This guitar plays amazing. I have had many guitars with Floyd Rose's on them since the 80's, and this one is my favorite. The neck feels almost like a 59 Les Paul. If anyone thinks a Les Paul should not have a whammy bar, just play one for 10 seconds, you just might change your mind!! #bestguitar #fav #coolguitars
problem is the pick ups suck, everyone who paid thousands for this model is changing them to F space FR pick ups, when you go too low you cant hear the strings or they die off.
No mention of the fact that they needed to design a new neck joint so the neck comes straight off the body instead of back at an angle like it normally does with a stop tailpiece.
This guitar is amazing, fixes every nitpick I've had with my wonderful LP for 20 years: heel, whammy, flexible sound. I would prefer a less bombastic tremolo, more like a Strat, as the Floyd and locking nuts are unattractive to me, but better over-engineered than under. Nice.
This is the first video I've seen of Cranbourne Music. I wish the host had introduced himself. He did amazing things with this great guitar. I want to encourage you to develop a general show opening including a welcome and identification of the host(s). Good journey.
I need a Les Paul with Floyd Rose to play Carcass/Entombed/Cathedral-type of mix of extreme metal and classick rock with the Classic Rock-type crunch but also tuned to B and the whammy dives... and I'm even left-handed so I'm kinda screwed.
Yeah, watch the vid from 3:30, he talks about the delicate finish. I made wall hangers with nice pieces of hardwood but I used cushioned tool hangers from a homestore. Mistake!! There's a little burn on the back of the headstock on my 1976 LP Custom. Oh well, live and learn. I think I'm gonna give my Black Beauty a Floyd trem for her 44th B'Day. Well, I'm not gonna actually do it, ha. Just pay.
Contact Ibanez. Every one of their trem's have different specs. They have produced direct retrofits for OFR's in the past. I don't think you would need an upgrade, however. If there are some tone problems I would suggest blocking the trem to only dive. You wouldn't need an Ibanez trem for that, though.
Millian, I would have agreed awhile back, but if you're going to put a floyd on something - it might as well be a Les Paul. I'm not gonna buy some pointy guitar just so I can do dive bombs.
Gibson puts there toggle switch caps and what not in a baggy that is attached to the headstock of the guitar when it is purchased brand new. Maybe he just didn't put it on :D
Actually, Les Paul was created to give it's dense and deep sound and sustain and that's why it has humbuckers, pasted neck and fixed bridge! Tremolo bar keeps bridge on small distance from the guitar body, not pressed to the deck which is not completely solid position and it takes a part of this density from the sound which is not a problem for blues or funk and such styles, but for metal, especially classic rock and metal it really matters. Slash and Gus n' Roses are the best examples. Though it might only matters for the guitarists themselves or very musically literate listeners, most of the listeners wouldn't really care even if you will play metal on a stratocaster with singles. Still even if this tiny details of your sound concerns only you, it matters because if you want to play music, firstly you just have to completely enjoy it yourself! Personaly I love LP's for their unique sound, that depth, that density, that... don't even know how to explain... soft power and a bit husky and gruffy sound, both on clean and distortion! And that's why I would never set tremolo bars into it, well when I'll buy my own LP anyway (for now I can play only on my guitar teacher LP, and sadly, not so often=( ) !)))
You mean the edge 3 tremolo? Those are absolutely terrible, they go way out of tune so quickly with even light usage of the tremolo. Don't waste your time, Floyd rose is the best tremolo you're going to get.
I’ve had this guitar for four years, and just realized today that i could pull the pots on it! Damn it!
time to see the doctor kid
Thank you for actually demoing the Floyd!!!
I have one of these guitars and the neck is just fantastic,my favorite guitar:)
wait till it breaks, you know its a gibson
Staying tune perfectly

I got mine ain't played nothing better

My friend Greg has the very first Les Paul with a Floyd Rose tremolo. He played in a band with him when Floyd asked if he could try something.
No mention of the fact that they needed to design a new neck joint so the neck comes straight off the body instead of back at an angle like it normally does with a stop tailpiece.
amazing playing dude, and what a guitar man!
Every other vid I watch, they were like " it has a Floyd Rose" but didn't demo it worth a 💩 thanks for the legit demo and nice playing

I put an Emg 81 and 85 on a les Paul standard from 1985. Is this bad?

My dream!

hi, what about the sustain?it´s the same than Traditional or Standard Les Paul?

commanded to put the tremolo?
Yep, that's exactly what it is. The video is correctly labelled now.
not so fast, Les Paul standard with FR is more like it
Does anyone know if I could install a Floyd Rose on a Goldtop?
Don't know if you are still looking to do it, but it is possible.

What the price?
2.500 / 4.000
Does the tremolo consistently stays in tune?
wtf dude, it is floyd rose, not a fucking bigsby...
@@dzebr Not all Floyds are equal!!!!!! I hear the FR "Original" is most stable model. Is this true?
Either floyd rose or bigsby
Millian, I would have agreed awhile back, but if you're going to put a floyd on something - it might as well be a Les Paul. I'm not gonna buy some pointy guitar just so I can do dive bombs.
so this is a Gibson Les Paul Axcess?
Why? Floyd Rose is the best tremolo out there.
He put a floyd on a Les Paul back in the day
Gibson puts there toggle switch caps and what not in a baggy that is attached to the headstock of the guitar when it is purchased brand new. Maybe he just didn't put it on :D
Someone stole the plastic tip off the toggle switch on that one
Your voice sound so similar to Jay's from Frenzal Rhomb.
i thought it sounded more like Straus Khan speaking Urdu
tbh, the coil tap on this guitar doesn't seem to do much
Its coil split. Not coil tapped.
If gibson dicrease the price of every guitar than imagine the increase in owners...!!!!!
This would have been Eddie Van Halens if it had have been out back then haha.
Eddi tried this guitar and hates it, no sustain compared to other les pauls and specially strats with humbuckers
you should be able to...
wish this was in English
not into the coil taps. who wants a Les paul with single coils lol or plastic parts..
I guess its a Dot Royale
4:34.. Slightly outta tune... He corrected it... ( : Busted, he smiled after it.. .

If you have to change strings on a floyd rose it's quite a drag. On other tremolo's it's easier.
haha "F Hole"... xD
Lmfao a floyd rose on a les paul
Why not? I see so many people talking down on putting a FR on a LP but not one logical reason why not
Alucard check out DRI Live at the RITZ that guitar player playing one for thrash metal pretty impressive
Rush james lifeson

che schifo
Korean floyd Rose....................a disappointment for a US made Custom Gibson........
then there is no point of buying this guitar.
