- Expelled former ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule, who is now the leader of the African Congress of Transformation (ACT), has announced that his party has formed a strategic partnership with the Umkhonto weSizwe party.
MK is backed by former President Jacob Zuma.
Magashule has been speaking in Pietermaritzburg, where he met with ACT structures.

Zuma's strategy is to grow the MK support base, use his cloud to garner substantial number of seats in parliament and later hand over its leadership to Duduzane. He cannot risk his pension benefits for MK, he wants to enjoy both sides of the cake. His MK party will never become a majority party to govern even in coalition with EFF or ACT and other smaller outfits. But one thing for certain all these parties will reduce ANC majority in parliament.
