Unfortunately no, I long snapped all through high school an was the first one down the field. I also played defense tackle on defense an played full back and tail back on offense, with the occasional chance to give an indirect snap for a huge run gain. The gators may be bad, but if you got skill, you got skill.
As a former long snapper and being recruited specifically for long snapping, this video warms my heart. My wife laughs every time I point out the long snapper. Lmao
I especially like the part where the narrator creams his panties because the long-snapper accomplish nothing except high-fiving the one player who actually made a great play in this video, downing the ball inside the five.
not only is this video so cool but this dude is gonna get the media coverage that is truly deserved, OH MY GOD HE NAILED HIM, these are plays that get players drafted
That’s how you play your role no matter what it is. To help your team. Shouts out to big Rocco. Let’s go babyyyyy. Love to see it. Special teams is the shit.
Why? just because he doesn't get blocked? hahahaha If he was getting any meaningful HITS on the opposing team he would have a body or 2 on him. Still got whooped!
I've been telling people for over 50 Years that Special Teams are 1/3 of the game . This guy just proved my hypothesis and turned it into Law . The Punting Game this year has been phenomenal all across College Football. Now if we can get Coaches to invest time in Field Goal Kickers instead of just pulling random students out of the bleachers.
Miami fan here, literally was watching this game and saw the ONE good part of UFs team and was thinking, "Damn, Issac probably would enjoy this one facet of their game". Because the rest of the team was trash. Outside of special teams. 😆
Oh, yes they do... this was just the beginning of a long, brutal schedule, LOL! 😆 That said, maybe their freshman QB phenom can pump some life into them... they NEED it.
Before coming across this channel, I’d never really care about special teams plays. But now I still don’t, I just sometimes see one of these in recommended and click.
Hey Isaac you should make a video about the BYU punter back in the day, Matt Payne. Specifically his game against Boise State, I forget the year but I’ve never seen a punter fold a returner like that. Look it up.
He was the only player on our team that I saw that had any enthusiasm or heart for the entire game. He plays with the enthusiasm of a Gator fan. In all kinds of weather…
Ngl I clicked on this video only to talk shit but this is actually the exact type of attitude you want on your team too bad more guys don’t carry this type of heart in they’re chest
I did the long snapping when I played. Offense, defense, and snapper. Back in the old days we barely came off the field but I must say snapping was very tricky. Back then you would have a man right on your nose waiting to explode your head the second you snapped the ball. I used to have nightmares about snapping the ball over my punters head and having no where to hide. It’s a tough position. But Miami beat the Gators like their red head step child. It was ugly.
You know what else was insane.....the final score. Old Billy Napier should start hording packing boxes. He will be lucky to finish the year with the Gators if they have another losing season and fail to make a bowl again and with the Gators schedule it a big possibility.
I love how he uses the umpire as a pick. Hey, U has to stand somewhere, right? That's why I like the play action pass: The umpire doesn't read pass so doesn't move up to the line, so is in great position to use as a pick by a tight end crossing.
It's not surprising that Miami didn't cover the long snapper. Miami is bunk football, all bluster, no substance. But as we all know -- the gunners are covered, but the long snapper can leave as soon as he snaps. No other lineman can be down field until the ball is kicked. If you are a long snapper and you are NOT the first down the field, they should get another long snapper ...
I really don't know if this is satire or not. But after a few punts, every time you show a punt return point of the other team score kept going up. 😂🤣😂 Guess those punts really didn't help.
thats because the long and field goals snappers are not allowed to be touched at the line, so they get a running start untouched for the first 5 to ten yards. If they were blocked at the line of scrimmage that would never happen.
And why did Rocco have so many chances? Because the Noles were whupping his gators all game long and forcing them to punt so many times. Not sure why this ended up in my feed. YT can not possibly know that I was a HS long snapper 50 years ago, and the one time I made the tackle watching films the next morning, the assistant coach who disliked me (I was a TE/WR) said Dang, ____ had to make the tackle.

Big assist goes to the UF offense for being inept enough to give him this many opportunities.
It really was a team effort!
Imagine explaining to the coach in footage later why you literally didn't even move while the guy you were supposed to block ran past you.

I never really paid much attention either until I saw Steve Tasker play a billion years ago. omg, he was insane.
Impressive effort by Underwood

The one highlight the Gators had was their long snapper??????? It's gonna be a long season!
Special teams was the best unit by far, which is kind of amazing because they were easily the worst the past two years...
Imagine watching your favorite team and hoping and praying they go 3 and out so that you can watch their long-snapper demolish returners 😂
i mean i watched the whole muschamp era hoping the offense would get off the field so that maybe the defense could score
That's hilarious that they were finally like "oh, maybe we should block the long snapper". 😆
At least one Gator showed up to ball out.

For real.. the hit wasn’t even that crazy. Wasted 2 min with that cringe build up.
looked pretty close to targeting from what I saw.

When your long snapper is the most feared player on the team. Your team has issues.
LSU kicker had a great tackle on kickoff this week, he might have a couple more this year
