it was instant for me. love it and take it everywhere. everything you need on the surface and if you want to get deep deep, its in the menu. i find the menu ok as i am used to Roland gear. the menu is defiantly worth learning. it all lights up and all you have to do is remember what 'letter' 'key' the setting you want is on. its a doddle
@@jjlaceyofficial I really enjoy doodling with this thing. Like mentioned before, I think it lands somewhere between the MC101 and 404mk2.. a decent sequencer with sampling capabilities. You’re right, the manual is definitely worth learning and more so the lettering on the screen as well as the shortcuts.
Good Sir would you kindly speak more about your monitor journey? I've noticed you're one of a very few people who have Palmer Studimon, I was thinking of getting those. I've scrolled through your channel and it seems you've used yamaha and ik multimedia monitors as well.
Absolutely. Let me take you on a journey. Started with HS7 and at the time 2018 we had a huge living room, so it worked great. Later on I moved out to a dedicated studio space that was quite small, and I couldn’t use them fully due to neighbors in the house.. and it was hard to balance 9-5, a bunch of kids and visiting the studio so I moved back home. That’s when I decided to go minimalist and got the Studimon 5. After we a while we decided to move to a new apartment, and that’s when it got tricky. I tried a bunch of different ways to make the best out of my tiny corner, rearranged it a bunch of times and I thought that my big speakers (hs7, studimon5) took too much space, and that’s when I got the Iloud speakers. I had a tiny desk and it worked OK. Once again not happy with the space, took a 6 months break from RUclips and started working on the setup. Went with a classic Karlby IKEA counter top, sold my HS7 and brought back the Studimon5. Now here we are. I like all of them, but the HS7 was too big for my corner and with the new setup Iloud felt tiny and out of place, and if we’re talking aesthetics with the theme of my space Studimon5 wins and they sound really good. I would say that the HS7 had a better low end, but maybe due to the bigger size. Maybe they’re equally to a pair of HS5. The iLoud speakers are being used as my TV speakers today.
Thanks 🙏🏻 Funny tho, I also have the 101 and had a segment that didn’t make the cut for this video.. in short, I think the P6 lands somewhere between the 101 and 404 mk2.. and I wish they made a 101 MK2 with some inputs and reinforced housing.
I think it fire and only gettin better, but there something else i want to address. So the samples are all hot but i also couldnt make anything more with it,that doesn't sound this basic, but each sample goes hard especially the flute and i still think beatnutz could flip it to an classic. 😅
Thank you! Worth 200 bucks fo sure.. one big con would be backing up the "projects" cause you have to export the patterns + samples separatly.. but if there's a will, there's a way.. I guess =)
I see.. for what it is I think it’s worth the $200.. but I don’t think it ever will be my go to device for making beats. I rock with Maschine+ 99% of the time.

That beat kinda goes hard man
Thanks man 👊🏻
That beat sounds great to me tho👏. I have the mc 101, I would love to pair it with this sampler when I'm away from the mpc

@@BoombapArt I hope so too for the mk2. Most of the stuff I make comes from the 707/101 and then goes to the mpc
Nice beat!
Thanks 👊🏻
For $200 that thing is amazing
Agree 👊🏻

Interesting. Imma look and see if I can find an acapella 👊🏻
🙋🏿♂️ I would DEFINITELY Rap on that. 🔥🔥🥵🔥🔥💪🏿💯💯💯💯

I do not trust people showcasing audio gear while holding a clip-on mic in their hand.
I’m cool with that.
Proximity effect.
Exactly 😅.. jokes aside, I am looking at some new options..
44.1 stereo - 3sec
No no no!!
I hear you.. or like 6sec 22Hz, plenty of time 😉
@@BoombapArt maybe, but not for me😁
