This performance sounded really messy to me...I mean it wasn't bad for what I assume is a high school band. Just kind of a few flaws. 1.) The snare drummers weren't together. 2.) Everyone was either rushing or dragging. 3.) The tempo was too fast for these players.
This was a combination of the three Ann Arbor high schools, each of which individually sounds quite good, but together it does sound rather sloppy. This is not indicative of the individual bands, as many college band directors have said that they surpass most college campus bands they hear.
