Michelle have been one of the few Miss Universe's to continue her legacy...and still is going strong its 2017 already....25 yearsago. Here back home in Namibia for a long 25 years and still going on she is the heart, brain and soul of the Michelle Mclean children trust that helps underprivileged children. Ernesto ella no es larga. When i was watching this pageant live, i was disappointed and lamented that Colombia should have won. However, as i grown up now, i m very happy Michelle won as she gave the best answer and she is elegant. Very happy for her and Namibia and many people benefiting from her works, and Ms Universe for getting it right this time 😉

Confesso que antigamente achava a Michele uma miss bonita porém comum e hoje vejo que comparadas com as misses de hoje ela daria um banho de beleza, inteligência e humildade. She didn't have any supermodel to look up to in India when she competed for Miss Universe but today also many look up to her. Even the gorgeous former Miss Universe from India Lara Dutta once told in her interview that Madhu happens to be one of her mentor's she looks up to.
I worked as a student staff in 1992 miss universe. I saw everything and everyone from the first day till end. The first day, we walked into Sirikit center, the stage was not even set up. Spent a lot of times, talking to the girls, and all of them were really nice, lively, and funny. Student staffs were allowed to hang out with these girls, including meal times, resting time. After just about a week, it was already difficult to pick a winner, coz everyone was really really deserving to win. Any of the girls could be 1992 Miss Universe. Miss Venezuela taught me a lot of Spanish. Miss Australia was the liviest, most friendly girl of all.

I had the same experience the year after, 1993 in Mexico City... those were different times, and you are right, still in 1993 I even moved with the girls in the buses, talked to them, attended the rehearsals... so I have lots of good memories of that time. What I've noticed.. the production especially the intro is very similar to 1994 in the Philippines. Both versions had their former Miss Universes saying the same thing. To the song Sawadi and Mabuhay. and both had Angela Visser as a commentator. Don't get me wrong, I love both of these editions of MU!
I was not at all surprised after Thailand hosted and present their two titleholders to the world that the Philippines would have to do that also. Remember this was pre Internet and most people do not even know the Philippines had won twice already.

The two countries had their former Miss Universes present at their Miss Universe pageants, because before the 2000s, the Miss Universe Organization always made sure to showcase the host country's former Miss Universe winners, if they had any. By 1992 and 1994, both Thailand and the Philippines had two winners. 1993 in Mexico, they already had one winner, and she was presented but was also on the judging panel.

I had the wonderful moment that I had seen all the contestants closely when they were back to the hotel after their activities. They all were more beautiful than I had seen on TV. Miss Venezuela was like an angel but she didn't smile or talk to anyone like others contestants. She went up to her room right away while the others were at the hotel lobby talking and taking photos with their fans. Miss Turks and Caicos was very suitable for Miss Congeniality as she was very friendly by talking cheerfully and making the people around her always laugh. Miss India was very nice while Miss Belgium was very sexy. I didn't pay much attention to Miss Namibia because I was very busy taking photos with other contestants which I liked more. However Michelle did her best job and won the crown at last. I really think of that wonderful memmory and never forget it.

93 and 95, India was ridiculously lucky to make top 3. Out of place. Just too many true complete beauties in those pageants, let alone the semifinalists for India to make it.

What happened to Venezuela!? With those scores I thought she had it in the bag. The Q&A is always the wild card. It's not that she did badly but at crucial points everyone else did spectacularly well, i.e. India, Colombia, Belgium. In the end, Namibia's performance was consistent and solid.

What an elegant, beautiful production overall, and involving the Dance Theater of Thailand was a dignified highlight. The contestants were extremely prepared and quite different from one another, and I loved how the top 3 represented three different continents.
Iceland tied with Sweden for 10th place averaging both at 8.773 but, as rumors had it, was dropped subjectively (in favor of Sweden) due to a lower interview score.
I hope this musicals numbers show coming back in the Miss Universe so unique!!!!
At 1:30:09, I bet Dick wouldn’t have sounded so eager to visit Mexico City the next year if he knew how rowdy that crowd was gonna be.

What I've noticed.. the production especially the intro is very similar to 1994 in the Philippines. Both versions had their former Miss Universes saying the same thing. To the song Sawadi and Mabuhay. and both had Angela Visser as a commentator. Don't get me wrong, I love both of these editions of MU!
I was not at all surprised after Thailand hosted and present their two titleholders to the world that the Philippines would have to do that also. Remember this was pre Internet and most people do not even know the Philippines had won twice already.
It's not similar by planning. The two countries had their former Miss Universes present at their Miss Universe pageants, because before the 2000s, the Miss Universe Organization always made sure to showcase the host country's former Miss Universe winners, if they had any. By 1992 and 1994, both Thailand and the Philippines had two winners. 1993 in Mexico, they already had one winner, and she was presented but was also on the judging panel.

I had the wonderful moment that I had seen all the contestants closely when they were back to the hotel after their activities. They all were more beautiful than I had seen on TV. Miss Venezuela was like an angel but she didn't smile or talk to anyone like others contestants. She went up to her room right away while the others were at the hotel lobby talking and taking photos with their fans. Miss Turks and Caicos was very suitable for Miss Congeniality as she was very friendly by talking cheerfully and making the people around her always laugh. Miss India was very nice while Miss Belgium was very sexy. I didn't pay much attention to Miss Namibia because I was very busy taking photos with other contestants which I liked more. However Michelle did her best job and won the crown at last. I really think of that wonderful memmory and never forget it.

kawan chiraguna I thought so but felt a little bit disappointed as she was my favorite contestant. Anyway, I supported her to win the crown through the contest. I still thought that if she has been in the top 3 she could have won the crown certainly.

Sonia Saraleidy Rojas Palacios de hecho miss islandia obtuvo mas puntuacion preliminar q niss suecia. ero por unos pocos puntos en la entrevista no clasifico y eso q tenia mayor puntuacion en traje de baño q la sueca. mexico estaba en el top 13 de puntuaciones preliminares turquia en el puesto 15 puerto rico en el puesto 34

Wauuu, no había visto lo espectacular que bailo Miss Colombia de ese año Paola Turbay. Creo que si sucedió algo en la noche final, porque sólo las más carismáticas y sobresalientes en los ensayos y la preliminar obtienen el título de la más bella. La Colombiana mejor entrevista, la más juvenil y carismática, lo demostró en el baile al lado de la Miss Universo que entregaba corona ese año Lupita Jones. Definitivamente en esa edición del Miss Universo algo pasó y eso sólo lo saben los jueces encargados de elegir a la Miss Universo 1992.

Ella es una de esas Miss Venezuela que debieron ganar un Miss Universo, pero la chica que Namibia en realidad era exótica, todo el grupo del top 10 estaba bien. Colombia, la más inteligente y la de Belgica, se veia imponentemente hermosa.
Estuvo difícil, habían mujeres muy bellas.
