The problem isn’t just FB it’s social media as a whole and you hit on it….most folks can talk brave but wouldn’t do it to your face. I try to get value out of all the online reviews so I can make an informed decision when it comes to future purchases. I mentioned to you I am an automotive builder/creator and honesty I think an H&S brush would be a waste of money for me for what I do….but I still want to experience using one and would probably love to have one in my collection! Thanks to folks like you I understand what may or may not be good for me. People get far to emotional about these things and need to sit back and breath……
Thanks for your support and honesty with your reviews.
Lastly, I don’t think you were over the top with the review of the Gaahleri Mobius you were just stating fact keep it up!
    👍✌️

As the old saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink! There’s jealousy playing in their comments because you are far and away the best out here! We appreciate that you can still relate with all us beginners out here and not all high and mighty on whatever level you are on!! Again You are the best and most real and many of us so appreciate what you do!!

The problem is more so creators like Barbatos Rex pushing garbage and his little minions spending their money on that crap. I used to be a mod on r/airbrush and the number of mini painters who came on with problems with their cheap Chinese brushes is staggering. These Chinese brushes inevitably start loosening up and falling apart. My first round of Gaahleris are doing exactly that. I haven’t owned the Mobius long enough…

*Just* started following you on FB, LOL! Such is life. :)
DRED, you provide fun, creative, critical analysis of tools artists use. Because you stand out from other YT creators you're rewarded with criticism, especially if you make a negative comment - or don't make a positive one - about someone's cherished brand. Years ago, Marshall McLuhan wrote advertising doesn't promote products, it comforts consumers that already bought them. Your critiques may not always comfort buyers, but they're always honest & entertaining, and that's why people pay attention! 😀

After many years in the motortrade (47) doing general paintwork day to day , my passion is airbrushing but i went through a phase of painting every night and it got too much so i walk away . I've been watching your channel recently and you have inspired me to start again when it comes to brushes i've got an army off them lol ie the 63's and the sprite also a collection off iwatas. Also recently bought the new HS evolution for my Lambretta project . I'm a bit rusty now so will have to practice and your right we don't make any money doing this stuff .

Hello, I installed one sealing ring for myself, I also used contraceptive lubricant for the needle, blotted it and placed it in the airbrush, I also did not press the needle until it was tightened with a nut, and it turned out very cool, now in evolution I can draw a match lengthwise and crosswise, This is an unprecedented result, very grateful.

Keep on doing what you are doing. You have helped me. I've been through a fair number of brushes some are so so, others are duds. Iam becoming an H& S fan boy and at my age I should know better! I remember my first brush...a Humbrol thingy but you progress, listen to other people and their feed back and you make your choices. Social media can be good; but because its the wild west for the locust commentors you be your own censor. No twitter, tikok etc for me and only selective FB picks.and will slash and burn the ones that dont suit.
Finally...keep going, just remember some one will find a snippet from you, that will make a whole lot more enjoyment for them!

About glasses: Ebay offers ultra-cheap bifocals. The bottom part are like reading glasses, while the top part has no correction one way or the other. With these, I can instantly shift focus from my drawing/painting surface (which is close) to the real-life object I'm drawing (which is far). You can even get a version of these bifocals that folds up to hide in your shirt pocket.

As a guy who's just learning how to properly use an airbrush, I appreciate the knowledge you share. As with anything the tools, don't make the artist. Tools fit skills, and skills fit tools. Perfection is the tool and skill that best match each other to get what you want. As with other things I'm sure even the "perfect" brush has a short coming that the skill would like to have. As for me, I know the brushes I have purchased are much more capable than the skill I have.

Enjoyed the video! I appreciate the knowledge you share and your airbrush reviews. I build model kits, garage figure kits, in an outdoor glorified shed that is currently too cold to paint in. I've heard you comment more than once how cold your studio is this time of year; you do have an electric heater, right? I use one in my hobby room when it's at least 50 degrees outside, below that it's just too cold. Using the video camera to see inside the Mobius recently was a really original idea; I don't think anybody else is doing that {Art Workshop uses a digital microscope, but you're using something like an endoscope to actually get inside the airbrush}. I too am looking forward to Art Workshop's assessment of the new Mobius; he said it should be coming up in about 2 weeks. I'm also really excited about these new airbrush designs from H&S and now Mobius, and am looking forward to the release of the new Infinity. For me airbrushes are a hobby, one I absolutely enjoy. Keep up the good work!

Funnily enough im about to start the reviews up again lol. Theres a funny story I'll tell you one day involving a paint brand and a formaldehyde scandal that I got sucked into, even though I had nothing to do with it, that made me hang up my airbrush completely for a few years, stop making youtube vids and go get a day job (how i became a tattooist).

You should have a rant more often mate!)
Given that times are hard for everyone and you have brushes that many can only dream about, how about a review of a cheaper (20 - 30 quid) ebay brush with spare needles? Love to see if you could make improvements to it out the box, and the things you hate about it. I would be happy to spring the cost of the brush if you have a paypal account)) Deal?)) I think using a cheaper brush for once might inrroduce more people to you too.

Loved the rant Rob and pretty much everything you mentioned rings true for me, I used to make videos on creating 3D models in Photoshop 3D Max then how to write the code to make them work in games, there are still a few of them on my YT channel but some didn't like what I was doing and I got messages from them saying I wasn't doing it right and they didn't like what I was doing and my models were getting repetitive so that was it I packed it in.
No matter what you do or review there's always someone that will get on their high horse and start all this chest beating crap, FB is the worst place I've seen for this, I'm in one group where you cant ask for help about any other paint manufacture other than what the group is about, I won't mention the name but I've had posts deleted on there, it's so childish.

I don't get why he is making himself look bad? If he likes a product and someone else buys and likes the product then what's the problem? It doesn't matter what you buy, there will be issues with some samples, that's just how it is. Robert even said there was issues with the 0.2 version and addressed it. The 0.3 being far better, you can see by his tests. End of the day Gaahleri are a relatively new company and are still finding their feet, and they are willing to sort out any issues people have. I know they have been very helpful to many customers. And besides its not like their airbrushs are costing the earth. I think their prices are pretty reasonable for entry level brushes. @@TheAirbrushProfessor
