Pusher Locomotive at Semmering Locomotive WLE 71

The Westphalian Semmering, with its gradients and narrow radii, is a real obstacle in the heavy stone traffic of the Westphalian state railway. A locomotive often has to push the train up to the top of the pass. The film shows the process from the arrival of the train from the quarries in Warstein, the starting of the pusher locomotive to the separation from the train at the highest point.
