Just tell Father the truth that you freed the synths) After that, getting the ending where the Minutemen is at peace with the Railroad and BoS is very straightfoward.

According to some rumors Deathclaws were going to be practical suits like the Power Armor, but the showrunner didnt want to show them immediately because he wanted to make the deathclaws look and feel menacing but didnt have the time. makes sense, he probably saw several survivors come and go from the vault, especially the vault dweller and the chosen one, even if he didn't interact with them, so maybe he notice, people that can survive or are lucky to survive the first days on the wasteland can become hardened survivors.

Maybe, or maybe enough time in the wasteland makes someone stop giving a fuck, never getting rid of the rads, and turning. Considering he was like her, pretty pure and trying to do the right thing, once upon a time. Not initially giving up in terms of choosing to be a dick, but giving up trying to survive, or be healthy or whatever. Maybe then the progression of turning into a ghoul, then having everyone treat you like shit(which everyone does to ghouls in FO), then THAT makes them turn into an asshole.
My personal theories are 1. The legion will be prominent in season 2. I base this on the reality that in the games the brotherhood uses Latin phrases and Roman style rankings. In the show they don’t really do that. To me that is the show altering it so they can bring in the legion for season 2 and not confuse nongaming fans with multiple factions having Roman influence. 2. I believe they’re hiding the enclave armour for 2 reasons. One it will be a hell of a reveal when it comes. And secondly it prevents non game fans from getting confused between who’s who when it comes to the brotherhood and enclave. 3. I believe the reason cooper only mentions his family at the end is because that will be the quest of the second season, and each season like each game has its own specific quest. With sometimes side quests being connected to other games. Lucy’s dad being a side quest in season 2. 3. I’m 100% certain that super mutants will be around in season 2. I believe the enclave will be using them like frank horrigan. Which maybe how they bring in the enclave power armour. 4. Thadius is definitely gonna be a mutant. He’s 100% given the FEV.
my only issue in all of that would be the frank horrigan thing ngl, would ruin the uniqueness of frank and not making him as special as he is. (Being the only behemoth in power armor.)

They’ve always hinted at Vault Tek being the ones to drop it because we never knew “which country did it” but Vault Tech was as big as America pretty much, think of it as bigger then Amazon right? I think that it was meant to be our confirmation that they did drop it, as well as not making vault tech this Unidentified Faceless Corporation as it used to be. If they dropped the bombs then it kinda adds them into thT Big faction group of Enclave, BOS, NCR and some others. Technically it’s not confirmed but then pretty much saying “We will drop the bombs ourselves if need be” means that they are either Responsible or they just hadn’t dropped there bombs yet but we’re going to regardless of on the war started or not. And to me that’s just as evil because who’s to say they didn’t at least fire back or Nuke certain areas on purpose themselves

My assumption with the lack of laser weapons is that they didn't want things to get TOO sci-fi too fast. Introducing laser weapons without some buildup for the audience would make a non-Fallout fan confused why suddenly things have turned into Star Wars. We'll probably get a proper introduction to them with the Brotherhood next season. Y'know, like Maximus trying one out in a firing range. From there, they'll start popping up everywhere.

the ghouls gun fires little fat "tiny nuke" bullets that even say "boom" on them, they pack a big punch and then explode afterwards, you can see it shoot through people and explode behind them or when it impacts a leg and explodes a second or so later. later on in the show he switches to his short rifle and uses a weird drill bullet with that, probably some kind of armor piercing.
The Ghoul's pistol could pretty much be chalked up to a cowboy-inspired gyro jet of some sorts, and before anybody jumps on my case about the fact that the shells are left in the revolver, there's very little chance that each and every one of those projectiles can cause that much expansion/damage to surfaces. The alternative option is that there is some sort of way he manufactures the rounds almost like interchangeable shotgun slugs that serve different purposes (The ones on his bandolier). If y'all disagree or find alternatives in a real life weapon, PLEASE let me know!
also them having 3 main characters they focus heavily on that are all incredibly different in terms of stats and character reminds me of the original fallout games having 3 different preset characters you could choose from that were all distinct builds and had completely different backgrounds

It’s a 4 shot revolver chambered with what look like small shotgun shells, but the projectile looks and behaves like a micro missile with the devastating power on impact it provides. And considering the size and weight of that pistol and the fact that cylinder of that size only holds 4 shots, I’d say it checks out.
I would say vault tech did not confirm to drop the bomb, all it actually did is show they wanted to. They could very well been planning to drop them then someone else beat them to it.
I'd agree but most of the staff got safely to vaults to be frozen. However, there are loose ends and a sloppy execution, like House not getting his chip pre war (I'm sure he had the influence to delay it all by a day), or some vaults not being finished. It's possible that vault hype was dying and they had to before they got cut or something but idk.

I think the Ghoul's archetype is "Villain." Remember the torture, the selling someone else to a robot to be parted out, and the general casual murder at any opportunity if you need help figuring it out. How would VT drop bombs? With their vast submarine fleet? With their bomber fleet? With their massive fleet of tiny trucks (imagine the Megaton bomb inside one of those). And Shady sands is even less plausible. Come on, how would that work. There are no suitcase city destroying bombs in fallout.
I agree with giving the ghoul a higher charisma. I never saw charisma as 'how much people like you,' I always saw it as how well you can make people see your perapective and/or change their mind. And The Ghoul is *intimidating* as all hell. Plus, he makes almost nothing but good points in conversations, and he's convincing even when he's not being sinister.
It’s a brave take for sure. It was the first Elder Scrolls game I ever played. I bought it used for the Xbox 360 and it was one one of the few times I was truly enthralled by a game. I’m a NV fanboy, but Oblivion also has a very special place in my heart.
Oblivion is massive and the questlines have multiple steps, makes the world feel really fun. One memorable quest is when you randomly and inevitably get the vampire disease, after not curing it for a certain amount of days. And it triggers a whole questline learning more about the noble lord guy who is secretly a vamp

They took a good viewing audience and made sure that it got smaller as time went on by not giving the audience what they wanted and pushing political messages. The last thing fallout needs is the star trek treatment where you go looking for a "modern audience" that doesn't exist and instead push most people away. Viewing numbers are way down on trek.
For Season 2 of Fallout: I think it should introduce a new character who is already used to the wasteland (like the main characters of FO2 and New Vegas) and have that person be a former member of any faction that recently exiled the character out of the faction (similar to how Veronica got exiled in New Vegas for having different ideals) and have that character intertwined with Lucy and The Ghoul chasing down Hank.
The Prydwen doesn’t automatically mean the BOS ending was the canon one either if it was a mistake but it could still be a Minutemen ending to Fallout 4 because thats the only faction where you don’t have to attack any other after the Institute. So it could be that they finally left the Boston area on their own too with the Minutemen at large in Boston.
The Ghoul's revolver looks like a revolver shotgun without the stock but the shells coming out are more likely 45-70 rounds which are very powerful big game rounds but not as lethal as a shotgun
The Frag-12HE shotgun round is probably what that ghoul is firing. The closest real-world weapon would be a sawed-off 18 gauge shotgun with reduced tube, rifling, and pistol grip. Whether or not your wrist would shatter is another question. But he's a radioactive zombie, so.
A lot of people are suggesting that in Season 2, The Courier's gonna show up. While I love that idea- I'd love to see an ranger-armor clad wanderer simply whistling along to a pip-boy- I don't think they'll show up. Never mind having to create a 'canon' identity for The Courier, potentially upsetting more fans- no, there's another reason, with its foot already in the door. I think that- no matter the 'canon' ending of New Vegas- the Courier left the Mojave. A lot of people like to say "oh but we'd take over! but we'd rule vegas independent! oh but we'd be mr house's right hand! oh but we're the legion's best figher!", but you need to remember: The Courier is a Courier. They're going to leave. Get on with their life. They may have seen this mess through to the end, but by no means are they bound to Vegas- they simply traveled there for a job, and then they finished it and kept going. New messages to deliver. New paths to walk, new jobs to take. Sure, a lot of this is based on what we feel about our PC- which is based on ourselves, at least in some small way- but through a lot of the Courier's dialogue, we get a list of places they've been. New Reno. Utah. Circle Junction.Vault City. They've been all over for their jobs, and I'm pretty damn sure that suggests a lot of wanderlust in their heart. They're gonna wanna keep walking. Maybe find out about Chicago, go see Illinois for themselves. Sure- they were hired by the Mojave Express for this job. But there's other courier networks out there. Always more roads to walk. Always more paths to take. And in the end, I think that they can walk away- and there's not many folks who can proudly say that. ...That being said, the Divide is pretty close by. And in the flipping coin of Fallout endings, who knows? Perhaps the last survivor of the Twisted Hairs made it out alive.

The Ghouls pistol seems to be similar to a Gyro jet pistol basically the bullets themselves are self propelled missiles. Though his seem a bit more explosive than the real world thing. Especially when on the close ups the bullets look like little bombs.
Vault tech still may not have dropped the bombs. How come so many top employees were caught off guard in the games. We still don't have a definite answer yet on that imo
I don't think they did, they may have planned to, sure, but the woman who was sat in the meeting discussing it and how she wanted to protect the future for her daughter, left her daughter out there when the bombs fell. I assume China found out that the U.S had been doing biological weapons research (FEV) which was illegal under international law, and decided to launch a preemptive strike.
The ghouls gun appears to be some sort of lever action shotgun. We see him shoot several different types of rounds. There's buck shot (I think he shot a couple of rounds of double ought buck), the one we can clearly see looking like a little nuclear bomb and used in the town fight are explosive rounds that penetrate a target before exploding and the final one I saw was air piercing sabo rounds (like what they use in modern tanks) which is what he used to pierce the power armor in its weak point...
I don't think Shady Sands was nuked. When Lucy and Max were at the crater, her Pip-Boy wasn't ticking from radiation. I think it was a conventional bomb, like a MOAB or something.
The ghoul doc in the underworld was doing ghoul research, specifically into how they are made and why. That's an easy out for who made the feral resistance drug

How the ghouls weird gun thing works. It's bassiclly a tarus judge at home it can fire 45 long colt and 410 shotgun shells. It's not great but I'd take it over a pipe pistol.

my theory about thaddeus is that the serum that the snake oil salesman gave him actually triggered the healing factor mutation from fallout 76. 300% increase in healing while not in combat but chems are 55% less effective.

It is not confirmed that val-tec dropped the bomb. It confirmed that valt-tec would drop the bomb if they had to. I feel most people have pointed out that if valt-tec did drop the bomb, their daughter would not have been at the party with her dad. That makes me think they didn't ... or at least they didn't intentionally. But it's also possible that, if they did drop it, Barb was kept in the dark. But she seems high enough up in the company to get the warning.
The Pacifist Minutemen ending also has the Prydwen surviving, but I'd prefer the Brotherhood ending just because Liberty Prime might show up. Also, Hancock became a ghoul because of a drug he took, so Thaddeus turning into one is not without precedent

The army is no where near as bad as the brotherhood of steel in this show, but generally what you said it true. Even the seemingly mean soldiers day to day will have your back in the field. Yes there are plenty of mean people in the army but I have also met some of my best friends while i was in as well. Personally, I think the army is better as a stepping stone rather than a full career but everyone has their own thoughts. Anyway, dope video man! The show was great!!! It was full of really tasteful game references and fan service that really kept it in the universe, and played into the viewer's/player's experience. Especially the the sound effects worked.

I think the ghoul serum is a placebo effect, some ghouls are just fine forever and some go feral immediately, but now that the ghoul knows no more serum is being made I think that's why he suddenly towards the end had that kick to want to find his family like he's running out of time before he thinks he'll go feral, cause if murdering people is what makes you feral I'm pretty sure our ghoul companions would've gone feral mid battle after the first few fights lol

I agree with those rankings on Bethesda games. Im not sure if youve ever watched his content but TheEpicNate has always done great Bethesda Breakdowns. Pretty major fallout fan here I was kid when fallout 3 dropped and man that shit was heavy af I didn’t play it in depth til I was older cuz the landscape and mood affected me in a way I can’t explain but it was just crazy and I loved it but just had to grow up a little before I truly delved deep into the game that’s how intense the world of fallout is. I played shit tons of violent and creepy M rated games growing up so I wasn’t new to gnarly shit but fallout just hit different. I think the show is phenomenal however it has its small flaws I love the show I’m watching it for like my 3rd time haha
Fallout 4 has no canon ending. Bethesda stated in the contract for the show that the showrunners are not allowed to canonize any ending in any of the games aside from what's confirmed. By the way, the Minuteman ending can still be true, because the Minutemen don't HAVE to attack the Brotherhood, they only attack the Brotherhood if you force their hand, as a matter of fact, the Minuteman ending, when done correctly, will only end in the destruction of the Institute. There's unique dialogue where both the Railroad and Brotherhood are impressed that you used the Minuteman to end the Institute. You do have to join both, though. Cooper's statement to Lucy was in reference to the fact that she's going to become a killer just like him, not the fact that she'll become a Ghoul.

My personal theories are
1. The legion will be prominent in season 2. I base this on the reality that in the games the brotherhood uses Latin phrases and Roman style rankings. In the show they don’t really do that. To me that is the show altering it so they can bring in the legion for season 2 and not confuse nongaming fans with multiple factions having Roman influence.
2. I believe they’re hiding the enclave armour for 2 reasons. One it will be a hell of a reveal when it comes. And secondly it prevents non game fans from getting confused between who’s who when it comes to the brotherhood and enclave.
3. I believe the reason cooper only mentions his family at the end is because that will be the quest of the second season, and each season like each game has its own specific quest. With sometimes side quests being connected to other games. Lucy’s dad being a side quest in season 2.
3. I’m 100% certain that super mutants will be around in season 2. I believe the enclave will be using them like frank horrigan. Which maybe how they bring in the enclave power armour.
4. Thadius is definitely gonna be a mutant. He’s 100% given the FEV.
my only issue in all of that would be the frank horrigan thing ngl, would ruin the uniqueness of frank and not making him as special as he is. (Being the only behemoth in power armor.)

They’ve always hinted at Vault Tek being the ones to drop it because we never knew “which country did it” but Vault Tech was as big as America pretty much, think of it as bigger then Amazon right? I think that it was meant to be our confirmation that they did drop it, as well as not making vault tech this Unidentified Faceless Corporation as it used to be. If they dropped the bombs then it kinda adds them into thT Big faction group of Enclave, BOS, NCR and some others. Technically it’s not confirmed but then pretty much saying “We will drop the bombs ourselves if need be” means that they are either Responsible or they just hadn’t dropped there bombs yet but we’re going to regardless of on the war started or not. And to me that’s just as evil because who’s to say they didn’t at least fire back or Nuke certain areas on purpose themselves

My assumption with the lack of laser weapons is that they didn't want things to get TOO sci-fi too fast. Introducing laser weapons without some buildup for the audience would make a non-Fallout fan confused why suddenly things have turned into Star Wars.
We'll probably get a proper introduction to them with the Brotherhood next season. Y'know, like Maximus trying one out in a firing range. From there, they'll start popping up everywhere.

the ghouls gun fires little fat "tiny nuke" bullets that even say "boom" on them, they pack a big punch and then explode afterwards, you can see it shoot through people and explode behind them or when it impacts a leg and explodes a second or so later. later on in the show he switches to his short rifle and uses a weird drill bullet with that, probably some kind of armor piercing.
From what I've seen and read the ghoul's revolver is a rotating shotgun with the barrel and stock sawed off

The Ghoul's pistol could pretty much be chalked up to a cowboy-inspired gyro jet of some sorts, and before anybody jumps on my case about the fact that the shells are left in the revolver, there's very little chance that each and every one of those projectiles can cause that much expansion/damage to surfaces. The alternative option is that there is some sort of way he manufactures the rounds almost like interchangeable shotgun slugs that serve different purposes (The ones on his bandolier). If y'all disagree or find alternatives in a real life weapon, PLEASE let me know!
also them having 3 main characters they focus heavily on that are all incredibly different in terms of stats and character reminds me of the original fallout games having 3 different preset characters you could choose from that were all distinct builds and had completely different backgrounds

It’s a 4 shot revolver chambered with what look like small shotgun shells, but the projectile looks and behaves like a micro missile with the devastating power on impact it provides. And considering the size and weight of that pistol and the fact that cylinder of that size only holds 4 shots, I’d say it checks out.

I would say vault tech did not confirm to drop the bomb, all it actually did is show they wanted to. They could very well been planning to drop them then someone else beat them to it.
I'd agree but most of the staff got safely to vaults to be frozen. However, there are loose ends and a sloppy execution, like House not getting his chip pre war (I'm sure he had the influence to delay it all by a day), or some vaults not being finished. It's possible that vault hype was dying and they had to before they got cut or something but idk.

I think the Ghoul's archetype is "Villain." Remember the torture, the selling someone else to a robot to be parted out, and the general casual murder at any opportunity if you need help figuring it out. How would VT drop bombs? With their vast submarine fleet? With their bomber fleet? With their massive fleet of tiny trucks (imagine the Megaton bomb inside one of those). And Shady sands is even less plausible. Come on, how would that work. There are no suitcase city destroying bombs in fallout.
I agree with giving the ghoul a higher charisma. I never saw charisma as 'how much people like you,' I always saw it as how well you can make people see your perapective and/or change their mind. And The Ghoul is *intimidating* as all hell. Plus, he makes almost nothing but good points in conversations, and he's convincing even when he's not being sinister.

It’s a brave take for sure. It was the first Elder Scrolls game I ever played. I bought it used for the Xbox 360 and it was one one of the few times I was truly enthralled by a game. I’m a NV fanboy, but Oblivion also has a very special place in my heart.
Oblivion is massive and the questlines have multiple steps, makes the world feel really fun. One memorable quest is when you randomly and inevitably get the vampire disease, after not curing it for a certain amount of days. And it triggers a whole questline learning more about the noble lord guy who is secretly a vamp

No. They screwed up star trek really really bad. They took a good viewing audience and made sure that it got smaller as time went on by not giving the audience what they wanted and pushing political messages. The last thing fallout needs is the star trek treatment where you go looking for a "modern audience" that doesn't exist and instead push most people away. Viewing numbers are way down on trek.
For Season 2 of Fallout: I think it should introduce a new character who is already used to the wasteland (like the main characters of FO2 and New Vegas) and have that person be a former member of any faction that recently exiled the character out of the faction (similar to how Veronica got exiled in New Vegas for having different ideals) and have that character intertwined with Lucy and The Ghoul chasing down Hank.
The Prydwen doesn’t automatically mean the BOS ending was the canon one either if it was a mistake but it could still be a Minutemen ending to Fallout 4 because thats the only faction where you don’t have to attack any other after the Institute. So it could be that they finally left the Boston area on their own too with the Minutemen at large in Boston.
Loved the series personally, im hyped for season 2!

The Ghoul's revolver looks like a revolver shotgun without the stock but the shells coming out are more likely 45-70 rounds which are very powerful big game rounds but not as lethal as a shotgun
The Frag-12HE shotgun round is probably what that ghoul is firing. The closest real-world weapon would be a sawed-off 18 gauge shotgun with reduced tube, rifling, and pistol grip. Whether or not your wrist would shatter is another question. But he's a radioactive zombie, so.
A lot of people are suggesting that in Season 2, The Courier's gonna show up. While I love that idea- I'd love to see an ranger-armor clad wanderer simply whistling along to a pip-boy- I don't think they'll show up. Never mind having to create a 'canon' identity for The Courier, potentially upsetting more fans- no, there's another reason, with its foot already in the door.
I think that- no matter the 'canon' ending of New Vegas- the Courier left the Mojave.
A lot of people like to say "oh but we'd take over! but we'd rule vegas independent! oh but we'd be mr house's right hand! oh but we're the legion's best figher!", but you need to remember: The Courier is a Courier. They're going to leave. Get on with their life. They may have seen this mess through to the end, but by no means are they bound to Vegas- they simply traveled there for a job, and then they finished it and kept going. New messages to deliver. New paths to walk, new jobs to take.
Sure, a lot of this is based on what we feel about our PC- which is based on ourselves, at least in some small way- but through a lot of the Courier's dialogue, we get a list of places they've been. New Reno. Utah. Circle Junction.Vault City. They've been all over for their jobs, and I'm pretty damn sure that suggests a lot of wanderlust in their heart. They're gonna wanna keep walking. Maybe find out about Chicago, go see Illinois for themselves.
Sure- they were hired by the Mojave Express for this job. But there's other courier networks out there. Always more roads to walk. Always more paths to take. And in the end, I think that they can walk away- and there's not many folks who can proudly say that.
...That being said, the Divide is pretty close by. And in the flipping coin of Fallout endings, who knows? Perhaps the last survivor of the Twisted Hairs made it out alive.

The Ghouls pistol seems to be similar to a Gyro jet pistol basically the bullets themselves are self propelled missiles. Though his seem a bit more explosive than the real world thing. Especially when on the close ups the bullets look like little bombs.
Vault tech still may not have dropped the bombs. How come so many top employees were caught off guard in the games. We still don't have a definite answer yet on that imo
I don't think they did, they may have planned to, sure, but the woman who was sat in the meeting discussing it and how she wanted to protect the future for her daughter, left her daughter out there when the bombs fell.

The ghouls gun appears to be some sort of lever action shotgun. We see him shoot several different types of rounds. There's buck shot (I think he shot a couple of rounds of double ought buck), the one we can clearly see looking like a little nuclear bomb and used in the town fight are explosive rounds that penetrate a target before exploding and the final one I saw was air piercing sabo rounds (like what they use in modern tanks) which is what he used to pierce the power armor in its weak point...
Charisma in fallout usually works more in a persuasion sense, you might not like his complexion, but you're down right for his magmatism

my theory about thaddeus is that the serum that the snake oil salesman gave him actually triggered the healing factor mutation from fallout 76. 300% increase in healing while not in combat but chems are 55% less effective.

It is not confirmed that val-tec dropped the bomb. It confirmed that valt-tec would drop the bomb if they had to. I feel most people have pointed out that if valt-tec did drop the bomb, their daughter would not have been at the party with her dad. That makes me think they didn't ... or at least they didn't intentionally. But it's also possible that, if they did drop it, Barb was kept in the dark. But she seems high enough up in the company to get the warning.
The Pacifist Minutemen ending also has the Prydwen surviving, but I'd prefer the Brotherhood ending just because Liberty Prime might show up. Also, Hancock became a ghoul because of a drug he took, so Thaddeus turning into one is not without precedent

The army is no where near as bad as the brotherhood of steel in this show, but generally what you said it true. Even the seemingly mean soldiers day to day will have your back in the field. Yes there are plenty of mean people in the army but I have also met some of my best friends while i was in as well. Personally, I think the army is better as a stepping stone rather than a full career but everyone has their own thoughts. Anyway, dope video man! Pretty major fallout fan here I was kid when fallout 3 dropped and man that shit was heavy af I didn’t play it in depth til I was older cuz the landscape and mood affected me in a way I can’t explain but it was just crazy and I loved it but just had to grow up a little before I truly delved deep into the game that’s how intense the world of fallout is. I played shit tons of violent and creepy M rated games growing up so I wasn’t new to gnarly shit but fallout just hit different. I think the show is phenomenal however it has its small flaws I love the show I’m watching it for like my 3rd time haha
Fallout 4 has no canon ending. Bethesda stated in the contract for the show that the showrunners are not allowed to canonize any ending in any of the games aside from what's confirmed. By the way, the Minuteman ending can still be true, because the Minutemen don't HAVE to attack the Brotherhood, they only attack the Brotherhood if you force their hand, as a matter of fact, the Minuteman ending, when done correctly, will only end in the destruction of the Institute. There's unique dialogue where both the Railroad and Brotherhood are impressed that you used the Minuteman to end the Institute. You do have to join both, though. Cooper's statement to Lucy was in reference to the fact that she's going to become a killer just like him, not the fact that she'll become a Ghoul.
