It will be calculated based on the number of cards after the opponent adds them, but it will be very risky so you have to calculate when to use them to avoid that situation.
example : total card is 12 and u choose lv8 then 4+4+4 is correct, if ur opp add a card which mean total card is 13, then u just banish 5+5+3 then the effect still can be resolve in case the different between the total and the chosen monster is bigger than 1 : your highest rank xyz monster -> the additional eff will be canceled 2 : the total of cards > the total of level/rank -> the eff of cannon will be canceled ( when u or ur opp got a lot of card from maxx c )
