What I love about the finale is how they complete the characters' arks by showing a different side to them. Vilde isn't simply a socialite, she's just using that as a distraction; Eva is no longer the lost girl and is now possibly the most well adjusted of all of them; Chris is not just the comic relief; Even isn't just being taken care of by Isak, they balance each other out; instead of William always getting whatever he wants, he makes the unspoken decision to follow Noora for her happiness. And of course throughout the season we've seen that Sana is no longer the lone, detached, sassy one in black; she's here at the end with all of her friends and it's a world of colour, beyond her beautiful pink outfit. What a show. Even at its worst it was better than most shows of its type and at it's best it was some of the finest TV there is, doing important things that just hadn't been done before. And despite the fact it's been, what, seven months since it finished, people are still talking about it, magazine articles and photoshoots for publications in different parts of the world are still being dedicated to it, awards are still being given to it and the cast are being used to greet visiting royals. "William and Kate are coming to visit, let's get the cast of a teen show that finished last year to talk to them!"- _crazy._

Skam is a real masterpiece that deserves a spot in the Louvre or some shit I'm telling you no Hollywood or American production could ever make such a series on the same level, not in their wildest dreams. Money and high tech don't mean anything, Skam was low budget and it blows everything else away.
Hiyie!! i know this is late but i'm just a new Skam fan because this series only got recommended to me this year and i just want to know if where did you get this information? Is it an interview or what...? Soorry just curious. I just want to see it, especially because i just finished it and i'm so happy that they ended up together. But i just hope that they had more scene's in the last season because the scene that they had is so not enough for me.. Lol😂😭..
You may watch the series again and notice how strongly Eva react to everything she hears about Jonas through all the seasons, and Jonas never really wanted to split up.....I think Eva just needed to establish her independence to be on equal standing with Jonas.

Idk if you know this by now, since you finished the show a while ago, but here’s some trivia about the end: If you’re wondering why the image quality changed during Jonas’s speech at the end, that was a deliberate choice on the creator’s part. They filmed the footage playing on a screen to show that the perspective has shifted yet again and you (the viewer) are the main character now, watching the show. The story is now from your POV, so take what you’ve learned from the show and go out into the world. The comments you see are from real people/fans who left them on the SKAM website and social medias.

We discussed every detail in every clip througout the series, and as you can see comments are from just a few days prior to the airing of the finale. Many of us have met IRL many times and have become friends. We were so worried We were gonna lose eachother and that the FB page would just die as the show was over. We were like «what now?», and that is what is shown in the last few seconds: You have become like an alternative family for me. What are We going to do now? Another thing that about the ending, which is kind of hard to get the first time you watch it (at least I didn't, someone had to tell me), is that the clips you see from the last episode during Jonas' speech, is the butterfly effect (which William talks about) in practice. It's been a while since I saw the full scenes, so I might not remember them correctly, but it's something like this: We see Eva and Penetrator Chris in bed, Eva talking to Vilde on the phone about asking advice from someone. P. Chris hears this and asks Jonas for advice about Eva. When Emma approaches Eva and the girls and asks about the party, Eva says they all have to look after each other. This makes girl Chris go to the doctor to talk about Vilde, and the doctor tells Chris that what she sees is a friend that is more than good enough. Chris writes the same to Even in the group chat when he says Isak is too good for him. There might be more than this??? I think I have to watch it again...
An astute viewer had pointed out that the final scenes with web chatter is meant to represent us the viewer's point of view. So we are given our segment too! :)

This is so powerful, especially after all the comments about the show they were showing, especially because I was crying (again) at the end and I had to took off my glasses and you did the same at the same time and then I coulnd’t see your face anymore because I didn’t have my glasses obviously, but I heard you kinda sobbing and I was doing the same and yeah, just that, love spreads too.

This finale is indeed one of the best I ever saw; everything was perfect! Jonas and Eva getting back together was only fate: they didn't break up cause of lack of love, and the pChris and Jonas's clips this episode showed that they still love each other. I was super happy (and emotional) with this end 😍 I also remember you saying you liked this song (Lover, where do you live?) when it first played in season 1. Is one of my favorite Skam songs, and I must say if I wasn't already crying with the Vilde and Chris scene, I would have started then 😅 I'm really looking forward all the other Skams you're gonna react to, Joe ❤️

Apparently season 5 was supposed to be Vilde sooooo sad not be able to explore her character indepth. I can watch amd re watch this series so many times and never get tired of it ❤❤
First of all, now that you have finished I just want to thank you for allowing me to rewatch Skam again with you. I started following you and watching them right at the beginning, when you still had same doubts and I remember thinking, this guy is going to be so surprised. Also, loved doing the 31day challenge you created on twitter. Today I was just waiting for the "removal of the glasses" 😁. It took its time. Not during Even's part, or William's. Thought that during Eskild and Linn's we were almost there. Vilde and Chris made me think: this is it. Joe is going to lose it. But you managed to hold on. 👏👏 Never expected that it would be with Jonas and Eva. Had already my own funny written reaction to it, but suddendly when it happened ( first I just shouted to my computer screen YES, THE GLASSES) but then I just felt like you. Emotions every where, and suddenly, a funny comment to a youtuber lost its appeal and became something very serious too. Yes. This show is...and this ending... like you, I too felt...no words. When this was live we got so many messages and other stuff outside of the clips that helped build up and explain a lot, especially during this last episode. I especially liked the messages from William, when he talked to Chris. Explains a bit why he just falls for Emma, wich comes off a bit weird :P
I loved 3.9 and it still always makes me sob everytime I watch it. But when "Lover where do you live" starts playing and the two antagonists find each other... that is my favorite scene of the whole show.

it wasn't in the episode. Each character had one day in the spotlight on the SKAM website for the final week, and Even's day started with a text hinting at the video (if I remember correctly). Throughout the day you could try and find the clip yourself (which was pretty easy since the hint was "it starts with a G" or smth (or T in English), and then at the end of the day we got a text from Isak to Even where he linked the video (after he finally found it) so we, the viewers, could also watch it. That's why he didn't react to it ;)

Just hoping that one day they'll give us the reunion season Vilde deserves, maybe years from now, when they're in college or even adults, idk. it's wishful thinking but I think it could be possible. The cast was kind of done but they're still really passionate about their characters and the show and idk I just think they will, maybe when Julie is finished with the American version
It's strange because I think season 4 had the best clips of the entire show, like the 'Los Losers' scene, Eva's Birthday party and the karaoke scene. But it's joint 3rd on my list with season 1. My order is season 2, season 3 and then joint third is season 1 and 4. It's just such a fantastic show

I’m still bitter that it ended now. I think the show could’ve had two more seasons where season 5 could’ve been about Vilde and 6 could’ve been about Jonas and see his relationship with Eva but from his perspective this time around and then getting back together and then it would’ve been more fitting if he ended it with him giving a speech the way the show started. Ugh I miss skam 😭

I would really like to start watching SKAM France and/or Italia, but on Daily Motion, there are constant ads that drive me insane. ALSO, you really should react to "SKAM - 25 years later". It's on youtube. Basically a bunch of Norwegian celebrities made a SKAM-parody for a Norwegian talk show where they show us their take on where all the characters are 25 years later. The woman who created the Norway skam is doing the American one you can look it up. She said that she feels she could do more in America then in Norway. So you can expect the American one to be good too
The Vilde-part was what hit me the hardest, not gonna lie. Wish we had a season with her. The Jonas/Eva/Chris/Emma-part was a bit too random for my taste, but I'm happy for the Eva/Jonas-shippers. Overall it was a great way to end this, going through the characters who didn't get a season of their own while still featuring all of the main characters. American SKAM has the writer and director from the Norwegian version working on it, so there's alot of hope for that being good. Skam has been unescapable in Norway for so long that I personally have gotten a bit of an overdose, but I'm still really proud (as a Norwegian) of how well the show has done worldwide. Norwegians usually watch so much American and British entertainment, it's kinda fun to see it being the other way around. Takk for alt
Even though Eva is not the most interesting girl in the world, she's better off with Jonas. He is smart and nice and loyal, whereas Chris is the typical kid who is cool in high school because he's just as superficial and idiot as most the guys considered popular in that period. I don't find him good-looking either. Bloody tosser (Chris).

Oh god, I'm still not over this. I'm gonna miss this show forever, and, as lame as it sounds, it honestly changed my life. The kinda show you thjnk about & compare all other shows to. It sucks that it didn't get to go all the way, and Julie didn't get to do all the seasons that she originally wanted, but I'll cherish what we did get 💖 I'm actually really looking forward to SKAM US too, seeing as it's directed, written and fully created by the original skam creator, Julie Andem. It won't be the same, but, if she's behind the wheel, it'll be a close second for sure!

The cast was kind of done but they're still really passionate about their characters and the show and idk I just think they will, maybe when Julie is finished with the American version

It's strange because I think season 4 had the best clips of the entire show, like the 'Los Losers' scene, Eva's Birthday party and the karaoke scene. But it's joint 3rd on my list with season 1. My order is season 2, season 3 and then joint third is season 1 and 4. It's just such a fantastic show

I’m still bitter that it ended now. I think the show could’ve had two more seasons where season 5 could’ve been about Vilde and 6 could’ve been about Jonas and see his relationship with Eva but from his perspective this time around and then getting back together and then it would’ve been more fitting if he ended it with him giving a speech the way the show started. Ugh I miss skam 😭
Totally i mean it could have been nice to atleast see how Jonas and Eva's new relationship bloom again especially that they've grown up and matured... God i miss them... 😭

I live in America & watched SKAM on Daily Motion. I would really like to start watching SKAM France and/or Italia, but on Daily Motion, there are constant ads that drive me insane. ALSO, you really should react to "SKAM - 25 years later". It's on youtube. Basically a bunch of Norwegian celebrities made a SKAM-parody for a Norwegian talk show where they show us their take on where all the characters are 25 years later. The woman who created the Norway skam is doing the American one you can look it up. She said that she feels she could do more in America then in Norway. So you can expect the American one to be good too
The Vilde-part was what hit me the hardest, not gonna lie. Wish we had a season with her. The Jonas/Eva/Chris/Emma-part was a bit too random for my taste, but I'm happy for the Eva/Jonas-shippers. Overall it was a great way to end this, going through the characters who didn't get a season of their own while still featuring all of the main characters.
American SKAM has the writer and director from the Norwegian version working on it, so there's alot of hope for that being good. Skam has been unescapable in Norway for so long that I personally have gotten a bit of an overdose, but I'm still really proud (as a Norwegian) of how well the show has done worldwide. Norwegians usually watch so much American and British entertainment, it's kinda fun to see it being the other way around.

Even though Eva is not the most interesting girl in the world, she's better off with Jonas. He is smart and nice and loyal, whereas Chris is the typical kid who is cool in high school because he's just as superficial and idiot as most the guys considered popular in that period. I don't find him good-looking either. Bloody tosser (Chris).

Oh god, I'm still not over this. I'm gonna miss this show forever, and, as lame as it sounds, it honestly changed my life. The kinda show you thjnk about & compare all other shows to. It sucks that it didn't get to go all the way, and Julie didn't get to do all the seasons that she originally wanted, but I'll cherish what we did get 💖
I'm actually really looking forward to SKAM US too, seeing as it's directed, written and fully created by the original skam creator, Julie Andem. It won't be the same, but, if she's behind the wheel, it'll be a close second for sure!
