Insurance covers repairs not a new machine
@@letsgobrandon8 Like when you crash a 15 year old car worth 1200 dollars...it doesn't give you money for a brand new machine of the same caliber. Pretty simple how insurance works xd. Even if that 1200 dollar car can't be replaced by anything reliable for the same money.
He said at the beginning he didnt have insurance
@@maggsstuckey487 I said we do have insurance. It'll pay for repair not replacement, I'll cover this in next video
I tell you what. New car washes with fancy LED’s and colored foam are fun. Our kids love them and we are always preferential to the fancy one.
Should’ve gotten a lawyer to go after the insurance company. He damaged your property with his vehicle, he’s responsible for making things right.
Right? I was looking for a comment like this
The insurance from the car would pay for the fair market value of the damaged equipment, so whatever the cost to directly repair or replace that same system. Not a major upgrade system. So they will pay out that cost of the repair but that will only cover around 20% of the cost of them putting in a new upgraded system.
I'd calculate the profits of it and see how long it would take to pay off how much to repair it was, over a year and i just wouldnt go for it
Ya, ROI is very important. Industry average is 2.5 yrs.
Oml this guy wants someone to help speed to construction of his car wash machinery lmao! Fucking genius
Even worse - he doesn't even know if the Factory is a good place to work. He is just to telling his viewers to go work there so he can get his "car wash parts" faster. Does this guy listen to himself? Why would anyone watching his RUclips channel do that? If the Factory is having trouble finding people, then most likely they don't pay their workers well, or its a horrible environment to work in.
@@TheBigExclusive exactly what I'm thinking like tf
@@TheBigExclusive Its just not that plant. Unemployment is paying more than alot of jobs currently, especially in Michigan, as Michigan is mostly closed still. Lots of other industries are held up due to foundries that make specialty metals are still closed by government demand(Timken Bearings are an example). Its not just Michigan either, and no, one can't "just pay them more" as they have to get the money from somewhere too and being shut down for pushing two years, while still paying taxes, paychecks, rent, utilities, etc didn't help anyone any.
@@TheBigExclusive dang bro calm down, right now the economy has gone to crap. I'm telling the truth, every single restraunt in my town is hiring. Every sign, every corner, they are ALL understaffed. Probably because of "unemployment benifits".

That building at the end looks amazing on the outside. The inside, well... lol.. Hope you actually bought it!
As a soon to be retired industrial mechanic I've learned to always put penalties in the purchase contract for not meeting the delivery date. These companies that do high dollar equipment builds of low volume equipment sales never have enough orders too keep enough skilled workers staffed to meet turn times. They always rely on unskilled temp workers to perform master level tasks and lay them off as soon as the build is done. They also have lousy engineering support and you will have problems getting it up and running. Best to plan on having one of their techs on site for the setup (usually costs extra).
Tech was included in the price

@@TheBigExclusive This is a new level of RUclipsr scumbaggery, but I guess it’s what should be expected from this slumlord millionaire.
Well at least you figured out how much to repair it before ripping the old system out. Some lead times exceed 18 weeks for parts. The vendor might blame labor but I’m thinking it’s parts
Belanger makes far more than IBA's, so they may have lost (labor) focus on them.
Same... I'm a facilities manager and we have long shipping times on ALL AV and mechanical equipment due to chip and material shortages. All those items from China were affected by the pandemic/tariffs and shipping/supply chain issues.
1st off really enjoy your content. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it. But I think if you don’t have a standardized daily/weekly/monthly audit established it would be prudent to start now. Good health and prosperity friend.
Leave the brick, and stone wash it or clean it up. I think people will like the brick over cheap plastic
Id have to disagree. most automatic carwashes use white to have a more clean feel. it also makes it brighter inside. brick just feels cheap.
@@lockinhinddanger934 yeah, after typing that comment it has come to my attention that I know nothing about carwash's. But even still constant water on mortar will eventually break down and cause a failure. Not speaking in the near future but over time.

Nice radiant heat floor...but the real gold is that slayer shirt!!
I love that little town. There's so much character in the buildings there. With all the new buildup of restaurants and shopping on the southern end, it's nice to see life coming back.
My advice, as echoed by others below, would be to sue for not only damages, but also lost income / revenue, etc. With clear video from your surveillance system (as evidenced by the guy who attempted to break in), not only is the individual easily identifiable, but the license plates are clearly visible. It's a very simple process of running the plate, getting the name of the individual who corresponds to said vehicle / plates, and going to court with all necessary documentation. You should have the individual "Dead to Rights", as the saying goes. Having spent nearly two decades in the Criminal Justice field, I would imagine that you would not only have a solid case, but counsel would urge their client either to settle, or you could, conversely, sue their insurance carrier to cover the aforementioned damages and losses of income / revenue.
Get an oil extractor pump system, probably $10 at habour freight, to do the syphoning. Save your tongue.
Don't have to suck it all the way to the mouth. Could put his thumb over it about 4" away. Then lower it below the level in the hopper. Do it all the time.
Asking your viewers to work at a factory you know nothing about is very bizarre. If the factory is having trouble finding people, then most likely working conditions are awful or they aren't paying enough money to draw in the type of skilled workers they need. You promoting the factory on this channel is very strange - especially if you don't actually know if the factory is a good place to work.
You should be calling the factory to demand they maintain the end of their contract, or cancel the order and find another business that can actually deliver in the specified time frame.
Will be interested to hear
1) what the mayor expects you to do with it,
2) what you envision,
3) is he giving you a 5-10 year tax deferral for all the investment you’d have to put in it,
4) estimated reno cost,
5) with everyone being short staffed, do you have consistent workers?
Godspeed! Exciting 😀

Id put up bollards at the entrance that retract after payment, then take out a 500k insurance policy on the structure.
I mean 250k seemed expensive, this is even more so. I don't think I've ever seen a carwash do this.
That's a big failure point tho. Imagine the bollards failing in place and trapping someone in the car wash? He's in Ohio, in a car wash, icing will be a concern especially on steel bollards and the mechanicals underneath. Not a good idea.
@@SweetLou0523 second option, create a labyrinth entrance like a military ECP that requires changes of direction before proceeding. instead of hescos, put a couple of big ass concrete planters in the way.
If a person brings in a 100K car to a carwash they are just crazy. I guess they don't care about their paint job all that much.
Touchless car washes don't harm paint. Only carwashes with giant brushes do.
100k doesn't buy what it used to, a mid range 1 ton pickup is 100k. you can go to 150k for high end trim anymore
@@TheBigExclusive but all the cheap chemicals they use do. It’s why brake calipers turn chalky, rubber window mounding looks “Oily” etc.

replace. Even if repaired the life of the equipment would be extended only so much and less than if it was just a refurbishment that might have been 5-10 years out. So spend more than it would have cost to refurbish the equipment to get a lesser time or get something that may last longer. From an asset management point of view, the damage to the equipment calls for new. It was what about 30 years old, so time it was going to need some TLC to get through another 10 or 20 years before being totally worn out and incapable or being refurbished. So the question is can that new car wash bring in $2,000 over costs a month to pay itself off in 10 years. Now for insurance you could go for the difference between the new equipment and the old for the expected life time of the old equipment. You incurred costs that were not coming for another 10 to 20 years, but may be off set by how much it save in operations and maintenance costs. You may have to check the BOP to see if it has a section for loss of revenue.
I would seek extreme legal action to the insurance company and get as much out of it as possible and then see what to do from there.
Sounds like the guy did not have insurance.. so not a thing can be done.

I’m intrigued by this $1 warehouse.
It’s bad when the customer is promoting the factory on his social media to get people to work so he can get his product. The company should just raise prices and pay higher wages. Customer gets what he needs in a timely fashion.
Market economy only works if you can find slaves to produce your stuff for cheap.
Else you have to raise wages, raise costs, make your product more expensive.
But of course, with higher wages more people would be able to afford your now expensive products. But then they would be broke again, by paying so much for it! And so on.
@@federicofaenza8675 that is why companies in trouble and have to give up quality for quantity they will get rid of all 35+ non executives for cheap eventually as good then most of those would leave or become executives before termination.
My husband can't get parts for his repair business. It started about 2 months ago. In over 20 years he has never not been able to get parts. He worked everyday during COVID (people needed repairs) and suddenly the end of March 2021 the suppliers all were running out of parts. The factory is still open and the one my husband toured pays a living wage in a rural area. The employer wanted to pay more but health insurance costs have risen so high that fewer raises are given because thr raise is basically keeping your health insurance paid for. My husband struggles to get us coverage being self employed (we pay over 30k a year for basic coverage for a family of 4) and this factory showed him that the health insurance and other benefits and taxes and workers comp were higher then the wage so if they paid an entry level high school degree only employee 50k a year, it cost over 100k a year to have that employee. The factory he toured was in the Southwest and had only one health insurance option to buy that has gone up over 10 times what it cost 10 years ago. I believe this has to be partly true. We live on the border of 3 states and the wages vary by which state you work in, same job like fast food or retail (not factory), same company, but the company claims it is the cost of doing business, mainly health coverage that makes wages $2-5 an hour different at entry level.
@@silverspoons7458 it looks like a government paid health system like many countries in Europe will become necessary there too

I would fix for $65k. Love the drone footage flying through the bay.
Glad you are OK I was worried.
I think that you made the right choice with the car wash. Not only will it all look new, but you will get new technology and options for the customer. I am guessing that with the old machine you would be able to fix the damage, but when it is all apart, you will find other parts that need replacing also. Where as with a new machine, you can offer the customer new features, and you won't have to replace old parts all of the time. A good example is the pay station that you replaced for it. New machine, and you should not have to chase over there unjamming it nearly as often.
Man where have you been, living the good life off your dogecoin invesments?

When I was a transit bus driver,we had a bus mechanic from another depot that took a bus into our carwash while the one at the other depot was being repaired,he didn't pay attention to the slight incline at the beginning and pushed the throttle completely down,it started going sideways and kept the throttle down and it went thru the sidewall and into the tire shop and out, pushing 3 bus's into each other that were next to the tire shop waiting for tires, afterwards it took 5 tow trucks to remove the bus out of the wall, away from the damaged bus's,tow the damaged bus's to central maintenance for repairs, they found out later that he was talking on his cell phone and not paying attention to what he was doing when he started pulling it into the wash,it took from mid April until end of September to take the building down and rebuild the building and replace the wash, the company fired him because he didn't pay attention and for using the cell phone on the job without the phone call being a company call

If you had a carwash in kingsville Texas I would work for yall
Northville Twp is about 2 miles away from my apartment. Aside from vacation, sick days, and holidays, I haven't had a single day off during the entire pandemic. Programming, my field, is booming because people are trying to do everything from home, and they are doing that using software. I'd say that in Michigan people are sick and tired of manual labor and want to join us techies working from home. People stopped buying American cars, factory workers in Michigan got the shaft, and thousands of families were plunged into poverty. Nobody wants those factory jobs anymore, at any pay, when they can be ripped away on a whim and sent to China. The last jobs done by human beings will be programming, before machines take everything over and we become extinct. Short answer: Keep waiting!
More likely they [factory workers] have been enjoying a year of government sponsored vacation and are less than eager to rejoin the workforce.
No, the last jobs for humans will be the Industrial Automation Mechanics. Machines dont fix themselves.
If the last jobs will be programming hurry up and make a damn robot that can roof.

Just a hunch based on not a ton of experience, unless you are running super high water temps there isn’t going to be enough heat. Normally in snow melt systems you see large tubing (5/8) spaced a lot closer.
You *may* be ok with the portion that goes inside but the outside portions probably wont perform. You may also have to run your boiler in an inefficient temp range (above 140F assuming a condensing boiler). Hopefully i am wrong.
