9:27 Amazing sound... I intend to do this on mine, but with the exhaust outlet in the original place to reduce the noise inside the car. You did an excellent job!!!
I don't have any engine management lights. I do currently have a loss of power above 3k revs but I haven't investigated it properly yet, and it did this before I changed the exhaust.
@@FastInTheCorners have you checked all the slangs to the turbo? Both me and my brother have a l200 and for a while his l200 also didnt get enough power above 3k i think. Idk which one it is but i recommend checking it
@@rutgerjohanson1846 what do you mean by slangs? I suspect I've got a vacuum issue given the power problem and issues engaging 4WD. I've started on replacing all vacuum hoses but haven't had time to finish it yet!
@@FastInTheCorners sorry for my bad english. Its probably called hoses. Its connected to the turbo in some way. My brother showed me on saturday when we were changing my headgasket. It sounds like a proper American semi the engine noise. I think I'm going to get a 2009ish L200. But with a rear stack pipe coming out behind the cab. Like a Ford F350 Super-duty style.
That makes an awesome sound! I’ve exactly the same truck as you and have thought about a decat and egr delete but then peeps started telling me it would never pass an MOT without the cat? What’s your experience been?
I havent had to MOT it yet, but on the owners pages people say they've had theirs MOTd without a cat with a standard backbox and never had an issue. Technically it is an mot fail if the tester notices its missing, same as the egr delete. Personally I'd keep the standard parts for MOT time on concerned, worth the 364 days of fun 😂
@@FastInTheCorners brilliant that's good then dude! Im thinking of buying this shape L200. Reliablity wise what's your like? Up in Scotland what's mpg roughly you getting? My focus ST is costing me a fortune in petrol I get around 18mpg if I'm lucky 🤣

Hi I love the sound it makes, I would like to have the same results on my hyundai galloper (engine code 4d56t the same as this l200) to have this result it is thus necessary to remove all the exhaust? Or is there still a silencer or catalytic converter? thank you in advance ! (sorry if it's badly said I'm french and I use google translate lol
Dude, maybe. When I removed that exhaust the hanger I thought it was just sat on, it was indeed actually welded to. It wasn't oem, but it was definitely sitting where it was supposed to 😂
Mine is perfect lol no melts but here in the Caribbean we got the mechanical fuel pump and regular td04 turbo so we don't hear sweet sounds like that even tho I straight piped my l200 there weren't any turbo sounds
Hi there, there's a link in my bio to the kit I used. It's from turbo down pipe back, so replaces the cat, and exits at the drivers side in front of the rear wheel
I bought the exhaust as part of a kit linked in the description and it doesn't specify whay size the pipe is, just that it has a 3" tip. Looks same size as stock exhaust tbh
@@marcuskarlsson9221 I had no power above 3k rpm. I was guessing at the time but I found a vac leak on an old hose on the solenoid so that confirmed I'd had a boost issue, and changing the hose gave me power above 3k again. To be fair its still as loud, I was just trying to guess why others were saying theirs was quieter than mine!
@@FastInTheCorners i was just wondering because my turbo sounds like yours and all my friends say it’s gonna break but i had no problem last 6 months and it’s not taking any oil so im curious why the turbo sounds more than others i Will look for a leak as you said

That's a result of having a straight pipe on a variable geometry turbo I believe! As far as I know the veins in the turbo allow the pressure to be dumped through the exhaust, I don't think a normal diesel turbo will do this, like an L200 before the variable geometry turbo for example.
That’s a Mitsubishi Triton in Australia. I have the next model up but it’s a v6 petrol. It needs a turbo diesel.
I love that you can actually hear the turbo whine
Brave man, thought your ramps were on the narrow side 😕 Nice job with the exhaust change 👍
Maybe they're a bit wider in person! It wasn't going anywhere though, they're pretty good. Thanks for the comment 🤗
I would have absolutely have that same reaction to that sound

There is a grinding noise in the engine. I wonder what is causing it?
Hello brother, have you ever upgraded the speakers on this car? Can you make a video of it showing the stock speakers and the upgrades ?
I actually haven't, yet. It is something I really would like to do though, as I've got a Sony head unit in and the standard speakers are just so bad 👎

For 4d56t only the muffler was in that others is straight pipes
Tengo un 4x2....quiero hacer lo mismo. me encanta el sonido del turbo.
what about MOT mate? do they moan about it, or you are fitting the stock one?
I'll bolt on the cat if I need to. That's the good thing about a system with a decat pipe, both the ends are still there to pop it back in!
In Indonesia any L200 or L300 with Wolf Sound, it use Wolf exhaust
How to make that owl sound? My mine is l200 4d56 turbo, but it doesnt sound like that
How many inch is your exhaust?
Do you have the variable geometry turbo? I believe this is what causes the own noise as the boost is higher at lower rpms for torque with this system.
I dont,
My turbo is old TD04
Is your turbo variable?
lift the front next, it'll look way better with a 3 inch lift
Que tan económica es esta camioneta?
hello do you know what is the size of the exhaust pipe just before the cat? is it 51mm? or 63mm?
Did you Get a check engine light after? Also. We’re did you order the kit?
No engine light, there are no sensors on this part of thr exhaust. There's a link to the kit in the video description 👍

Mine does do that, but I didnt fit the gauge until after the exhaust so I've no idea if it was doing that before

Any other upgrades besides exhaust
I have a "tuning box" wired into the ecu loom to add fuel, and a manual boost controller for the VGT actuator

how many inches is this pipe?
why my l200 turbo sond is vare loo
How's the consumption after the fit?
Can't say I noticed any difference to be honest
