Oh man, I live in NT and I don't think you chose the best place for banh can haha. This one is a little bit for tourist. I've been there already. But don't be afraid to go in a place with a big mama and many locals around haha. There's one still in the same street. It's a the beginning of To Hien Thanh when you come from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai. You can't miss it. Always packed haha
When I was in Nha Trang 30 years ago I visited an oyster farm with my rented motorcycle and that, in my opinion, was the best legacy of the French. Are those nurseries still there?
Whats different between banh khot and banh can? :S Love your Vietnam series dude. Never been to vietnam, my parents is vietnamese, i was born and raised in Norway. Got my plane tickets for january 2025 for the very first time! cant wait to test my very very broken vietnamese haha
Banh khot is fried in oil, quite a lot actually. And these aren’t, I prefer these as they feel a lot healthier. Probably a couple other differences too
David, the way you speak Vietnamese to people is disrespectful. Don't shorten the sentences. Addressing the person by saying chi, anh, co, or chu is expected for every sentence. I like the videos, but please work on your language.
daaamn thats a thing i will struggle with when visiting vietnam in januaray as an Viet Kieu from Norway haha. Born and raised in Norway by vietnamese parents, we didnt get to learn vietnamese in school. I feel like vietnamese ppl gets very offended if adressed wrong right? so if similar age i use Em for the ladies? and always Chi if they clearly older than me? Cô/bà THEY BETTER BE OLD hahaha. im 35. Anh/chu should be fine
@welovedji1116 Really, it's not that hard. Just don't shorten your sentences like the equivalent of speaking slang with older people. Instead of saying "khoe khong," say "anh co khoe khong." Saying "khoe khong" without honorifics is like asking someone older than you, "you okay?", instead of what you really mean, "how are you?" It sounds disrespectful in all languages. It's not that everyone is offended. It just signifies that you weren't taught properly. As long as you try to speak in full sentences, you'll be fine. And when they answer your questions, or tell you something, the respectful thing to do is acknowledge it with a "za". That's the basics that'll get you through most conversations.
I'm more in love with the cook haha

Stop asking ppl “khỏe không” you sound ridiculous…hổn láo
Meal looks sad….you got suckered into a tourist trap…probably the reason there are no local vietnamese eating there.
Lovely legs on the Viet bird, Om Nom Nom
That is banh khot.
That’s something different
@@davidkhai ruclips.net/video/iK4NydD8Y2g/видео.htmlsi=N80KOfEeupdVB2Sq tell me how is that different from what he is eating?
I think the waiter looked disappointed when you spoke Vietnamese because he realised he wouldn't be able to over charge you 😂
The menu is in English bro
Nah, he looks tired from all the msg in his food that he’s been eating
Great legs
