One huge tip that I've personally found to be effective is to throw a good amount of outside pitches, This is VERY EFFECTIVE if your opponent is hitting everything inside early and on time (a majority of people practice inside pitches and dont expect outside ones). I am very effective throwing a changeup outside and they will roll over it. This also makes your opponent slow their bat speed down so that you can come back inside and get them late on your fastballs.
I've found using pitchers off pitches as their number one works really well. I.E. Britton's slider is a nasty pitch and most people aren't expecting you to throw almost exclusively sliders. Most of the time they'll be way, way too early expecting the sinker.

But sometimes I let bad pitches like dots sinkers to wait for something more in the middle, but if I’m in 2 strikes just go survival mode
