"You can't trust a pirate", he's not wrong, the Strawhats are some of the exceptions, not the norm. 90% of pirates, even in One Piece, are really not all that good. Loving the One Piece reactions Jack, look forward to the next one.

there's actually a reason for that! on the first drafts of the story, back when it was called Romance Dawn Luffy and his crew were not pirates, they were peace men. That is, pirate hunters! hunting dangerous pirates was kinda their job, thats why they were diferent: they were the good guys

@@caelumestfinis1624 I guess, tho I dunno much about it, there's a manga with a recopilation of short stories from Eiichiro Oda from before One Piece. Look it up 'cause its very interesting! you can see the characters from other stories that would later evolve into the guys from the crew, and in the short story thats Romance Dawn you can see the previous design of Luffy:
he didn't have a scar, and Nami was already part of the story, tho her hair was diferent and she had a pet panda bird! in this short story Luffy had to fight a character that was very similar to Buggy but instead of a clown he was a mage and had a magic flying broom!
Also Luffy had been raised by his grandfather, who had been a peace man himself and wanted him to follow on his steps. He was a mix of both Shanks and his grandfather in One Piece, he's the one who gave him the hat.
In this version of the story, the fruit he ate had been looted from one of the evil pirates his grandfather defeated.
The Buggy storyline is all canon. It was told in the manga as cover chapters as a little side story to the main story.
Kind of sad how after this, that material is left uncovered in the anime.

Loguetown is also called "The town of the beginning and end" because it's a wordplay on Prologue and Epilogue

In the manga this buggy story is shown on the title pages for a few chapters, they call them "cover stories", there are quite a bunch later on that are in the manga but have never been adapted into anime form, it might be worth reading those when it comes up

If you see a panda or the word "crimin" in a piece of clothing, those are clothing brands in the One piece world, it is called "Doskoi Panda" and "Criminal," and I think it's not related to panda man, but all of those are Easter eggs

Oh... Ishinobi really doesn't know who she is cause two things make it quite obvious: 1. the ship. 2. the uniform she wears. Well the next few episodes he is is going to enjoy including the introduction of one of the best/coolest, badass, and respectable navy captain that i like in this show. Also his assistant i like as well( for starters she is smash material. Yes i said it but none of you can't help but agree comments) cause she is really cool.
