  • Etosha! What a place! An absolute highlight of our time in Namibia. We stayed at three campsites within the park - Okaukejo, Halali and Namutoni For us, our favourite was Okaukejo. This place is positioned right on a waterhole that is lit up at night. It is visited throughout the day and night by numeorus animals. We didn't need to go on gamedrives as they animals quite literally visited us. It's an unbelievable experience with very special visits from black rhino at night.
The Etosha pan is undoubtedly, massive. It is the most distinctive feature of the park and can even be seen from space. It is believed that it was formed over 100 million years ago and is 130 km’s long and up to 50 km’s wide in certain places. This means that the pan covers almost a quarter of the entire park!
