The most beloved pastor. I was a literature evangelist when I went to Andrews, and I remember knocking on their door, and presenting our literature, which I am sure they already had. But since he was not at home, his wife Karen was there and greeted me. The next day Pastor Nelson saw me and insisted to give me 20 or 30 dollars. I refused at first, but he kept insisting and pressing me for it. Being an international student, every dollar counted, so in the end I accepted it. What an incredible gesture. Thank you Pastor Nelson, for being considerate also of the literature ministry. And I also remember seeing him very often with the young adults street ministry at Benton Harbour. We even went once into a house and prayed together for a family. He was always at the forefront and leading by example. I already miss seeing his sermons, which I never stopped listening to for so many years. Thank you man of God, and thank you God.
I was never bored listening to Pastor Dwight Nelson. One theme I observed from afar was that symbol of contentment. He never showed signs of any ambitions to move up the ecclesiastical ladder, or hoping to become an administrator. The example he set is going to sit with many Christians in a lifetime. May the good Lord protect and guide him all his life!!! It was an honor listening to you Pastor Nelson!!

He is a faithful man of prayer. That's the legacy I recieved from you Pr. Dwight Nelson. Do you remember that Sabath Sermon? "Do not worry be happy". You asked a question to all the students audiency: "What should we do? I just got an invitation letter to join the E.M. Shall we join it or not?
We kneel on prayer!!!! That gave me an spiritual awareness of the times.
Things were getting harder each year. New York Towes and Covid-19. We're getting closer to go home!!!! Lets wake up!!! and finish the mission!!!
Thank you Pastor Nelson and your family .You have affected my life and millions of 9thers in ways that you will never know in this lifetime. GOD has blessed you and all of us by your ministry. I praise the Lord for HIS unfailing goodness. Blessing for you and your wife on your new journey as you continue to walk with CHRIST. Let us hear how you both are doing every so often.
