Smart tups Andrew. I stay 10 miles from another Glen Affric, but on the other side of the world in Scotland. Some of my partner's ancestors were shepherds in Affric in the 1800's and were recruited to go over to New Zealand. Small world.

@Kiwi Farmer Matamata,alot earlier country then yours,plus by been early lambing doesn't have your lambing percentage, it's all a balancing act for different areas.But Suffolk cross lambs come easily,a bit smaller,but explode.I great choice
Great length and power to those rams will definitely do the job for you. Are the crossbreds out of them ever used for breeding in new Zealand. Here in Ireland most sheep are crossbred Suffolk being the most dominate on lowland flocks. Nothing grows better than a Suffolk texel cross.
Mate along with the worm and mineral drench I should of given you some of my herbal ignite pills and ginseng powder for your rams lol. Just to make sure the boys are up to the job lol

The black face bucks look like Suffolk hamp cross we would call them in the states and the cinnamon colored bucks look like shropshires.
Great tops on them rams ,you’ll have some cracking lambs across them white ewes

Not really used for meternal breeding in NZ as they would produce a ewe which is to big. Therefore the ewe efficiency is reduced.

Yes it does effect the fences. I need to keep the gorse off the fences especially.
