodes with over 120 chapters.

This episode gave me pure shock,terror and chills that i hadnt experienced in a long time. Riko's death was so unexpected and quick it didnt even give me time to recover from the slaughter toji did to gojo like i know jjk is dark but holy shit. This was the greatest episode of JJK period. Also the line work just at the end of the episode reminds me of yuta
This made me feel like we haven't seen anything from megumi yet.. like his father is insanely strong and sukuna thinks he's special.. can't wait to see more of him

Touji is really dangerous, since he doesn't have cursed energy but instead he was endowed with super strength and speed, that's called Heavenly Pact (which is what Maki Zenin has too, so imagine the potential)
I’m not sure if I like Heavenly Pact. It seems weird for a writer to create an elaborate power system with lots of cool and interesting abilities, but to then have most characters with those abilities be completely useless against other characters who can just pummel them to death with super strength and super speed. It’s kinda like “Mashle: Magic and Muscles”, but that series is a comedy, so it’s supposed to be humorous.
@@adampenbrook5751 is all about balance; if your system is entirely based on “born this way” and max a character can do is refine the powers they already have, you need folks like Mechamaru or Maki to spice things up and explore all possibilities.

That spear is like Miguel's rope (in jjk0), it can cancel any active cursed technique, infinity included. So it's not unique in the way of dispeling gj's barrier, but such things are still hella rare.

Just to give you guys some Spoiler-Free Explanation for Toji: Remember how Maki has no cursed Energy and is therefore super strong physically ? But also remember how the fact that she has a Twin is a "bad Omen" and how it makes both Twins sort of "incomplete" ? Well Toji is basically the same, only that he doesn't have the Twin Problem (which is going to be explained more further down the Line), he is basically Maki on Steroids ! Zero cursed Energy, but an INSANE Body with extreme Strengh and Reflexes. His Speed and brute Force are on a Level never seen before or since - combine that with an Arsenal of insane Cursed Tools and you get the infamous "Sorcerer Killer"
If you have read the whole manga can you pls tell me that toji is gonna be completely dead or are there any chances that he is there in the further chapters because I have only read Shibuya arc

If you read Shibuya completely, then he is gonna be dead from that Point on. Maki sorta takes his Place, and does that in a FABULOUS Fashion btw :D At the current Point in the Manga I feel she embodies his Legacy perfectly, so much so that I don't even miss the Guy tbh^^ If you loved Toji, you're probably gonna love Maki more ;) There is obviously always the Chance of him somehow being resurrected or used in the Future, but as of now his "Arc" is done and I honestly doubt he will make a Comeback :/ I mean at the Point of the Shibuya Arc he had been dead for over a Decade and he STILL made quite the Comeback and even sorta reconnected with his Son - which is already pretty good Content for a dead Boy if you ask me. However we all know how crazy and chaotic JJK can and will get, so I suppose it's fair to never say never. We might even get some kind of Maki vs Toji Showdown somewhere down the Line, although I DO think that's more wishful thinking than anything else :D
