IIRC the assist getting hit makes it awkward for the game to let the point character actually enter preblock (which ends up preventing them from blocking since they have to go through preblock) since the attacks hitboxes end up spawning on the defender outright

You know the gaming industry is in a weird place when a sequel of a remake that was as good as dead space gets friggin canceled. It's like a game has to game of the year contender or it's bad / gets shut down.
Or it's just unprofitable to be risky you gotta be big and make a trillion billion dollars to cover the cost of the game and marketing plus make some money back
@explodedglue5509 You just reiterated my point. The game was praised by everyone and it still wasn't enough. Back in the ps3 era games didn't just get shut down etc willy nilly. Bf1943 for example didn't have its servers shut down until literally 15 years later. Meanwhile both rumbleverse and deathverse with way bigger budgets and modern tech got shut down last year within literally 2 months of launch which is RIDICULOUS.
That is a ''MvC1'' Strider. Maybe not that dangerous here, but is still decent. I always hated what they did to Captain Commando in this game. He was solid on the first one. I feel like you could have done the Captain Storm instead of the Sword, that one never works in the corner. Or a Captain Corridor followed by the Sword.

If you want to DHC into Juggernaut super reliably the opponent needs to about level with Juggernauts head when standing idle. Too low and they just land on the floor and block. Any higher and it goes under them or they get to air block for seemingly no reason. You can Totally go from Jill air super into Royal Flush and then right as Gambit taunts you DHC into Juggernaut and it hits 100% of the time with me. It seems pretty reliable with Felicia's qcf KK super too which is very nice and if you can time it well you can even do it in the corner after Collosus air super. But yeah there is a very small window to DHC into without it dropping.
Talking about glitches, there's one with Cable and Jill heal assist, no matter the distance if Cable hits a jumping HP or HK he will get healed no matter the distance, even on a super jump
I bet MvC4 needs to be like UMvC3 with the whole comicbook-like design, even if they have to use RE Engine as a basis. (I don't want MvC: Infinite all over again, becaus "realistic" doesn't fit with a 3v3 fighting game like Marvel vs. Capcom).

I think Doom push blocked so tron assist left the screen early. Jins blodia from what I remember has to hit an assist for 2 or 3 hits to be unblockable.

So it might be push block or it might be because he was already blocking. And the 2 or 3 hits thing seems plausible too. So you might be onto the solution here. Thank you for your input

i think the hitboxes are flickering in and out as they hit ken (you can see max jump forwards and try to airblock, but every few frames he goes back to just regularly falling for a split second, and then starting trying airblocking again afterwards) and the hitboxes end up catching jill on one of those split seconds where she isnt in 'preblock' and since she isnt in preblock, she cant transition to actually blocking. you cant go from neutral straight to blocking, it has to be through preblock/proximity guard/whatever we call it

Your Strider is looking pretty sharp. If anything, you're underusing Ouroboros, but otherwise pretty solid

It's a known glitch from the OG games that's gotten less known as the years have gone on. If your assist is hit, you're unable to block it.
