0:02 I forgot about this casting it is totally hilarious that Nicolas cage is playing Dracula
Thanks for putting this out there. It's good to see other perspectives.
To be specific, ranking CAPTIVE WILD WOMAN above the Chaney films is a borderline shooting offense in most Universal fan circles, and you're literally the first person I've ever seen who would rate Van Helsing above the cornerstone films of the 1930s (and 1940s if you count THE WOLF MAN) - except for folks who eschew and black and white films. Conversely, your high ranking of the Karloff/Lugosi BLACK CAT shows perception, though ranking the 1941 version in the top half of the corpus is kind of a headscratcher. Regardless, kudos for thinking for yourself.
@@studogable Appreciate the perspective and feedback! It took about a year to simply binge them all. We commentated over every single one and edited together the highlights.

@@HotQualityContent I agree on Dracula Untold because I really think it shouldn’t have been made so I prefer Nicholas Cage’s Dracula movie over this, also if there was another Dracula movie who would you go for Mads Mikkelsen, Sebastian Stan or Daniel Bruhl?
I don’t agree with all your comments but overall I like video.
Frankenstein is 10/10.
Yes....
Great Video man
I'll get you to watch all 14 Rathbone Holmes movies eventually lol
What's your opinion on Spanish Dracula (1931), also by Universal?
You missed the mad ghoul I think.
There was a 1919 Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde that was made by a branch of Universal.
Son Of Frankenstein 9/10
Sacrilege for you to give Chaneys Phantom such a low score smh..
I completely agree. I know taste is subjective and everything but my god is this the worst ranking for these films I've ever seen, and how exactly do the Fraser Mummy films get ranked so low when Van Helsing is at the top! A film with all the goofier aspects of those films ramped up to 11!
Unironically, hyped for Nicholas Cage Dracula
I love how you just start saying "Mummy sequel!" and move on after like two of them. 😄
They're VERY similar. MUMMY'S HAND is actually a reboot and not a sequel. TOMB, GHOST, and CURSE are all pretty cookie-cutter.
@@studogable oh I've seen them.
@@studogable Tomb is so cookie cutter that a whole quarter of the movie is reused footage.
@@KiramidHead yep. Shows how much confidence they had in the impression that HAND had.
Someone should fuse "Universal Classic Monsters" and "Modern Horror Icons" together to create terrifying new forms. 😈
(e.g., Frankenstein x Jason Voorhees = JASONSTEIN).
Invisible Man ‘32 9/10
33*
So far the 1930’s invisible man and the original mummy are my favorites. The invisible man returns is also great. Enjoyed creatures from the black lagoon. 1943 phantom of the opera is good but not great
The Mummy's Hand is a definite 9. And Bride > all; it's an 11.
Van Helsing? Oh no!👎
Dracula 1979? Oh yes!👍
Lose interest when you go from best films counting down to worst. Try reversing your order.
Can’t connect that you love Van Helsing, as I do, but don’t like the first two Stephen Sommer Mummy movies.
You’re kidding on the third mummy movie, right? Abominable snowmen acting like
NFL football refs judging field goals?!?! Nothing but embarrassing. You need to revisit!
Really disagree with your high ranking of the modern indivisible man soap opera movie which is completely forgotten as you exit the theater.
Viewers,
Do not listen to this guy. He is clearly
Not a fan of these movies. Anyone who disrespects Dracula’s Daughter is not someone whose opinion I would take seriously.
This video and this channel are very skippable.
Viewers.
Do not listen to this guy. He is clearly gatekeeping, which goes against having an original opinion.
