I converted my Teton to brushless after the brushed motor died, and it did open it up a bit more, but I killed the spur gear. Still a lot of fun either way. I can confirm, the wheels don't have foam in them, but they really don't need foam where the vehicle is so light. Biggest thing is to just glue the tires.
I just bought a losi mini t 2.0 for my dad for Christmas. We live on a farm so I picked up a set of the pin rear tires as well. Might grab one of these for myself! Seems like a sweet little rig 👍
Mine started off just like that 🤣 bone stock and then it crashed into some brushless and lipo power with a hobby wing esc and then aluminum all over 🤩😉
Some B&B nice. I would get the PreRunner for the camper you have all three do not take up a lot room. Metal servo gears extra pin clips and batteries. You are all set. Good video
I love my Teton! So much fun for the money. I took it through deep puddles a couple times and killed the motor, Traxxas sent me a new one for free! I've been bashing it pretty good and nothing has broken so far. The axles are wobbly now so perhaps some metal ones will be my first upgrade.
I've got a Hobbywing brushless system in my teton and it a little quicker but I've got a 2200mah 20c in mine and it last for about an hour and 20 minutes, I've also upgraded my shocks to 70mm shocks, down waste your money on the gtr shocks from traxxas, I've put rpm arms on mine and glued the tires on, you can also buy the wltoys 1/18 monster truck body and put on the teton, just have to buy another front body post.
As I mentioned above I’m now on A arms… #5… I think… I wonder if I should actually just upgrade, I’m just worried that the next thing up the chain will break though. :(
Put a castle micro mamba x in it ($104 on Amazon), with a 3s 120c “zeee” batt in it. I love mine! I have a dynamite 2n1 in a latrax rally too, bout to put a spool in the rear; one way drive shaft, tape the tires and turn it into an indoor drift car
Get ready to get a metal gear servo. Just bought a teton last week less than 2 batteries through and the servo is completely toasted. I am impressed with the handling and the low center of gravity balance with 4x4 it's super cool. I payed 139$ in south lake Tahoe. Just waiting on a new servo! Otherwise awesome car and awesome video man!
Too bad all of the LaTrax vehicles are sold out or on back order in the OKC area. Well, guess I am just meant to wait. You mentioned the mini E-Revo, have the VXL one, yeah, that thing is crazy fast. Definitely have to have room to run that thing if you want to get to high speed
Let me tell you guys. My first hobby grade rc car. When I started it was a Walmart grade thing. This little guy is so worth the price. Small scale obviously. But as I went and got more into the hobby. It brought me back to this little shit. If you think you want to get into this hobby. I think this is a great one to start off with. Love this thing. The only thing now is I don’t link the phillips head screws.
if you look closer you can actually see much more diffrence between the teton and rally, and mine is waiting for a brushless kit :-) on banggood you can find it for under 30$ motor and esc .
Has it got oil in the shocks or just springs like the rally? It has a nice body that would look good if it was a 1/10th scale body. Do you think TRAXXAS will revive the 1/8th scale Funny cars I liked them and should not have sold mine along with the timer system I had three of them but not many guys wanted to race theirs they became shelf queens, so sold them no point keeping mine when no one else has them, now we have no prep drag cars.
I’ve bashed my Teton forever and have yet to lose a body clip. Aside from inverting the shocks I’ve swapped to lipo. Very very fast and fun. Not as fun as my 1/16 4x4 slash but damn close. As for crawlers, I only have 1. It’s a Axial AX-10 with tasteful upgrades.
Mark i just bought me one because of this video. Pretty fun and fast. Now I want the Supra by Traxxas and just display it. I also own a Ryobi 18V truck ever heard of it?
@@nimblybimbly4002 no lol they're fine just discontinued and traxxas used the same platform for the 1/16 summit, revo and slash. Only difference was control arms (I think) and rocker arms.
Looking for a beginner rechargable off-road rc. Any other good options? This price is fine I just don’t want to pay $500 for a first time one. Something you can buy parts for if it gets broke too.
Love your channel and all of the helpful information that you put out for us to consume. Thanks to you, I’m back in the RC game. Keep it up and, as you’re making a positive impact on a lot of folks.
I put a castle mamba monster X micro brushless system in mine and found a 3s Gen ace pack that's fits perfectly in the tub with no modifications, I put on Xt60 connectors. Savox servo, RPM metal fluid shocks , metal diffs , my Teton does standing backflips and is insano!!!! You have to go brushless if u want some real fun , don't listen to that bs about the batteries, he knows brushless and lipo battery is way better
Great video of a cool little run-about. Think it should be pronounced Te-Ton ... Its not a Tea-Con ... or is it? How do you think it compares to a "WL Toys" RC? Looks like a lot of fun for the price, Keep up the good work :)
I've got both. My Teton is fully modded and I'm in it for a little over $300 including the Teton. My wl toys 959 I eon on ebay new for $45.00 and you can get the carbon chassis and aluminum upgrades for $100 banggood, wish Joom ebay. Then another $25 or $30 for cheap brushless. And it's pronounced Tee-Taan. Like the Teton Mountain range in Wyoming in the Rocky mountain range. ;)
I bought a Teton for my little one so that he wouldn't be too jealous of his older brother and it's a sweet little car BUT the A-arms are weak! I've changed them 4 times already… in just a few months, I even bought 3 pairs last time ($5 for a pair), just in case. I also opted for NOT upgrading them to heavier duty ones because I fear that something else will break further down… ironically, that's what happened this past weekend, the bulkhead broke ($6). So: it's great little car but a fragile one unfortunately.
Things been a pos for me I have blow through 3 motors now and the esc just died and I've prob had about 7 packs through it. I've bought cheap Wal-Mart rc's that last longer
Just bought one for my 4 year old today she loves it . I am extremely impressed with it

I got the E revo 1/16 brushless last week.

Awe yea!!!! Tetons are a blast!!!! On lipos, it is a blast!!!! 🤘🤘🤘 Agreed we need a Trx24!!!!
Best thing of the Teton is that it comes with a 3 setting program..
1. Beginner
2. Fast with reverse
3. Really Fast no reverse

Love my Teton, and Prerunner. Both 4wd and come with bearings. Now rpm makes replacement arms too.
I own 2 Tetons and a rally and they are so much fun out in my front yard

Yea I like it. I won one on eBay in march and my son and I are having a blast. We also hydro dipped the body for it. I put it on my RUclips page

I heard great things about this truck. So wow great is it man

awesome little ride, however, do yourself favor, get some rpm arms and extra bulk heads,
My boys have both a Teton and a pre runner. They are both 4wd, both awesome, but the pre runner is more stable and doesn’t flip over as often.

Oh yeah broke an upper arm a few days ago on my merv 🤦♂️
I have the Prerunner, did a brushless system, 2s Lipo and it is nuts!
I put the body pin holders that Traxxas makes on mine and it helps a lot. You will also need extra axles. They don’t last long.
Mark the prerunner is 4 wheel drive it just has a longer chassis just to let you know
Teton rocks. It's a trip

You predicted the TRX4M in this video.
Have 3 of them put the rpm control arms on it because the stock one brake fast.
