Btw this is something that I wanted to tell you in your previous video, where you weren't sure if Soult could take the attack book as you don't own the general. Only in the attacking generals, where the skillbook specifies "when leading the army to attack", it is 100% sure that they can take the attack book. For the reinforcing generals, where the skillbook specifies "when leading the army": - If the main stats = to 25%, they will not take the skillbook (Subutai, Martinus, Minamoto, Naomasa, Soult, etc.). I have tested this theory with all the general I own and it seems to be consistent.

I’ve noticed this too. The only Generals that are unable to take the Attack Book are the Versatile 2-Way Generals (Attack/Defend). As you said, it’s not all the Versatile Generals, but it’s only Generals from that group. So this means, it’s not necessarily a knock against them that they can’t take the Book…because they retain most, if not all, of their stats regardless of the situation. Other Generals lose a lot of “Attacking” Stats if they’re not, you know, actually Attacking someone. I guess it’s a matter of, do you want to maximize attack power for hitting keeps? Or do you want a General that keeps his/her strength regardless of the situation you use them in (Attacking/Wall/Reinforce/Occupy)? I’m thinking of creating a secondary Cav March using Li Naomasa for this reason. He’s focused on Toughness, and can keep his strength wherever I send him. Especially if I use him to hold buildings or rein teammates, whatever, where I don’t have the benefit of my Debuffs…I need a guy that stays strong, and is focused on being tough to kill. That’s my logic. I’d like to think it’s sound…

I think it’s just a matter of strategy. It’s like, ok, you can have an OP General, pushing the upper limits of Attack Power, but in order to achieve that, you have to sacrifice versatility. Or, you can go with a General that remains powerful in every scenario, but you have to sacrifice that extra oomph. I guess it depends on your style of play.
Aka! Can you please make a very basic sub city video? For keeps under 30. I don’t understand what the mayors purpose is and how well their skills work, how important their gear or skillbooks are, how important gold production or construction is, what that even does for your main city, etc. I can’t seem to find the right info on this no matter how hard I look. At one guide, it said you can train only one troop type in your sub city, and set the appropriate mayor there to coordinate with that troop type. Is this even possible? Thanks for reading!!

It does sound the same 😂 but in Evony, there’s a difference. Simply put, when attacking is strictly that - when you are attacking. When leading the army can be when attacking, defending, reinforcing, marching, etc. “When leading the army” is Evony’s way of saying “Can be used in all situations” 😉👌

As for combination with assistants, I think that really depends on the style you are playing and what you want to focus on (regular defense, t1 trap, etc). Wall generals have the highest compatibility in the game, so finding a good assistant to fit your needs shouldn’t be too difficult, as long as you can get the generals 😅
That depends on what you want. Your defense plan will dictate the wall generals and assistants that are appropriate for you, not the other way around 👌
The main general will have access to all their buffs including base stats, main skill, specialties, ascension, as well as buffs from a dragon or spirit beast. Assistants only have buffs from their main skill and specialties. Nothing else 👌

The general’s stats increase the % buffs of the troops the general is leading. The same goes for the general’s base stats. As you raise the generals level and increase cultivation (and also ascension), the general’s base stats increase and add to the % buffs on the troops, which are separate from the general’s skill, specialties and ascension buffs 👌 The higher the base stats, the more buffs the general gives 😇

There is no wrong information there. I clearly stated that Subutai cannot take the attack skill book. If you are going to use him with those generals, just take off the attack book👌
Unfortunately Subutai cannot use the ranged attack skill book and he does not pair well with many generals. He is very subclass to the other ranged generals.
I guess that depends on what your definition of “subclass” is. In terms of compatibility, from the generals I’ve checked, Subutai is compatible with Charles, Douglas, Alfred, Conrad and Gnarr. In addition, I’ve heard he’s also compatible with Kaguya.
bro, this comparacing is bad, always need to take march size into account, Charles 16% march size equals to 43% attack and def, 40% hp. Elecra's 16% is 43/40/40. Subutai is 38/36/35. So Charles or Electra better than Subutai being primary. Electra stats at lv45 with attack amd m.size book is 431/329/296 (m.size converted to stats %). Subutai - 418/388/315.

Thats formula compare effect of addtional amount MS*5500 adds to march total attack / def / hp (2.792m * 1 troop attack * total attack buff) if 2.897m troops without additional (MS*5500) troops have same total attack/def/hp
