It might work. Are there codes for pioneer on the code list? I don't have that one here to test and make sure.
Thank you you helped me😆
Glad I could help! You're welcome.. :-)
I brought this after I saw your video, and it works awesome on every device I have except my roku, I love it. Thanks for showing the learn feature it's epic. I'd like to add that you can use the learn feature to add a function to one of the preset device codes with out wiping the code you previously entered. I used the guide button to access the file system and view/rename my dvd storage, and also the channel keys to Sage selections at at a time on my Sony DVP cx995v 400 disk dvd changer so this remote is even better than the original. Just takes the efforts of programming it .
Is it a roku stick? If so, those use rf to control the remote... glad u got it going!
Well what about the rat-d197a I have an Emerson tv and I didn’t see it on the list
It’s dvd remote but it has the volume button and the option for time but those don’t seem to work and it seems like you can set up to tv but I may have to just go get a universal remote because I’m confused 🤔
HI.. that remote is only made for Sony devices. Looks like it'll work a Sony TV, but there's no way to program it to other brands. It's not a universal remote.
Thank you very much I appreciate that
You're welcome..
Appreciate, it worked out for me. 👍
Excellent! Glad I could help... 😀
once i programmed my remote i lost the original can i use the program remote
to make another one the same way?
Yes it should work..
EXCELENT, GOOD TUTORIAL..
Glad it was helpful!... :-)
I bought a new remote RMT-TX300E to replace my old one because it was broken..... I can't find any set button or anything I don't know how to make it work on my Sony TV
HI, so I looked that one up and it looks like it's a replacement remote for Sony. It's not programmable and the description said no setting or programming needed, just put in the batteries and go. I guess that's not what's happening?
@@JLPicard440 yeah It didn't work i ordered for another remote model I'll update you if I have problems
Thanks for replying 🙂
@@megasbasileios3154 You're welcome.. 🙂
It controls my Element TV, but it won’t let me change inputs. I can cycle through the inputs with the channel down button, but then I can’t select the input. Any ideas?
I think I might have answered this one?
Can this remote learn/program an Amazon Firestick Remote?
Yes, you can use the TV in CEC mode. I did a video on this some time back. here's the link.
ruclips.net/video/MndLcR5FfT4/видео.html
Thanks for the video!!
You bet! You're welcome... :-)
I don't have that remote. I have AV system RM-AAUO19. How to program this remote
I don't think I can answer that very well thru a message like this!
Could you please send me the operating instructions for LR Generic AV Remote RM-AAUA019
Can you please give me the code to Vizio I have a sony university remote control just like the one in the picture
HI, I usually leave a link to the codes in the description. If it's not there or the link no longer works, you should be able to google the codes for Sony universal remote. Thank u.
Fantastic thank you
Most welcome
So no way to program this sony remote with romu remote correct?
If this remote is teachable (I don't remember, but I think it is) then it should work using your original remote to teach it. Certain Roku's won't work because they are RF controlled not IR, so it depends which one you have.
Hi Rudy@@JLPicard440 I was able to get the remote to power my Vizio on & off and the menu button works but the arrows won't work to select a menu item. Any ideas? I do not have the TV remote to copy and I'm wanting to get the input to change since the hopper remote only controls the TV power as well. Please help.
@@mrsstepbart Did you try all the available codes for your TV? If so, I forgot if this remote has an auto code search, that's worth a try as well....
I need the code for a Vizio I don't see it in the package
HI, if I didn't leave a link to the codes in the description, it should be easy to google the codes for Vizio.. Thank you.
RUclips king
Thank you so much!
I need the codes for devices. Like, I need the code for DirecTv! I even tried to search for it manually on the remote and nothing. I have the original manual for the Sony remote and it doesn't tell me the codes.
You can try the website and see if there listed there. There should be a link in the description. If they don't have them there, I don't have them either since that's what I go by.
We have had the same problem. We end up using the learning function on the sony and do get by.
Why isn't my SET light coming on? I've put new batteries in my remote and the TV light comes on when I press it.
It should be! Was anything ever spilled on the remote?
@@JLPicard440 No, but I hadn't used it in years because I bought a fire stick to control apps and channels. Can I use the Sony remote with the fire stick? I followed a suggestion on the Sony website and cleaned the battery area with alcohol and I was able to get the SET light to come on when I pressed the TV light ~ I got the three flashing dots but I still can't use the Sony remote to turn off the TV. The remote 😊worked fine years ago when I had cable instead of the fire stick and streaming apps.
HI... I guess you've already tried fresh batteries.. (just throwing it out there!). Yes you can use the remote for the fire stick if your TV has HDMI-CEC capability.. I did a video on this a while back that explains what I mean:
ruclips.net/video/MndLcR5FfT4/видео.html
Just wondering have you tried all the codes for your TV? IF so, how about the auto code search feature? This will search the whole database and see if it'll hit on one that works better for you...
I have two of these and I've programed them in the past but now I can't teach any button from any remote. I feel like I'm entering 988, but I feel like that's not the correct procedure.
Are the batteries any good? Sometimes a weak battery will cause programming issues..
@@JLPicard440 I tried new batteries in both, and I found out that I am doing it correctly, but certain buttons just will not learn, and it's the same for both remotes. Weird part is that I've used these remotes in the past and all of the buttons were teachable.
DOES ANYONE have the code for the remote used to control an AT&T U-Verse cable box? Remote is AT&T S10-S3 and the cable box is branded Motorola VIP 2250. Thanks!!’
I finally found one that works!!!! 50858
Good deal.. :-)
Hell yea thanks it worked!
Excellent!.... Glad it helped... Thanks..:-)
Hola! Alguien puede decirme, donde esta el botón ( size ) en control Sony, es para hacer mas grande la pantalla de la tv
Hola, es posible que tengas que ir al menú del televisor para acceder a algo llamado zoom. Eso debería agrandar la pantalla.
Thank you!
You're welcome
Code search 3:00
Is there a question?
@@JLPicard440 no, I just keep forgetting the code
When I try to program a remote manually it does not work... The second I press a button on the sony remote to copy it on the other remote the the red button flashes and turns off before I can even clic on my apple tv remote... I tried with an other remote and it's the same thing... (I bought two of those remotes and the same happens to both...
1) I press and hold the set button until the light stays red then at the same time press the center button
2) I type 988
3) I choose the tv input (for example) and the button stays red
4) I press a button on the sony remote, then the TV button flashes red then shuts off then the set red button flashes and turns off too
So right off the bad it's a fail already....
5) Then when I try pressing the TV button again it does not stay on....
Anyone else is having this problem ?
I'll try to look into it for you. I have to leave this morning, but if you don't hear from me by this evening send me a reminder.. thanks. BTW, I haven't checked your procedure there to see if it looks right, but did you check the batteries to make sure they're fresh? This can cause trouble too.
I'm having this exact issue. Did you ever find a solution?
sony rm-vz320
HI, you would just use the same procedure in the video, but sub out your code for the Sharp ones. If you've lost your manual, you should be able to google the codes for this Sony remote.
It works with Roku remote, you have to unplug you roku power and it works, I just did it
Excellent!
@@JLPicard440 I brought my Vizio soundbar back from the dead after watching your video... Was too cheap to buy the $6 remote. 1st I had tried searching for a device. Pretty easy.
i appreciate it but it still doesnt work with my broksonic dvd vcr combo GAHHHHH
If that brand is listed, you might try to program it as a TV on one button and a VCR on the other... See if that does any good.
Is this really by Sony? I found many on China websites and it looks exactly the same.
Good question. I can't answer that..
@@JLPicard440 thanks. Have you any luck with controlling an Onkyo receiver. I tried mine but don't seem to work.
@@wilsonganks I don't have an onkyo to test.

Cool shades 😎 Oakley ?

Hey I'm using a sony rmvz 320 to try to program it to a emerson tv but none of the codes work any advice
I think this is a learning remote. If you have the original, you can use that to program the functions in. Also, you might be able to try a auto code search and see if that'll hit on something.
I actually don’t know what I’m doing,my tv is a Sony Bravia and the controller is already connected to the other tv, I’m on the screen mirroring page on my tv, what do I do from here, sorry if I don’t sound professional I’m a kid trying to work the tv 😂👍
HI Izzy, thats a bit to complicated to explain over a message like this. The video should show how to program in a Sony TV. Did you watch it?
Cool
Thank u!
My channels wont changr everthing elsr works.
Did you try all the codes? Also make sure your remote is in TV device mode.
I have a sharp tv
HI, you would just use the same procedure in the video, but sub out your code for the Sharp ones. If you've lost your manual, you should be able to google the codes for this Sony remote.
I don't speak English ☹️ help!!!
Traté de activar los subtítulos para español, pero no me permitió hacerlo sin una transcripción escrita. Lamento eso.
The print are too small
HI, see my other answer..
so far i have wasted cash on 4 freaking remotes 2 GE's, 1 Phillips and this damn Sony not realizing it doesn't even have code for roku. WTH .i guess it's back to damn Logitech. anybody watching these videos. download the code spreadsheet before you buy. too late for me but maybe save you some cash and headaches.
The sony is a learning remote... can't u teach the functions to it?
@@JLPicard440 yes, THX to your detailed video the learn function works good. most codes in manual don't work with my equipment i guess this must be an old model or something so search and learn are the only way to go with this. Although some of the learn functions don't seem to store no matter what. strange it doesn't have an EXIT button had to teach that for each remote. This remote also does not have the Expose what codes was scanned . be good to know what codes are stored.
