JUDY SUZANNE REIS TSAFRIR, MD, is a holistic healer, activist, artist, and gardener with a private practice of holistic psy- chiatry and psychoanalysis located in Newton, Massachusetts. She is a board-certified adult and child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute and teaches and supervises at the Cambridge Health Alliance. She has particu- lar interest in combining spiritual and developmental approaches to healing, helping patients wean from psychiatric medications, and treating complex chronic medical conditions that present psychiatri- cally, including mold toxicity, mast cell activation, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is also offered in her practice. She is a practitioner of a variety of energy healing and esoteric modalities, including astrology, tarot, Shamanism, BodyIn- tuitive, and Reiki. As a Public Health Nurse, Registered Nurse of over 40 years I can attest to the fact there are MANY deficits in the medical model used by us in the United States. We DEFINITELY need to embrace the wholistic approach instead of just treating a person’s symptoms!

Greetings from a german nurse which worked in Germany and Spain ( for 30 years now). I see the german health system very critical.
Diagnosis by using ICD manual, anamnesis mostly without taking a Look at biographical circumstances.
Diagnosis, therapy, medication.
In the USA much more medication.
I do not work in a Hospital or other work places in the european health System anymore. Since 4 years.I am a Part of a family of healers ( doctors, pharmacists). Now I love astrology, am a Buddhist and Taoist and healed myself .

Thank you Heather for introducing us all to Judy and her wonderful insights and practises. What an amazing Doctor and human being! If only we could make her ways front and centre news in the world. Her sadness in regard to how the majority of people have no option in this modern world but to be treated so poorly medically, if even treated at all, as she said, makes me feel so sad too and yet incredibly grateful for the State health service we have here in Spain and especially in our tiny rural village. The Spanish mainly still believe in natural healing and minimal medication and promote the best health through eating a good balanced Mediterranean diet, exercise and use of natural remedies. We have instant and consistent access to our young 'family' doctor, who truly listens and is always there for us mentally which makes us feel better physically. We are so, so lucky, yet still people here moan! Maybe they should go live in the US or UK for a while.
That is great to hear about your experience there in Spain! And I hope that the People's Health Alliance spreads so that others in the world can have that kind of supportive, holistic experience.

Wow, she's talking about the subject matter of Dr. Cole's "Gut Feelings!" at the beginning and why I was led to his book at the end of this most wonderful interview. I had a severe histamine intolerance/mast cell activation problem such that I had to choose between eating and breathing because eating triggered severe asthma. So, 11 months ago I got into heavy duty fasting with super clean eating to feed my microbiome and have gotten the asthma completely under control. My father passed away this month and that brought up some major traumas I'm working through.
I hope to make an appointment with Dr. Tsafrir after his estate is settled in a few months. I've done tons of healing work this year by myself, but after hearing this interview I feel like there is far more I can unlock with her help. (I looked at Rising Moon, Dr. Heather, and found you aren't taking new patients).

I very much appreciate Judy’s articulation of her thoughtfully considered experience. She has clearly acquired a specialized, integrative education in psychological health. So many practitioners are pathologists, rather than health-ologists, let alone practitioners of health.

Great interview, thank you both. And it's so great to see healers integrating and turning to holistic healing modalities. I started out going to conventional doctors and have also evolved beyond that. I did not get much help at all. But it pushed me to go beyond and educate myself. So i'm grateful for all of that.
And the astrological piece is SO important. I'm just starting to realize this on a deeper level. It really shows how individual we all are.
What a great place to incorporate this wisdom.
I would say the "WOW" is also the inner child. Still in touch with her wonder and awe of the universe. The part of us that is still connected to the divine.

I had a Ketamine infusion in a university study back in April during the Jupiter-Sun conjunction transiting my natal Venus. I had an amazing experience followed by 2 months break from 4 decades of severe depression/CPTSD. Over 7 months now, the heavy veil (weighted blanket) of depression is a struggle, but I have only had one nightmare and n0 suicidal ideations, which is a big deal for me. There are other positive residual effects, but something changed for me that day. I hope to do more when I can afford to in the future.
I never had any desire to try psychedelics, but now highly recommend with trusted assistance and safe doses.

Please know that there are many holistic healers working at a range of fees. That has been a major priority for me in my practice. And I am excited about the work of the People's Health Alliance that is working to make holistic care affordable to all.
I feel you. We all come from different pants of the world too. Here an average MONTHLY salary is 800.
I'm hoping once my father's estate is settled that maybe I can gift myself an appointment; my father always said that parents should pay for their kids' psychiatry bills rather than college...funny how life works out.

Indeed, we are seeing these industrial medical systems break down and new models building up. Also in childbirth, there is a huge movement to birth outside of the system and women are getting to experience the true right of Passage on all levels including spiritual. Babies and mothers are staying connected.

We at the PHA-USA know that this way of healing is not only possible, it is essential for the well-being of us all. Last night I dreamed about a transgender person, and it was one of those fairly rare times when you meet someone and immediately enjoy each other's company. When I woke up I thought how interesting, the normalization of this, and how lovely. I find my dreams are coming back, after a hiatus of nearly 18 years. Very Wow. Very Grateful.

I too have concerns about A.I.so get this: I used my GPS audio which I don't use often. So after I didn't need it, the machine started talking to me. I don't remember why. I was in traffic and I didn't want the distraction. I also don't want audio unless its necessary. So I blurted out "Shut the F___ Up!" The machine responded "You talk to me with respect. "

Looking at the root cause is so good. But I also had to look at irritating causes that imhansed or retriggered the root cause.
Yes, they are all important.
Yes, there are many levels and interconnected "root causes. " Just like in an actual tree, our root system is complicated. No tree has just one root.

Dr.Tsafrir is the only other person who has expressed that each of their chakras had a different animal guide. I would go so far as to say that there is a complete biome to explore in each chakra.
Thank you ladies, I totally agree with the rapid healing that people are able to achieve in these times. My understanding of the Age of Aquarius is that the Self Healing Prophecy has come into our midst. A few years ago I went through my ascension, a mind blowing experience! Saint Germain was my master of ceremony and his presence in my field taught me about the Violet Ray effecting the earth during these times & it's transformative power. I know very little of Astrology so I am not sure if this is represented in the Stars in any way? but I understood it as photon light particles. My knowledge & modality is Dowsing & Spirit Releasement Therapy & in last few years i have noticed lost souls, negative attachments,etc etc, que up for release where & when ever opportunity presents, as opposed to the long & difficult persuasion & negotiations of the past. All want to go home,.. like it's the last bus!
It would be interesting to know what took place in my Astrological chart at the time of my Ascension, kundalini rising event or whatever it was that happened,it was some crazy energy. It was very difficult to stay grounded & people would hyperventilate when they came near me, lots of birds & animals turned up,like every cat in the neighborhood. It went on for several weeks & i was instructed to prepare for something,I thought maybe I was going to die, the noise of frequencies was deathening but eventually the presence of who I can only assume, was Jesus, arrived & held my feet. Iam not religious so it was quite puzzling but I did learn so much especially about the Elemental kingdom & developed a direct line of communication with the nature spirits, who now assist me with the spirit release therapy, for which IAM very grateful.

I was a little confused as to why Judy had "she/her" next to her name, especially if she understands how corrupt the health care system. My friend's daughter calls herself 'they/them' and is saving to have her breasts removed. By people adding she/her he/him etc people are actually supporting the confusion of our young. Sorry for the rant but this is literally the new Anorexia/bulemia affecting mostly women. 😢😢

This is what I don't understand. Perhaps someone here knows the answer. Certainly, not all planets in the universe have not been located and named. How do these planets fit in with astrological readings? Should we ignore them, and follow the limitations of western knowledge? How can we base a part of our spirituality on only the planets we know about???
This is a good question. My understanding is that these new planets come into our awareness as we are ready to integrate their energy and consciousness into our collective consciousness. I believe as we are in this process of awakening in this time that more and more planets will come into our awareness and be integrated in our understanding of our universe and ourselves. As above, so below. As it is outside of us, so it is within us. As it is within us, so it is outside of us.

I thought Ketamine was a short acting anaesthetic for humans and animals or a short term sedation. Similar to Rohypnol or GHB which can be used for their amnesiac or sedative properties to facilitate sexual assault. Why use a drug that you can have a high psychological dependence.
Seems unwise
Why not do this more naturally with food, health, and get help with various therapies. Also maybe with help from spirit guides if appropriate.
