You’re so genuinely happy right now and I love that for you!!!!! I feel like I’ve seen you through so many different stages but this one is definitely my favorite, you’re thriving!
just a heads up - typically your chicken and meat will be ready in a crockpot early but it tastes a lot better when you leave it in the full time bc it was able to soak in ☺️ it also makes shredding easier when you leave it in!
I have a crockpot and I love it!!! Here's a list of my favorite crockpot recipes: -chicken tortilla soup (probably my favorite 😋) -pot roast -beef tips -honey garlic chicken -potato soup -chicken and dumplings
Dear Keegan thank you so much for creating these entertaining videos for us, you don't know how much I love watching ur videos and how much of an inspiration you are to me
Believe it or not, so many people in my inner circle got sick during the holiday season and it continued all the way into the new year. Thankfully everyone is doing okay now.
Just a tip, always start the mixer slowly down in the liquid, that way it won't splatter. Same thing taking it out, stop it down in there, so it won't go everywhere.
as someone who also has trouble sleeping (don't know if this is exactly why) but i've noticed i don't sleep when i have little bit of stress, weather is changing, and if my time of the month is coming 😅 i find drinking tea like an hour before bed can help. also my favorite type of crockpot recipes is the 5 ingredients or less ones because there are some good ones
I find with shredded chicken the key to flavour is using stock instead of water and adding a dash of cinnamon. The recipe you used, personally I would add more liquid, perhaps a half a cup to a cup of stock, so you both, have a sauce for your chicken, and the chicken will absorb more moisture and flavour. It's one of my fav meal prep recipes
Whenever I cook chicken on high in the crockpot, it’s always so difficult to shred. I find it easier to cook it low and slow for 5-6 hours depending on how big your chicken is. It’s so much easier to shred when you cook it on low!
I have been sick since the beginning of January and I also have a crockpot but haven't used it in a while and really want to start using it again. 10k steps is great! I don't think I could get that many steps in. I love your vlogs!
Cooking in a slow cooker (crockpot in British English) don't worry about changing the recipe, once cooked put extra into containers and freeze, ready meals just need microwaving when you can't be bothered to cook or running late for work.
@@KeeganActon either get out first thing and defrost naturally or use the defrost setting on the microwave, depending on when we remember to get it out the freezer, then heat up for 1-5 mins depending on what it is and the quantity.
A walking pad tip…make sure you put your watch on your ankle…sometimes on the apple watch it doesn’t register the steps correctly since your hands are more still when you’re typing/using the computer!
Walking 10k steps a day is awesome. I strive for that, I prefer outdoor walks and I live in a winter state so some days it’s challenging. I go by some is better than none so if I at least get something than I’m happy
@@KeeganActon so far not this winter but I have in the past. Today for example is an indoor RUclips workout day. No way was I going to attempt to walk on ice today (we had freezing rain/sleet last evening into the overnight and this morning)
good morning!! just wanted to share some insight about chopped onion that I learned recently and thought of during your crockpot clip!😳 Turns out that onions absorb bacteria/gunk (used in holistic medical practices to literally pull bacteria out of your body🤢), and once you chop an onion, it starts absobing bacteria & stuff out of the air/fridge. So; it's best to cook any diced/cut/copped onion right away & dispose of any leftovers. Not only to save a stinky fridge, but also to save yourself from eating whatever crap the onion absobed.
I’m so proud of your determination and productivity! The crock pot chicken looks delicious. However, you need to put the leftover tomatoes in another container. Tomatoes are acidic and can react with the metal can. At the very least it will change the taste but it can also breed bacteria.
I take an Ashwaganda gummy plus a melatonin every night and I am having the best sleep of my life! Take both like 30 minutes before you want to fall asleep and it will knock you out. I also struggle with falling asleep and staying asleep. Highly recommend!
I’ve also been sick since right after Christmas. I’m JUST now getting over it. My whole family had the same thing. We got told it was a sinus infection. I had a sinus infection that led to a horrid ear infection, on top of being pregnant. I had emergenC powder but also I drank oj and those pedialyte IV packets and took lots of elderberry syrup. Basically just getting in important immune supporting vitamins and supplements as well as staying hydrated and getting as much rest as I can.
with the onion thing, i find that if I chew gum while I'm cutting them, I don't cry. I can't remember where i got the tip from but I thought it might be helpful!
I have had trouble sleeping as well. I take melatonin every night right before I go to bed but it's not doing anything and when I do fall asleep (eventually) I wake up like an hour later...that happens all throughout the night. Idk what is wrong with me but I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!!!! If someone has any tips please let me know 😭
Girl, you need to go see a doctor and get a sleep study done ASAP. From my own personal experience, I sometimes have trouble sleeping just like you do, except I also have also been told that I snore very loudly when I sleep (and my breathing stops and starts). Sleep apnea is no joke, it's a silent killer. I unfortunately have it. You should also turn off your phone at night (or at least set it to silent while it's charging) so you're not waking up an hour later every night.
Amazing Video I enjoy Look awesome cool great start pretty stunning Queen love. Sweetheart. Highlight of the Day Looking forward all Day take care yourself stay safe babe❤❤
Taking one to two magnesium before bed leads to better sleep. However, at least in my case, I have really low iron, almost critical, and I could not fall asleep and stay asleep for the life of me. I was also incredibly drained and always tired during the day, it was like no matter how much sleep I got I was still tired. Maybe get your blood tested like when you go for physical. Even if your iron isn’t extremely low like mine taking an iron pill can promote and regulate better sleeping routines. Definitely look into it, I know from watching you for a while that you’ve always struggled with sleep. I hope it gets better!!! 🫶🏻

If you like pistachios, eat 20 - 30 half an hour before bed. They have natural melatonin in them which will help you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Happy Monday Keegan!!
Morning!
For shredding chicken in the crockpot I always find it shreds better the longer you let it cook
does cooking it longer dry out the chicken? that's the main thing i was scare of

@@KeeganActon thank you sm, luckily we’re all recovering. I’m the last of the bunch so hopefully we’ll stay free of illness for the next few months
For crockpot: I usually let my meal cook as long as the recipe says. It makes the chicken very tender and juicy!
my mouth is watering just thinking about it haha
with the onion thing, i find that if I chew gum while I'm cutting them, I don't cry. I can't remember where i got the tip from but I thought it might be helpful!

I love broccoli with beef and carrots and rice. How do you like the Crockpot? Isn't it a slow cooker too?
omg yummmmmm. i like it a lot!! i think it's a slow cooker?
buy some crock pot bags! i like to use them when i cook chicken in particular
omg i didn't know those existed!!!
You should probably take some Emerg C packets, tea, soup or something similar.
those help soooo much it’s insane
If you cook the chicken longer it will eventually just fall apart, we'll cook a chicken casserole all day on low and its amazing.
I was worried it would dry it out but I'm going to try it next time and let you know!!
lmao i love the salmon vanilla thing. Great video 😊
hahah thank you!!
happy monday keegan!🫶🏽 i hope you have a great day! i’m super excited to watch the vlog!💗
yayyy
buy an ankle watch band! it counts your steps much better while walking on your walking pad
i was thinking about that!! i'm sure it doesnt calculate it well on my wrist because im typing
The walking pad is my best purchase to date 100%
im OBSESSED with it so far im so glad i bought it
Don’t leave food in opened cans, you need to move it to a different container because it can’t ruin the food if you leave it in the can
