    Say your weekday Shaḥarit prayer with Rabbi Hillel Lavery-Yisraëli from Beth Jacob Synagogue, Hamilton ON Canada.
    Since due to COVID19 we can't gather in synagogue for our regular morning prayers, I've created this video which you can use to say your prayers yourself. Read along with me - the Siddur is on the screen!
    When this video ends, jump to the day's Shir Shel Yom (Psalm of the Day):
    Sunday: • Shir Shel Yom - the Ps...
    Monday: • Shir Shel Yom - the Ps...
    Tuesday: • Shir Shel Yom - the Ps...
    Wednesday: • Shir Shel Yom - the Ps...
    Thursday: • Shir Shel Yom - the Ps...

      you need to go to Rabbi and ask where to buy Teffillin and Tallit. and go to minyan. The men will show you what to do. Learn Hebrew as a language as welll as just prayers is best way. Get a study mate at the shul. all these are suggestions.

    This really is an incredible resource. I have been looking for a long time for a Shacharit that has this pace to it, and the explanatory pop-ups are also good. At my beginner-intermediate level, I found that I could follow along with this. I have always found myself falling behind in synagogue so this will be good to learn and improve. Thank you

    Aren't we obligated to also read the passages about the incense and other offerings or are those technically optional?

    • @henrykjaronowski8023
      @henrykjaronowski8023 2 года назад +1

      Korbonot is definitely pious, but I don't think it's an obligation unless you are strict for doing it personally --- then you should consider it almost obligatory on you. I remember reading somewhere that if you are hurrying to not miss Sof Zman Shema, you can abbreviate Pesukim to just the Ashrei and Psalms 148, 150. That's definitely just fine, in case of need. But I think you shouldn't plan on needing to abbreviate Pesukim.

    • @henrykjaronowski8023
      @henrykjaronowski8023 2 года назад

      Also, Conservative movement doesn't focus on reading Korbonot I think. I've read Korbonot a handful of times in my life, just to see what it's like. It gives me a headache, and makes me too tired to have good kavanah for pesukim or tefilah.
