The worst let's play series continues today - let me know what other cursed sims spinoffs you'd like to see - Bustin' Out and Sims 2 DS are high on my priority list, but there's even worse games to cover. For the record, I like them all
It's kind of crazy that this game featured facial hair growth, and yet we had to wait for that feature to added into a mainline Sims game until sometime this year.
The reason why they do this because of capitalism! The gamers are whales or cows and you milk them. Make them consume the content. Whatever makes the most money do it!
@@Mrchair905 Fortunately for me, EA has made it quite inhospitable to continue my Sims 4 addiction, what with their insistence on changing their client multiple times.
This game made up a good chunk of my childhood. Young me could never figure out how to get further than the third island until I worked out to find an online guide.
@@jwb_666 I wish we had more Sims style survival games though. They don't all have to be like hardcore realistic survival games. I loved the Sims spinoff games because they were literally Sims but with more focus on a theme or objective. Like Urbz (non-handheld) was all about growing your reputation around town. Castaway is either getting off the island back to civilization or staying on the island and living there forever.
I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Sims 2 Castaway and I am forever bitter that it never released on PC. Thank you so much for validating my entire childhood.
I'll never understand why EA never followed up with a proper sequel when survival games became the hottest genre of the entire industry for almost a decade.
What a strange coincidence. I just commented on your other video and here you are, once more presenting us a sparkling gem of entertainment. Now I even more want a Sims Medieval Playthrough please Mr. AA
12:39 Imagine if Nathan Drake, Lara Croft, and Indianna Jones decide not to enter the temple, despite spending countless hours trying to reach the destination, because they need to sleep first. Never mind that their enemies simultaneously are trying to enter and claim the place before anyone do. Castaway is so existentially realistic that needs are always first a foremost before achieving personal goals.
Sometimes you just need to take a nap and have a mental breakdown because you have only eaten bananas for three weeks before doing something important.
"Let's have a chat with the monkey. What in the hell could this mean?" You are definitely up there with James Rolfe as having a naturally funny way of speaking.
If you go to the new Island, I think it's called Crystal Island? and send an S.O.S, you will be abducted by aliens and when you get dumped back you'll have cans of an Alien meat in your inventory, it's a unique food stuff that you can farm there. Also, the Llama Crown you got is used to unlock a hidden door in the Obsidian Cave, it leads to a neat little place :)
I'd love to see you play Viva Pinata. It was an incredibly good game that came free with a lot of the Xbox 360 bundles way back. Presents itself as a silly kid's game (and it was) but it was actually really fun
I remember my brother ragequitting from this at some point because he did all this grinding to get up to strength to climb a single mountain and only got more perterubed as he saw the other islanders going up and down the thing with ease right in front of him
The only thing I took away from Sims Castaways on the DS was an unfathomable fear for that game and the nighttime when eyes would show up in the dark at random.
I love Castaway! I played it as a kid and didn't get far, but a few years ago I picked it up again as an adult. Being able to build actual houses and have a little sustainable community is super rewarding in the late game. The houses set on fire really easily, sadly, so once you have houses you're pretty much putting out fires every other night. I love the neckbeard twist in this video! The sims truly have rejected society and returned to monke!
I had sims 2 castaways for the PSP and the main thing I remember is how goddamn long the loading screens were, especially when you were in the late game 😂
I'm so glad you played more of this, I felt like I was the only one who loved this game and the rest of the PS2 spinoff Sims games back in the day because it's literally so fun and weird
Your channel is amazing. I love your production, whether if I'm actually watching or re-listening. I can tell when you are outwardly influenced though. But the Sims 2 castaway is one of my favorites. Glad for another episode from you 😅 Your energy is amazing. Be you big dawg 💪❤️
So many memories. I never even made it off the first island and instead just chilled with the chimps. My mom beat the game for me and I thought she was the most awesome person alive.
Can't believe you make a video of it! A friend of mine recomended playing The Sims 2 Castaway last month and I finished this game 2 weeks later! I loved it!

Oh man I remember playing this on the ps2 when I was younger, good times. I wish the sims didn’t kinda suck now, I miss these fun side games. Now it’s just endless dlc packs for 4..
Nice to see more of this :) I loved this game when I was a kid, it’s just as weird as I remember it being. Can’t remember if it was Christmas or my birthday when I got it, but I remember being an excited 10 yr old because it was the first sims game my mom let me have lol
I have such powerful memories of this game. Back when I was young and early into the gamer life. Back when my understanding of the English lexicon was still growing. I would sacrifice a goat if it meant a good remake of this game would become a reality.
I love your Sims videos Mr. AA. Funny enough i met a colleague in a fancy office building last year and we talked about your videos together 😂. Sims 2 Castaways was so fun to do co-op, it was a favourite of mine to play with my brothers. Thanks for the nostalgia trip!

I always make my home inside the cave and make a small hammock thing in each area in case one of my people need to sleep. I've never been to the lava island place, so that's a new area for me to see thanks to the video.
I remember I spent the night at my friends house for her bday, and she got this game as a gift. We played it at night, and I got scared of the monkeys. Loved the game, but the mystery of the monkeys was terrifying for 8 year old me.😅

Hi sir
Howdy
Play the hot mess of supernatural expansions I think Apartment life?. They are a minefield of weird stuff. You can recreate the wicker man
"I like them all"
Even the My Sims games? 👀
Sims 2 DS has to be the wildest sims game I've ever played, I think it's excellent. I'd love to see the cursed Sims Medieval spinoff they did
