Did y'all see what I saw? I see a cop with a friendly roadside demeanor, good pursuit tactics, insanely clear and clean radio calls, excellent command and control techniques (organizing/requesting resources to aid him in the pursuit), great decision making (didn't pit when he easily could've because he was alone), maintains command of his emotions during a stressful situation, understands the "one voice" principle (only one officer issues commands at once to avoid confusing the suspect/issuing conflicting commands), takes charge on the scene and moves other officers around to ensure they're most effectively covering an area, effectively utilizes cover and concealment, talks to a crisis suspect like a human, and doesn't unnecessarily mag dump when it comes time to shoot. This is a model officer - it is no mystery that he is a Sergeant. Excellent, excellent training from this department and beautiful implementation of what they're clearly taught to do.

On Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 the Sauk County Sheriff's Office received a report of a disturbance taking place at an address on North Baltimore Street in the village of Spring Green. It was reported that an intoxicated male was outside the residence causing a disturbance and trying to break into the home. Prior to law enforcement arrival it was reported that the male, identified as Lawrence Drennan, age 35 of Spring Green, WI had left the scene driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander.
A responding deputy located the Outlander parked on an adjacent road unoccupied. The deputy then approached the residence on foot where he located Drennan back outside the residence. The deputy detained Drennan and conducted an investigation into the incident. As a result of the investigation, Drennan was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 3rd offense, Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Criminal Damage to Property. Drennan was transported to the Sauk County Jail where he was transferred to the custody of jail staff without incident.

In October 2023, Drennan was charged with such felonies as OWI Causing Injury, OWI Hit & Run, multiple counts of threats or battery to police offer, and threat or bodily harm to health care worker. This was in Iowa County, in the SW corner of Wisconsin. But in typical Wisconsin tradition, despite no having no ties to the community and multiple felonies pending, the judge had let him go with a signature bond.

If I just had the weed then the max is 30 days.
If I only had papers that would be no charge at all.
